I have this for my garters, I'm frustrated that the sliding doors rattle and I worry that I'm going to shatter them. But the size is amazing! And my garters love the space
@@michex2081 she gave birth in captivity and we released her and all her babies. My dad found her in our garage and I kept her just out of fascination. That’s a actuallly what sparked my love for snakes
That's my problem with enclosures.....they almost always have a place for small things to escape. I've been wanting to do an enclosure for an entire ecosystem that I can access (jar eco's are hard to do maintenance). Still searching for the perfect enclosure.
I have the same enclosure but a 67 gal. I do believe in tanks over 40 gallons. People say that they get stressed and won’t eat in a large tank. I got a brand new ball last week and he was born 4 months ago. He’s pretty small but is doing great in the 67 gal. I fed him today, only 5 days after I got him and he ate great. Point being… large enclosures are far better than 40 gallons
yea its an absolute myth that reptiles get stressed in too big of a tank. There is no maximum, please put your reptiles in the biggest enclosure you can afford. Its only a problem when they are babies, because babies have a harder time finding food and water on their own. But people for some reason forget they aren't on their own, theyre in captivity. When i upgraded my snake i had to lead her to her water dish, but after that it was no problem. Its just common sense
Does it not bother you that you can't lift the doors off? I hate it because I can't clean the tracks and glasses as well as I wanted and definitely not gonna get another one. I have exo terra and another brand with sliding doors that I can just pop off to clean them.
I have the same one except it’s the vertical one. Mine is very heavy but I can lift it. It makes noises when you’re doing stuff in it. And yeah there’s little opening between the glass and the top. Definitely better ones out there.
Very proud of you for opening that box with a spoon. You are proof that we as humans can accomplish anything! Aren’t humans just absolutely astonishing?
That's the exact one I have for my bearded dragon. 10/10 recommend. It is really solid, and there are lots of other nice features for humidity control that I wouldn't ever use because my baby likes it mostly dry not mostly
I got the same one. I used 100% silicone with no mold or mildew chemicals and silicone all the glass on the outside. It also studied it up. Overall not a bad one.
I just got that enclosure yesterday and my dad and I STRUGGLED for a good hour before we got it, this video would’ve helped if I had just looked it up 😂😂, adorable snake though ❤❤
I don’t really be seeing videos like this but pretty cool your the first one man seeing you with theses animals and stuff like dang maybe that would be pretty cool to do as well
Sorry, I accidentally hit send, mid sentence because my son decided that the floor was suddenly lava, and he desperately needed to jump up on the coutch, step on my stomach then in turn fall, landing with his elbow in my neck.... So, like I was saying, you had so many pointed objects to choose from to open the box, and you decide that a spoon is the best option! Lol! The dull round spoon 🥄 is certainly the best choice when looking for a pointy object to cut a box open. Lmao 😂 you made that spoon work, though, so that's friggin awsome. I have done the same thing, so I get it. It's still hilarious though!!! You get more credit, though cause I struggled a little. You did it with grace! Nice!!🐍
One major flaw in this enclosure is the doors. You can't lift them off and it makes cleaning the doors and door tracks unnecessarily difficult. Which is why I will not buy another one. I might just sell mine and buy exo terra instead.
Tired asf rn so I'm hardly sane but that looks like a cool ass table and ngl I'd buy one just to make a table out of it/greenhouse for my plants cause why not
They must have two different versions. I have a 50gallon just like this for my year old BCI but it's a bit different. The walls are all black glass, like your base is and it has a clip on lock. I don't have a hole for the wires, though.
The dude just used a spoon to open that box. My man, we've got these things called KNIVES now. I'd tell him about box cutters, but it'd probably blow his mind.😅
You can buy some of that thick clear double sided tape and put it inbetween the gap but make sure you dont take the film off of both sides of you wont be able to open it
I bought this enclosure for my corn snake, she’s about to turn 1 in a couple of weeks. She is constantly escaping to the point where i had to put her in another enclosure because it was just too dangerous. Do you have any tips on how to make it escape proof? she’s not as large as the snake you’re putting in it which is probably another factor i just really think she would love the space.
For some reason, i'm getting this video in my recommendations now instead of on my subscriptions page when it came out??? And I can't see it on your profile at all..
Never put mammals in aquariums or glass enclosures... it is not good for them and regularly causes respiratory issues and its hard to keep clean on top of that.
“Penelope’s got a skinny little boyfriend you haven’t met yet”
You are a man of many and great words
"i like your funny words, reptile man"
shes got a twink bf
House snakes the males are sooooooo much smaller 😢
The freaking SPOONING sent me, OMFG

