In 2020 lockdown , aval's varieties were our evening snacks. Jaggery powder can be added with aval instead of sugar . Everything two types of cooking @ boiled and non - boiled. He said super ah iruku and there i got hearts in my eyes and butterflies in my stomach. We distributed this sweet to our grander mother's house and uncle's house. We got the bestest comments. I slowly started to explore my cooking. Congrats to me♥️
We used to fry the coconut with ghee for 3 minutes and add half cup of milk or make milk with milk powder and then add sugar 1 cup grated coconut 3/4th cup sugar. That is it . At the end add elachi powder and little ghee before pouring in a ghee spreaded plate. More tasty due to frying and adding milk. Thus is my grandma's recipe.
