Greg Koch and the Tone Controls-Thems the Breaks

- Here is a sampler from the live in the studio DVD that will be coming out this spring featuring the original lineup of my band Greg Koch and the Tone Controls with Gary Koehler on drums and vocals and Kevin Mushel on bass. This was the title track of a tape we put out in 1990 which featured our original material that was a mixture of chicken fried blues-funk, jazz and rock...
We have been gigging with this lineup again and doing a bunch of our old tunes as well as some new tunes and we thought it would be cool to just run them live and to capture it on video and audio. We did this in late November if I recall correctly. It will come out within the next couple of months possibly with a companion CD as well as the DVD. The project is as yet, untitled.
Please check my website at gregkoch.com and join my Facebook page at Facebook.com/gregkochmusic for details regarding the release. I hope you enjoy it!

Hiya, Greg....
Spent many a wonderful hour watching you at the Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee years ago. You and Perry Weber. Glad to see you are now better than ever. Your 'Spank It' bits are always one of my favorites.

The Leslie sim is luscious.
That one lick is, Straight-Up, 1972 ZZ Top! Kudos to you Greg. That's a compliment I don't lavish often or ever. If you ever find yourself on the East Coast, and needing a bassist, give me a call. Been a working pro for 32 years. It would be my pleasure.
for a brief second there I thought the bassist was Nolly from Periphery. Greg you are Koch of the walk my man.
This song is just so freaking good..
Tone a licious... Thanks for your dedication and fine talent that you always put on display for others!
Love your playing and personality. Please let me know when you and the boys are close to Phoenix AZ after the plague. I would travel many miles to enjoy your company and playing.

loving that rotary tone Greg... well all of the guitar based jiggery-pokery tbh!
I programmed one in my Line6 HD500X and "whipped it out" on house band duties at a local blues jam last tuesday... one of the older regulars was doing Stormy Monday. you should have seen the heads turn when i took a Hammond Solo. many questions after from the "old school" brigade :)

Greg….you are great!!!
I was wondering where the keyboard/organ player was, then realised it was the mighty Gregory Kochery in full effect!
Ham and Eggs for breakfast. Les Paul for lunch.
Nice little combo you got going on there. Digging the drummer too, holding down the beat, holding up the voice. Bass man doing his thang, locking you all down.
