I’ve heard a lot of good things about Custom Reptile Habitats, and watching the recent Snake Discovery video, they put together each enclosure before shipping so all the parts should fit.
They look awesome would love to get one but I find them a bit overpriced. I mean I know reptile tanks are expensive as is but still. I'm still getting one nonetheless

I recently tested this enclosure and I have experience with Zen, Vision, Showcase, Blackbox, Focus, Dragonhaus, ExoTerra, Zilla, ZooMed, Thrive, and Cryptic, and Carolina Custom Cages. I was shockingly pleased with this. I have a Carpet Python in it and so far no complaints, I’m happy with the enclosure and the price is so inexpensive.

I recently just bought this enclosure and it just came in. I am BEYOND happy with it. Everything went together so smoothly, and for someone who has medical issues lifting things- the lightweight was a godsend. My beardie is happier than ever in his new mansion! I bought this enclosure just because of this video, as I’ve been looking for a 4x2! So thank you Alex!
I got mine a couple weeks ago and LOVE them. We had one single handle screw missing. Biggest complaint is the static electricity build up. They attracted every shed hair off three dogs and a cat!!!
I’d definitely recommend this for larger snakes, I keep my adult ball python in a similar enclosure and she seems to thrive in it. It’s a bit big for her but I put in some extra hides and greenery
I actually bought mine from there a while back and i actually really like it.i paid 180ish i think. It was way cheaper and i wanted to upgrade my rescue beardie really badly. I haven't had any issues with it so far.
The newer V2 Dubai enclosure comes with the screen top assembled and the screws are black. I didn't reserve directions, but it comes with a small silver door lock that goes in between the overlap of the glass. Mine has been tested by a toddle and passed. I haven't gotten my snake yet. It was really hard to put the sides of the foundation together, but I feel like it's pretty sturdy.
I helped put one of these together for someone, and really liked it! Setup was pretty straight forward, and we also sealed around the bottom to prevent any leaks. I can't wait to get one of my own someday soon!
I have one of these enclosures for my bearded dragon and while I am very happy with the price I do have some problems. That middle section where the two glass panes overlaps gets dirty and its almost impossible to clean without disassembling. My bearded dragon also loves to glass surf and because of the metal potruding out form the glass wall his nails were getting cut very short by constantly scratching at it. He started bleeding and all his nails have become extremely short and the vet said to cover the bottom part with felt or paper to minimize this.
I got a MUCH more expensive pvc enclosure from a different company and it was pvc on top which ended up being a bad thing. It was holding WAY too much heat like an oven and I ended up having to drill a bunch of 1/2" holes in the top for ventilation. I like the screen top on this enclosure much better!
I have an enclosure almost identical to this from Symtom. I believe the only difference is the bottom panel is PVC for mine instead of acrylic, and the emblem and logo is different, of course.
I was going to get one of these but they sold out almost immediately 😭 I ended up going with Reptizoo and can't complain. Similar assembly, except it's an all glass enclosure.
I have had an Exo Terra 36x18x18 for about a year now, for my leopard gecko. I have about 4-5" of Semi-Arid substrate from Josh's Frogs. I have been leery of ordering PVC enclosures (at least ones in my price range) online and local glass enclosure options are limited. Nice to know that the Dubia choices are likely to be of sufficient quality AND price. I use them exclusively for feeders and have always received good product for a fair price.
I was so freakin nervous watching this because I had literally just bought one and expect it on the 11th. If you were this positive about it… I’m super excited now lol!! Let’s see if it can handle spray foam and drylock 🤣😂
Thanks for reviewing that enclosure. I've been looking at getting that one because it's the cheapest one I've seen. Good to know that it's not only affordable, but good quality too.
I’m actually glad I saw this because I was saving up for the Zen habitat enclosures… I mean I always thought they were overpriced, but man does this habitat have better quality
Alex I’m thrilled you are being brutally honest. I will never buy anything again that needs such assembly! To many bad experiences that would leave one traumatized. Companies that really stand by their products should love to have you do a review.
I imagine the mesh screen comes preassembled because inexperienced people are more likely to cut themselves on the wires. The corners of the PVC are obs sharp but far less hazardous to the oblivious.
I bought a PVC enclosure off ebay from some guy that made the kits. it was about $100 more than this one but the PVC was about 1/2 inch thick, tempered glass doors, has that 4 inch strip across the bottom front like this one (PVC black not the clear) but also has a 4 inch strip across the top front and came with a hydrometer and thermometer that mounted in that top part. also didnt have a mesh top but PVC and has these big vented slots on the sides. also came with a light fixture that mounted to the roof of the enclosure. was also put together with screws not just knocked together like this one. had it about 4 years now, mounted a humidity controller to it for the vicks cool mist humidifier i use to keep the humidity up. the humidity controller is nice it only kicks the humidifier on when it hits certain threshold and back off once the desired humidity is reached. used the enclosure for my indo blue tongue skink, they have a pretty high humidity requirement. that bottom corner might have become looser from when you had to pull it back apart.
Thanks for this! I've wanted to redo my reptile rescue's room with one type of enclosure and get rid of the heavy glass ones. I don't like the one Zen Habitat I have and would love to get rid of it. This company was at the top of my list, and I like that they are stackable.
Since it's for a blue tongue skink, you could probably try adding in something to use as a substrate shield, and give the blue tongue space to burrow (since you made a mention of the enclosure being too tall.) EDIT: Added in the content in the parentheses

