As a terran player I find that my highest winrate at my low mmr is in TvT, because ~70 % of terran players I meet on the ladder don't want to play a 30 minute TvT and gg out when the game starts.

So what is Cross-spawn Nexus First and how does it confer such a big advantage as opposed to regular expanding?
Cross spawn means you are diagonally across from the other player. Nexus first means you expand first into your natural instead of doing something else like proxy gateway or rush reavers/DTs, etc. It's an early econ build. Being that far away from the enemy means it's harder to push and keep up pressure meaning you can be a little greedy and build up your econ before you macro up. Basically, protoss ends up with a stronger economy b/c the layout of the map keeps them protected enough that they can invest earlier than would be otherwise possible so they are ahead during the end of the early game/beginning of the midgame, and that advantage usually carries through until the end.

@@LL-kv1jkbecause Terran early game units are weaker until they tech up to siege tanks, making them easier to kill off unless they turtle.

I understand Sc1 to some extend but I don't really know the meta at all. Why exactly is Nexus cross spawn so unbalanced? Like when RT says you can't do anything against it is it you can't do anything when you scout that or you can't do anything even if you pre counter that expansion?
Can’t do anything when scouted. You can go 2x barracks in the middle of the map before scouting, but that is gambling.
@@ArtosisTV That is what I thought. Kinda fucked tbh. Sounds a lot like that time when Protoss had mothership core in Sc2. Should maps maybe be smaller or what would be a good way to fix that? At this point we know that actual balance changes aren't coming.

First issue that jumped out to me is that you would have to get rid of Random as race option since the opponent would know from the map choice what race you rolled. While it is not a common choice to play random, it is a challenge some people seek because it is sneaky and it would feel like you were targeting them with a HUGE nerf.

Guy in chat was basically right: if Protoss is so OP, you can either switch to Protoss or accept that you're playing at a disadvantage by playing Terran. Artosis seems to think that if he gets angry enough the universe will change to accommodate him, but that's just not how life works!

I really want Artosis to retire TTS in his stream, I really like Artosis just playing the game and commentating, reading chat. TTS really makes the stream unwatchable because 30 minutes in you're just seeing the same jokes over and over again, it's like Artosis is baby sitting a bunch of 10 year olds but no 10 years olds are watching Brood War of all games so its gotta be mid 20s and 30s who have a terrible sense of humour.

Of course the game is frustrating to play. Its 25 years old and the pathing was bad even for the time. Game is so janky i dont understand how people play this game in multiplayer i would develop an ulcer.
93.5% of terran units have abilities that need to be utilized, which means you can't have them all in the same control group. This makes microing them properly much more APM intensive. Small mistakes made by terran are more consequential then the other races. As Artosis implied go and play someone at the same skill level as you as Terran. One small micro mistake as Terran can lose you the game. It sounds bias but the other two races have more leeway for error. Everything adds up, Protoss can Make 2-3 mistakes but get punished equivalent to Terran's 1-2 mistakes.

I strongly disagree: Zerg is much more fragile and always on a timer “before science vessels”. If you get on similar footing (which is quite easy to do) with Zerg till your vessels it’s uphill battle for Z and each minute makes it harder and harder the more vessels out there.
