The invert enclosures, especially the vertical ones, would be great for small colonies of mourning geckos! I’d love to get one to try with mine. They’re in an 8x8x12 enclosure right now and I’m wanting to upgrade them to something larger since I now have 2 adults, 1 juvenile, 3 babies and several eggs close to hatching.
Thank you so much for making this video. I’m going to check pricing on their website right now so I can make plans and save up to get one. He left live insects on our porch in high heat and in our mailbox in the heat as well. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ I just don’t understand not doing your job correctly. The moment you mentioned cats falling into enclosures - I remembered an incident from 6-7 years ago - my cat did not fall in - but the tank had a sliding lid - charlie the corn snake escaped- I woke up because i thought my cat was chewing on a plastic bag...I turned on the lamp and I see that darn cat pouncing on a bag. there was a 1-4 inch section of a tail visible for a split second - luckily charlie only had some minor surface scratches (it took 2 sheds but he was fine) and i bought a lock so the cage couldn't be unhooked by the cat, then nosed open by albino charlie - this luckily has been my only reptile escape.

My friend needs one of these tanks! She lives in Maine but her dream pet snake that she finally has is a bit of a hoodini, and likes to escape literally cages that should be un-escapable for a snake! He’s gotten out twice time with no one knowing how! (She even bought a new tank with a new kind of lock!) and he’s still slipped out and the tank is for snakes! The first time he escaped also, he was missing in the house for a whole week! We thought for sure without heat things would not end well but she found him alive and drinking out of the dog’s water dish! And it was winter time in Maine soooo really a miracle he survived! He’s a base king snake 🐍

Knowing you live in a cold climate, have you ever run into trouble keeping reptiles warm in the winter? Have you ever had a power outage that put them at risk to freezing? If you ever got in this situation what would you do? Considering moving to a colder climate and want to know in advance. Would you be willing to make a video on this? Thanks.

Unless your home is very small and/or has extremely poor insulation, it would take a VERY drastically long outage to make it cold enough to hurt your reptile if you were able to maintain their temps properly before. Most herps aren't so delicate that they'll drop dead from being cold for a few hours. If it were literally freezing temps IN your house you would have way more issues than just worrying about your herps lol.
I don't live very far north, but since the colder it gets the more likely you are to have a house with central heating its not very common to struggle THAT much to keep them warm. The worst I've ever had to do was run a space heated next to their enclosures and that was just because I like it a little chilly in the rest of the house. The main issue that I actually run into during the winter is humidity. The dry winter air just sucks it all up and it makes it difficult to maintain humidity levels.
Anyway that said, in an emergency situation your best bet is to have a disaster-kit already prepped with small travel enclosures and pocket warmers for each reptile. You wouldn't want to put them right next to your animal or let them have contact with it but it's the same logic as shipping them really. You could just stuff them in a cardboard box in their travel carriers and put a heat pack or two in there. Just be sure to check on them often to make sure its staying warm.

I can't wait until they can ship to Australia. that hug 8ft enclosure would be perfect for monitors or a mega home for my carpets