DragonHaus quality and attention to detail gets a solid F- from me. I will never ever ever order from them again. I drove to their warehouse to pick up a trailer and truck bed full of enclosures. We didn't get everything we ordered, we were charged the wrong amount, the seams were terrible and there were so many intersecting lines. It was just a really bad expererince and really ugly cages. I sold them off at a large loss.

We got that corrected and I believe we gave him his first bath he ever had and he absolutely loved it.
I have this for my bearded dragon. Love dubia they came in clutch when I rescued my daughters bearded dragon from her dad's house. I thought this would take forever to put together because of it's size but it was super quick
I was tempted to buy this enclosure though I'm probably going to build my own. I'm concerned that keeping it warm will be difficult with the thin walls.
I have two of these, one for my beardie and one for the ball python I’m getting at the end of august (: I really like them! I will say, as the instructions recommend, if you’re going to have a more humid or wet substrate, you’ll want to either seal the bottom with silicone or put something else in the bottom to prevent any leaks! All in all though these are my favorite affordable enclosures
@@rachelmccready44 if you don’t want to seal it with 100% silicone, you can get thick black plastic and lay it down. Just make sure it goes up over the sides a bit so it helps prevent any leaking. Then cover it all with substrate (: that’s what I did
I can’t believe this was only a year ago, I would have never guessed this is what the reptile community would look like rn 😢 Glad you’ve been seemingly doing well tho don’t get me wrong! It’s nice that you’re doing your own thing
I really do think you just got unlucky with your Zen Habitats enclosure. I've gotten three 4x2x2's from them and, apart from a few of the corner pieces being hard to get in, they've all been great and easy to put together.
Ngl these look so nice, I'm impressed by the quality for the price. I might have to consider getting a few of these for my living room, they'd be great for displaying colorful snakes/setups.
I like watching you just so you can diss on the haters. But I also like watching you for your knowledge with reptiles. Thanks keep it up and keep telling the haters how it is
I was seriously considering buying this enclosure for my adult ball python and this video finally convinced me. They seriously need to compensate you for the honesty of this vid, it’s a “”cheap”” enclosure but it’s really well made for the price! Plus they’re stackable so man does that make me want to buy more
yeah this seems pretty good to me. oh and a baby corn snake will go right out the gap in between the doors, but yeah. As for the looseness of the joints I get that could be fixed with 2 part apoxy to keep it together, but it would never come apart then
I’m really glad you’re doing these habitat reviews. I was recently enticed by a sale price on a Paw Hut habitat that was mostly pvc and not suitable for most reptiles.
I bought that one. It was the cheapest pvc enclosure and I got it quick. I like it so far. I think I paid 229 for mine and if I'm not mistaken it wasn't a shipping cost. I had an issue with that corner too but it was user error.
I was looking to buy this for the great price and I'm glad you made a review and build on it... I want to put my FWC in there but I'm terribly afraid of him escaping bc he's so skinny and they can flat out and fit anywhere that would be my worst nightmare in my house there's too many places
i bought one of their 4x2x2 when they were on sale and its worked great for me. different branding but definitely same enclosure. even the two tone hammer
Coming from the salt water reef world I have been absolutely APALLED at what companies are charging for enclosures. Finally a quality product at a fair price.
Can I just say. Thank you for recording putting they enclosure together like 90% op people do. Haha. By that I mean not super careful and tiptoeing abound every piece. I love it. And I want this enclosure!
Watching for second time before I put my new arrival together. Not that it’s an instructional video per say but still the fact that you didn’t use instructions is the push I need to overcome my “new assembly” anxiety which is even worse than my “he only has one sock on” anxiety - hence my ability to watch that atrocity again.😏
it's funny you mentioned the corn snake thing because I have been keeping my eye on this enclosure for my adult corn snake but I wasn't sure if it would be secure enough
Luv you 4 the video! I was totally intimidated and my generation are used to the traditional heavy, impossible lifting- back breaking glass! Lol. I hated how loud it was banging it together and my dragon isn’t fond of the reflective sides and back but overall I do like my Dubia enclosure. Also, there was a piece missing and they took care of it and got the replacement part to me super fast.
My sister and mom bought 2 of the zen habitat enclosures and the hole for the door you do have to drill it bigger, I hated putting them together and my mom bought the rock wall for 250 or more and they ended up sending 3 because they kept coming broken in big chunks.

