For anyone doing the o ring mount mod, the detachable frame pushes down the plate.... Either make it so that the frame sits higher or trim the part that pushes the plate down.
Your switches are more expensive than your kit. So much dedication =)

Your subs are too small i dont think bigger size with the same fonts gonna mess your aesthetics. Anyways, good content! Definitely worth to watch. Awesome work man. Keep it up

My akko 3068b sounds pretty similar! i did tape mod, 2 layers of a japanese painter tape, they are very thick plastic tape, Pe foam, and the case already came with a thin foam, lubed with 205g0 akko red crystal switch and sounds pretty great, i think there is only so much we can do with this metal plate, i prefer PC plate.
Hi! I'm planning to mod my RKG68 however I'm wondering if there's a difference between a lubed/clipped/modded stock stabilizer vs a lubed/clipped/modded Everglide/Durock stabilizer?

Hello bro. As for the o ring size, u can consider using the same size as im using in the video, 4mm x 1mm x 1.5mm.

Where did you get the container for your switches at the start of the vid? It looks like the one from kinetic labs, but doesn't have the logo

did the north facing leds make the 9009 keycaps have interference?
Yes u are absolutely correct. The north facing switch will cause an interference with the cherry profile keycaps.
Actually it sounds worse than real life. In real life, yes i can feel the interference with the keycaps, and theres a slight scratchy sounds to it, but it wont bother me that much.
Did you have the link for the Eva foam and the silicone sheet??? because I try to find for my rkg68 for sound dampening(that I no need to cut it)😂.

I bought those foam and silicone sheets via local shopee. For the silicone sheet, im affraid u need to "fine tuned" them yourself bro. Cut a hole and whatnot.

I have same keyboard. After lube and holee modded, the spacebar still sounded like yours - still bad and with pinging. I used the stock stabs but from your video doesnt seem changing the stabilizer will improve it
I believe theres nothing much we can do regarding the pinging coming from the spacebar. And also, please note that this tangies is known to have a high pitched sound signature, hence causing this ping sound. And also please note that, no matter what modding method u use for that spacebar, it wont contribute to the sound of the spacebar. Overall, the pinging is due to the hollow and very large empty space inside the case. Maybe the silicone pouring method will help in this regards.
As for me, i really like the clackiness and that high pitch signature coming from a tangerines. Well in this hobby, u'd probably already heard this alot, its personal preferences.
Regarding the stabs, please note that u need to type and feel it frist hand, the sound alone doesnt give any justice. U cannot simply just judge with just listening to the sound (unless its rattling like theres no tomorrow).
And may i know what do u mean by "still sounded like yours - still bad..". Does yours rattling? Not syncing when pressing? Mine seems ok, no rattle, left side and right side's sync perfectly as u can see in the video.
On the other hand, i feel sad for u cos u holee mod but the spacebar still doesnt meet your criteria or preference.
In the end, i like how this keyboard turns out, eventhough theres some corners are cut, well, hence the price. U cannot just simply mod a usd 50 keyboard and expect it to turn out to be a jelly epoch overnight. Theres a solid reason why the price differs. Peace bro
Based on the sound from this video, there’s a scratchiness sound and pinging especially on the right side of the spacebar. Maybe it just exist in this video or my speaker, but i have tried few headphones and speakers and it’s still there. If you find it sounding great, then good for you if you enjoy it. Peace

Pull the connector slowly. Micro wigggle em left and right while u are at it. Hope it helps 🙏🏼

I dont think so. But u can always program them using their software.

Hey man, I heard that the 'RK 68' has an led bump that bulges out so it's incompatible with some switches like gateron black ink. I wonder if the 'RK G68' has the same issue

The RK G68 also got that "led bump", but i cant say for sure whether the bump is the same height or RK did some changes on the bump height to resolve the issue etc etc or not because i didnt have RK68 on hand to compare them side by side.

The interference is a little to none. U wont noticed it. Maybe this is because of the keycaps im using.

There is some interference. But not that huge.
tried same mod and all, but really cant remove the plastic sound from the board. Anyway great video, definitely will watch more.

Mmm. Seems that i encounter no issue with the o-ring mod. The removable frame fit perfectly as it should.

@@cheskacapio2859 I see. Maybe u need to tighten down the screw a little bit. Just enough so that the frame/outer cover could be install properly.
