Tbh i like the fact that the "God of Love" is not sexualize or not just "a hot woman" its more the Love of a mother to her child, the love for your siblings or friends that just so importent for you that they became your family.
Because sexual affection is often more "Nature" (what is nothing bad) then real love imo
I didn't expect to cry and bawl my eyes out from learning more of the context of the song while eating over my mum's pasta. As one who loves their dear Keeper Miqo'te, I've remembered the Concerts at Fanfest in person with this song and I also cried with how charmingly beautiful it was. I am glad you did a video on this, it certainly made my day better. :3

My character's a devoted follower of Menphina!
Though she's a Dancer and a Lalafell, she's always resonated best with the teachings and messages of Menphina, and took them to heart.
While the Nald'Thal song was great it is a shame that Azeyma wasn't the final boss as we could have had dueling songs from both tribes which could then be remixed together.
This is propaganda to get people to fantasia to Keepers of the Moon...

I always had in mind this backround story that my mooncat WoL started her journey as some sort of a rite of passage for her tribe and this confirms it even more! especially since she is also happly married now :P Thank you so much for this clip, amazing and interesting as always!

As a moonkeeper and a Menphina follower since the alpha test, I felt so much ecstasy and happiness the first time I did the fight, and I fell in love with my goddess Menphina.
It's a damn shame we didn't get a song for like... Roegadyn of Limsa to tie up the trio of these lore filled ballads to the gods. Myths of the Realm (the song) is fine and all but... man I was hoping we'd get one for Llymlaen or something.

I have two keepers and coming up with RP lore is so difficult, so I'm glad to have this interpretation to build from a bit.
For some reason, this song and the meaning behind the lyrics make me think that this is like an Eorzea version of Walpurgis Night of German folklore where women sing and dance around bonfires at night. This is just me though.

This is a good analysis. My personal interpretation has been that the song is a sort of cultural-religious hymn used when celebrating a young woman's coming of age ceremony in Keeper society.

I chose Menphina as my Keeper of the Moon's patron before I knew the lore, so I found it fun that it actually did fit lore-wise in the end!
When I heard this song, I imagined my Catboy's Mom singing it to her litter of kittens (Meh catboy, his 3 olders sisters, and baby sister) as she shows them how to hunt in the night.
I cried as I daydream of her rasing her kittens along with her mate (Who she refuses to let go and he's okay with not leaving lol).

I’ve been trying to do more world building on my miqo’s backstory who is a seeker but his parents are a solo couple and not a tribe,,, his mom could totally be a keeper!!! There’s some other name fuckery happening that’s too much to get into but it would make sense that my guy has a naming convention that’s a mix of the two cultures
Also since I read the lyrics of this song it’s never not made me cry. The animations made it that much more effecting 🥺
AWE YEAAA I’ve been waiting for this video since I saw the video about In the Balance!! Menphina is my character’s guardian in-game and Dedicated to Moonlight is one of my favorite songs from this expansion!! I really love FFXIV take on a Goddess of Love also embracing the familial aspect of love(or Storge) rather than the going all in with the usual Romantic/Passionate Love! It’s a really refreshing take on Love Deities that I just love to see!!💕🌙

Working on it, scripts done just haven’t had time to finish every project.
Once again, we should have had an entire expansion of the god realm, having them live up to the lore and wonder they represented, not a “come kill me” raid.
But it's a JRPG. Kill god is practically a requirement.
While I’d always love more lore and narrative around the 12 I feel like that’s a misrepresentation of what the story was. The story was a handing off of the baton and fitting epilogue to Endwalker and 1.0-6.0 as a whole.

probally xaela dusk mother too duskwight elezen and Viera. possibly even menphinia herself so venat because this song isnt really consistant with keepers they dont seek love they just have one night stands with males then kick them out like house cats.
