    Any thoughts on getting a cine lens on there with focus motors & lidar? I have always filmed my weddings on AF lenses. I want to start getting into cinema glass. So seeing this setup, got me thinking... Lol. Love how small it is. 👍🏼

      I own the combo RS3 Pro version that comes with the focus motor, and I have some primes lenses, but I don’t own their lidar piece as it’s not something that I typically would need for the commercial projects we do, however, it definitely is a cool piece of gear and for someone like you, might be very useful for your shoots.       @@AlliandWill Same, I got the combo too. I have the LIDAR in the shopping cart right now, just gotta pull the trigger. But my follow-up questions are: Does the SmallRIg VMount work for as well and do you think the motors will hold a Sigma 18-35mm Cine? It's 1.4 lbs heavier than the photo version. I think so... 🤔

      @@1031ProductionsLLC The motors should work, they're pretty strong, but I haven't tested it myself with that lens, so can't guarantee it, unfortunately. As for your first question, I'm not sure what you mean? Will the Smallrig Vmount work? Are you referring to the battery belt system and batteries in my build? Or are you referring to the Small Rig new Vmount batteries? I don't own the SmallRig batteries, so I can't answer that question. As for the battery belt system, it provides everything via dtap, and the gimbal itself direct from the dtap to 2pin, so that should provide enough power for the accessories, but I'm not exactly sure the setup you're referring to, sorry. Hope that helps.

      @@AlliandWill Yes, just curious about the power draw from all devices (monitor, focus, lidar, etc.). I'd be doing this for all-day events. Mostly weddings. I already know the SmallRig VB155 can power my R5C and Ninja V on a tripod for a 6-hour event. Still had 40% of the battery left 😎

      @@1031ProductionsLLC Ya, I'm not sure what the lidar/motor would pull in terms of power. The smallrig batteries seem great though. That being said, I've had no issues with the IndiPro one's I use powering the gimbal and monitor all day. I own 2 of them and have yet needed to switch to the second one, which tells me they likely would provide more than enough power for additional accessories, so yours likely would be similar.

    This video helped me out a ton ngl. It is exactly the solution I was looking for. However, I do have a couple of questions -
    1. Will this solution work with the new RS4 Pro Gimbal from DJI?
    2. Is there a version of this build where you've added an external handle which allows the user to use the follow-focus motor and record button? Otherwise, I am assuming you'd have to remove your hand from the respective grip > press the record button on the gimbal or the camera > and then grab the handle once again. I am sure there is a solution to this, but I can't seem to figure it out.
    P.S - I am using the follow-focus motor from my gimbal to physically zoom the lens.

      Glad it was helpful! For me, it's all about weight, so I have chosen to take my hand off and press record. To be the gimbal being less heavy is far more important for my back long term lol. That being said, there is a handle you can buy instead of the ones I've linked that use the battery grip as one of the handles and it'll give you more control.
      Regarding if it works with RS4. I'm not sure! If it has the same battery grip, then it should work. I see no point in upgrading though because the RS4 Pro is almost identical. It has a bit better motors, and an easy way to switch to vertical. For me, both of those aren't important. I think it would be far better to save money and get an RS3 Pro.

      @@AlliandWill also, I just checked the reviews for the baseplate (the link provided in the description) and both the reviews aren’t positive. Both say that the baseplate is very loose and etc.
      Is this something we should be worried about?

      Not at all! Just use a small piece of tape to make it tighter if you get one that’s not perfect. I think people aren’t resourceful enough sometimes lol 😅

    is that safe for the gimbal ? especially for the supply power ? is that give a constant power like a battery grip ??

      I've been using this setup for over a year. It works great.
