We’re all waiting for the next shoe to drop with food shortages being an inescapable result of the chaos and mayhem we’re living through, so now is the time to stock up on some preparedness foods from My Patriot Supply, we have some amazing deals here preparewithiridium.com
I know many low income or over 55 y/os that are on SNAP (ebt) . They all come to me asking why no Emerg Food Cos don't accept EBT. Before my debilitating injury (on the job) I was a NYC Paramedic so people on my block ask me EVERYTHING (n I mean everything, ugh). You seem to have good relationships w these food Cos. Please let them know there is a huge market for the often forgotten people. Thanks for all you do for Our Community. Have a fantastic 2023.
@@WarGrrl3 Just an FYI, I've used ebt to buy Mountain House meals and #10 cans of Auguson Farms foods on Amazon. The trick is to search for food items both sold by and shipped by Amazon.
Thanks, I will talk to freeze dry wholesaler about it, Shooting a video this week for them and doing some cooking so i always shoot them an email to let them know i have a new video up and i will mention it to them., Where did you work in NYC, I live in midtown for a while (51st street between 8th and 9th ave) and then down by Chinatown for my last few years in the city before I moved.
@@Iridium242 yes. I lived downtown on Bleecker St (West Side) but grew up in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. Thank you so much. There are so many people that this type of food helps especially because of ease of cooking. You truly are a good man and you share you kindness n decency. That is priceless.
I got two kits, came with spork, hook for hanging canteen over fire, lid, Farro rod w/ striker, fire lighter tabs. Rom to add other items like sayer mini, coffee, Swiss Miss. Great kit.
I found this same set up for $2 at a thrift shop in town. The canteen is plastic. And I don't have the fabric holder/carrier. But the canteen cup and stop look the same. The stove is actually the exact same. The cup isn't the same. But for $2! What the heck. It's a great pepper find. Thank you for the video.
I went back to that same thrift shop months after finding that canteen with the canteen cup and stove I found that fabric holder with the clips to attach it to a pack. The fabric holder was $1.50! I think this might live with the survival bag in the truck!
The one con of that canteen bottle trying it because if you tip it upside down there's a little room inside catch it the water so you can't get completely dry
These things are great, there was a store near me that had them on sale from 68.00 Canadian down to 34.00 Canadian. I have 4 now 😆. I have 2 in u.s. Molle canteen holders.
The only con of this set. Is the carrier. The carriers with the base set is really cheap. Good news is you can get a US Army carrier and replace it and it's so much better. Also I did some mods on the stove. It took a lot longer to boil with that stove because of that Grill top. So I cut the grill top out. Added basically a large staple that my canteen cup sets on, so now my canteen cup gets direct Flame and a much quicker boil time. Did some videos about it on my channel. But you are right David Canterbury stuff is good quality. Good review brother.
I ordered the 1100ml Titanium Canteen Cooking Set, got a few dollars knocked off over the holidays, coming in tomorrow. Can't wait to try it out, first titanium I've purchased!
1 perhaps major flaw of this canteen... The lip is turned/folded toward the inside. This can make it difficult to keep clean. The tube/Nalgene style bottle canteen from same company, the lip is turned/folded toward the OUTSIDE making it MUCH easier to keep clean.
Great review. Have been interested. Like it with the alcohol stove. I'm a stainless guy and the price point is reasonable. I'm assuming room in the pouch for the lid. Is that correct? Thanks.
Thanks for the video. I got my set last Sunday. What kind of alocohol container did you put under the stove? And how long did it take to boil the water? Also did it use most of the fuel. New to this. I Enjoy watching your videos.
Took about 7 mins to boil the cup and a half of water, the stove I made myself see the video here ua-cam.com/video/yL9hYV6kbnA/v-deo.html and it did use up the little bit of fuel that i put in the stove as well, thanks! any more questions feel free to ask
I own boat sets and I combine them in my backpack I have the bottle and the canteen cup and stove they don't nest together but for me I don't care I love the bottle but don't like the canteen because it's not that easy to dry after you clean it
I have used this kit since 2015 or 16 and still use it today. However the cons are the weight, price no longer worth the price it is going for with the new gear coming out, cup handle gets hot quickly, and Molle straps on the cheaply made holder. The straps do not keep it tight on a belt, pack or bag and the weight of the water pulls outward and down cause weight distribution issues. I still like the set up but recommended advent hikers and longer then a weekend camper look elsewhere.
Have you reviewed the Pathfinder 64oz bottle? Does the lid feel strong, or is it like thick, cheap, hard plastic? I'm interested in this product, but I want to know how strong the lid is.
Yeah but wanted to show the stove "working" lol and it was pouring outside when I did the video also the trangia alcohol stoves were too big so the cat can got the call that day lol

Pathfinder is definitely quality stuff. I have many items from them. They also have a great alcohol stove. I love mine. Thanks for the review.
Try going to a 3d print shop and see if they can make a lid for this container
Thank you for the video.
Its a Great set but I just can't decide whether I want the bottle form, set or the canteen shape set. As usual great vid. Thank you
The bottle set is better easier to clean
I bought the canteen and I wish I would have gotten the bottle. Just my two cents
@@tankcraft3994 thank you thats good to know. Blessings

Dave answered a similar question on facebook. The lid is loose fitting as tight lids can cause injuries when cooking
You already know this, but using the canteen cup stove with the Fancy Feast stove is pretty redundant.

@@Iridium242 yea the trangia are actually dangerous to use with the Pathfinder stove.
👍
As soon as income tax returns arrive this year, I'm splurg and buy a set.👍