For some reason I didn’t get the notification to papa Alex’s new sustenance for his children
Cute… boy
I bought that one. It was the cheapest pvc enclosure and I got it quick. I like it so far. I think I paid 229 for mine and if I'm not mistaken it wasn't a shipping cost. I had an issue with that corner too but it was user error.
To quote the man himself, Alex's nails are brighter than my entire future.
The one sock at 3am doing shit you don't wanna do is such a vibe 😂
I was looking to buy this for the great price and I'm glad you made a review and build on it... I want to put my FWC in there but I'm terribly afraid of him escaping bc he's so skinny and they can flat out and fit anywhere that would be my worst nightmare in my house there's too many places
The doors are actually acrylic, not PVC. I’m putting one together right now. Looks great so far!
i bought one of their 4x2x2 when they were on sale and its worked great for me. different branding but definitely same enclosure. even the two tone hammer
I almost paid $800 for an enclosure this size. I'm glad I saw this!
Good to see im not the only fella who rocks the one sock inside my home LMAO.
Good vids brother, keep up the great work
Besides my 8 year old son, you're the only other person I've ever known to willingly wear only one sock.
the one sock is killing me 😭😭😭
oh is this the one you transported! good job. that was a tough journey. but you did it gracefully
oh this is definitely not as big im silly
Watching for second time before I put my new arrival together. Not that it’s an instructional video per say but still the fact that you didn’t use instructions is the push I need to overcome my “new assembly” anxiety which is even worse than my “he only has one sock on” anxiety - hence my ability to watch that atrocity again.😏
Way, way better looking than Zen Habitats. I think I found my next enclosure!! Thanx!!
it's funny you mentioned the corn snake thing because I have been keeping my eye on this enclosure for my adult corn snake but I wasn't sure if it would be secure enough
Thanks for the honest review . I might have to go with this one
I like that only the front is transparent. Good for the animals.
Alex
I don’t think I’m that dumb
Wearing one sock

😀😅 I’m joking I love this channel 🤪
Luv you 4 the video! I was totally intimidated and my generation are used to the traditional heavy, impossible lifting- back breaking glass! Lol.
I want to upgrade in a large enclosure for my Indonesian BTS!
Glad the instillation is not brain surgery!
Getting a new chair with it being leather this time killed me in trying to get the back cushion installed- plus having hot flashes- being female sux!
Anywho you rocked!!😂
Thanks!🎉
Thanks for keeping me company while I eat my dinner alone. Gotta love having covid
THE DUDE THAT CALLED YOU HER 😭😭😭 you got sexismed😭
I’m sorry but the single sailor moon sock is sending me into orbit
My Zen Habitat had the same problem. I used it for 2 months and bought a Kages enclosure.
I the smashed the Zen Habitat with a sledgehammer.
I love Dubia there roach subscriptions are the best was raising my own in a 1 bedroom apartment and yea wasn’t the best idea I’ve had with the small space i had so there dubia subscription saved me lol and the pricing and enclosures are amazing and all they do for charity just a great company
I bought that one. It was the cheapest pvc enclosure and I got it quick. I like it so far
I hated how loud it was banging it together and my dragon isn’t fond of the reflective sides and back but overall I do like my Dubia enclosure. Also, there was a piece missing and they took care of it and got the replacement part to me super fast.
Nice video. Love the one Sailor Venus sock ;)
Right as I noticed 4:20 on the tv, your editor zoomed in on it without any commentary and I cracked up 🤣
Can we just admire how Authentic go helping is lol he refused money just to give a fair review for us 🤗
My sister and mom bought 2 of the zen habitat enclosures and the hole for the door you do have to drill it bigger, I hated putting them together and my mom bought the rock wall for 250 or more and they ended up sending 3 because they kept coming broken in big chunks.
I need a GoHerping intro.
Couldn’t be more happy with this enclosure
I have an enclosure very similar to this one, it's a Symton black soldier fly and it's 120 gallons aka 4x2x2 and i house my ball python in it, it's very nice.
I ended up getting the zen Meridian enclosure a bit ago and honestly it isn’t that bad pretty decent and was super super easy to put together
Thanks for the review....what's with the one sock. Although the huge cat lizard was really pretty.