True. Like there was a knife right there too

Garters are awesome I had a gravid wc garter as a pet for 6 hours as a child. Did you have to put anything to seal the door gap?
@@leafystreet O...only 6 hours? What happened after that?

@@leafystreet Oh, a happy ending. What a relief 😅 My mom got anxiety when I chased snakes as a kid. Thank you for sharing your origin story!
@@leafystreet I have a piece of cardboard currently in there. I want to see if I can find something better to prevent possible escapee babies
it has to be perfect because its for my favorite snake -> doesnt read instructions and hopes for the best
Did this man just open a box with a SPOON?
That cage looks beautiful already, I hope you have fun getting creative with the set up! Penelope has a mansion now
Good thing you figured it out because the instructions I read confused me more than just doing it myself.
literally my favourite yt channel rn
Thansk for the heads up, that review really was brutal
There are so many little visual gags in your videos honestly I can re-watch 5 times and still find new stuff to laugh at
Penelope is adorable 🥺

I got one (the smaller 25g one for my baby Cali King) absolutely love it 😊 could definitely see myself getting more reptizoo brand enclosures later on

Nice! Is Penelope living in there? I’m excited to see how you build it.
yea, actually going to pair her in it. going to try and breed in a more natural environement
Thanks for the honest review. I was thinking about buying one soon, but not entirely sold on it now.
Opening the box with a spoon made me laugh so hard 😭
It’s cool that it comes in such a small package

Will you still be able to open it if you put weather stripping on it?

I have that exact same exact same enclosure for my corn snake lol. He’s a 13yo chunky boy so slipping through the cracks ain’t exactly a concern.
That's the one I got from my royal pythons! It's great!
The gap may be because af a door I have a repti zoo crate and that's what mine has

i want that for my hamter tbh
Plz dont put hamter in glass enclosures 🙏 don't take my word, research it. Its not good for any rodents or small mammals.

The fact that he is cutting the tape with a spoon😂
What kind of snake is Penelope? I'm new to snakes keeping 😊

I have the same one in mine, won't keep in humidity
Don't think I've ever seen someone open a box with a spoon!! 😆
Ditto, only myself.
That bottom waterproof?
my name jumpscared me omg
bro really opened the box with a spoon 💀💀
I just found the Ididathing of the reptile world. Fabulous😂😂
Can you water proof these?
Could one theoretically use this for other small pets, like hamsters and hermit crabs (separately ofc)?
Never put mammals in aquariums or glass enclosures... it is not good for them and regularly causes respiratory issues and its hard to keep clean on top of that.
The spoon as a package tool is completely unhinged
okay but my question is does it keep humidity levels somewhat consistant??
No it doesn't, unless you want arid environment. I had to cover half of the lid with plastics to keep humidity high enough for a ball python.
How much did it cost
My old snake escaped through that gap in the door :( she was a baby corn snake..
But i have a new one, and i'll be more carefull
Definitely probably 😅
How much did it cost?
What tank is this?
What breed is the snake?
Where can we get it?
How are you gonna open the sliding glass door if you steal it
The top does have an opening as well doesn't it? So you don't really NEED to use this door. Like sealing your garage door shut.
What size is this? And is there a link?
