Watching different videos to understand how to make chili paste, I tried it at a friend's house once and I absolutely love it. Thank you so much for adding to my research!
Hi bekima, that's great 😀 I'm very happy for you - one tip is that different types of chillies give different levels of heat. The type in the video is quite spicy. If a less spicy chilli paste is preferred, you can use less of the thin chillies, and more of guajillo chillis: hcws.link/guajillo. Guajillo chillies are not very spicy and gives a deep red colour to the dish. I've covered on them here: ua-cam.com/video/YUfUEVHZ3Uo/v-deo.html. Hope it helps 😀
Hi @enviroheritage2220, wow that's wonderful! I love a garden with vegetables and herbs 😀😀 This would be perfect to keep the chilli essence for a long time if you freeze them! I'm sure they are delicious 😀
Hi J K, thank you for the question 😄 I've never counted the number of chillis when using chilli paste. I'll test it out and let you know soon 😄 Stay tuned!
Hi Tania Tan, thank you for the comment 😀 I'm not sure, I found that the blender itself may be the cause. From my experience, I also used to blend the chillis, but they were not fine. Then, after I changed blenders, the blended chillies became fine. Hope it helps 😀
Hi cook pa more. The water that we soak the chilli. Once removed chilli from the water, we put some of the ware in the blender to help in blending as the blender can't work well when it is dry. 😀😀 I hope this helps. Thank you for the comment 😀😀
This is such an awesome video!!! 🤩 I've always wanted to know how to make this rather than buying it from the Asian grocery store. 🥰🥰🥰
Hi Tonia Metoyer, thank you for the comment 😄 So happy that you've found this video useful 😄 Please let me know how your chilli paste turns out 😄

I normally add in some fresh red chillies also
@Redniwsaj_. Yes adding some fresh chilli will be fragrant and delicious. My late mother in law used to do that too. Thank you for sharing. 😀😀
