    Something the game doesn't tell you is that when you Master a Technique, you unlock it for all weapons of that type.

    The Buer familiar (that you didn't care for) allows for movement exploits as you can dive kick it and get extra height off of the rebound. You basically have a triple jump when you have Buer and Double Jump, and because it teleports to you when you are far away, you can sometimes get quadruple jumps (or more), making Buer amazing for exploration and sequence breaking.

    Oh yeah, one thing I like to do is to save one uni rice bowl from an early quest and get alkahest from ghosts, which are an early game enemy. Once you have enough, you can break it down and rebuild it again, which unlocks it in the shop. Which is very good because it's a way you can get soy sauce early. The chocolate cake can do the same thing, but you do need a recipe that has at least 1 item that requires a dragon egg, which you can build into one of them to have a source of dragon egg a bit earlier then when you can get it. Oh and the water horses in the underwater area drop a weapon that you can break down for gold, which can be broken down into dark matter, which can be broken down again to rebuild dark matter then gold to unlock them. You can also break down the dark matter for fell leaves.

    Another handy bit of coin advice (no pun intended): There is an 8-bit Coin that you can find extremely early for free. Simply drop down into the sewers from Arvantville (the tunnel underneath the entrance bridge) and break the wall to the left for a free 8-bit Coin before you even set foot in the castle. No need to spend your precious early-game dosh on it.
    For the Redbeast's Edge, the 8-bit version of the weapon grows in range and power relative to the percentage of shards you've collected. The 16- and 32-bit versions lack this trait. However, the 32-bit version is identical to the fully-powered 8-bit version. In other words, you can either give the weapon full power by collecting 100% shards, or by upgrading it to 32-bit. Only the 16-bit version is truly underpowered, since by the time you can afford it, chances are good that it has become obsolete already simply from the number of souls you've collected.

    • @UncomfortableGameShorts
      @UncomfortableGameShorts  Рік тому +3

      Hearted so more people can find this. I rarely used whips. Thanks for the info!

    • @Ryusuta
      @Ryusuta 21 день тому

      Additional advice on this: The main two whips worth using are the Flame Whip (which is an enemy drop in the Livre Ex Machina) and the Ambivalence, which is a Coin weapon. Flame Whip, being a flame weapon, does multiple hits at a solid damage. While the 32-bit Ambivalance has the highest attack power of any whips as well as a special feature that changes its elemental when you use a charge attack with it.
      Whips take some time to get used to since you really only get good DPS from short-hopping the attacks, but once you get used to them, they're incredible.

    I found the Rhava Búral quite early and just laughed out loud when I saw that it's basically Crissaegrim from SotN (well it's Vorpal Blade). I used for a bit then decided against it because it was too OP... and my hand hurt. Great video tho!

      It's more like the Vorpal Blade in SotN (due to it only swinging once per button press). But it can be upgraded to the Rhava Velar, which is this game's version of the Crissaegrim due to higher power and swinging four times for every button press.

    What’s is the green circle? Is that a shield? Does it come from a shard? Is it an armor piece? I can’t find an explanation anywhere but almost every guide video has it on their character.

    • @UncomfortableGameShorts
      @UncomfortableGameShorts  Рік тому +4

      That's a passive shard called Detective's Eye (Makes Secret walls visible to the eye). You get it by killing the Seeker enemies (Google search to find more details on this enemy and shard). Remember that if you max level your passive shards, they stay equipped even if you take them off (they become a permanent passive), that's probably why you see everyone using it. Ive consumed it noticed my HP went to 388-398, ate it for the second time but it only refilled my health like a potion (cause Im not at full health) instead of going to 398-408?? And by the 3rd time i cant use it anymore. Can you please explain??

      You only get the buff the first time you eat it. Every time you eat it after that, it will only heal. I only made meals twice. Once to get the buff and once to sell at the shop so that I could always buy it again (especially useful if I need it for the old lady). However, you can craft food to heal yourself. Pause the game and get back to full health
