The whole point of my technique is to step backwards while faking the double jab. at the same time gather momentum from the waist for a devastating left hook to the head 🥊🤝
A good hard hook to the body is my favorite!
I call it the Louis phantom jab🥊
I do an combo when my sparing partner throws his uppercut I do an hook to the lever and another hook to the face then he is out he likes blocking and he is fat so that how I win
Left hook
"To land a punch you need to make him think you're not going to throw a punch"
That's some art of war quote man, great wisdom
Even before the UA-cam two 5sec ads start playing and the skip button appears, I’ve already 👍🏽 Tony’s videos.

the fact that you are the only channel I've ever seen with his own chapter tracking on the screen is so fucking based
this is very important for me.. i'm start boxing on 13 and i'm 14 now.. thank you for this video, sir.
Keep it up and learn the basics
Reason why this guy has so many subs is because he constantly puts quality over quantity.
I would like to see him reviewing big fights more and doing post commentary.
LOVE when you post these type of videos Tony! They are a go to for improving technique and correcting mistakes. It's great how you split these up into marked segments so athletes can go right to the section they want to work on. Thanks for the great content and all the effort you put into this!
this guy just gets down to the business, no nonsense no bs
As a beginner, this video helped me so much. Thanks Tony, you are the best boxing content creator.
About your "The Perfect Cross". I would recommend that instead of twisting your right foot, move your left a little to the left. That leaves a straight line of power from the floor to the glove when you hit. So, if you do a strait left, and then a right cross, you move your left foot twice in a row. First a small step forward as normal, then a small step to the left for the right cross. This was taught to me by my father who was a professional boxer named Laurits Jensen.
Perfect explanation of boxing techniques. Great video!!! Thank you Tony🥊🥊
Wow great video, i learned a lot. I trained kickboxing 4 years when i was 15 years old and now i am 28, i forgot a lot technique, this wanted me to start train again and practise in my free time.
Thank you Tony. I'm an old boy and have a heavy bag and watching your videos has got me back hitting it with some purpose to improve my technique and getting fitter.
Keep it up with the great content Tony 💪
Thanks for the great training! Great job explaining everything.
Great instructional video! The punch that was most difficult for me to master was the straight cross because it took me a long time to realize how much the shoulder is involved.
Thanks for this video. Im a Huge Fan. Love your content.💪🥊
Thx so much Tony! You are so inspiring to me ❤🥊
Fantastisk video. Coach thank you Tony 👊
Thank you. Favorite is #2. Recovering from heavy injury. Left very weak but i will be working it training with you

Great video man, keep it up!
Thank you as always Tony. As a parent who has limited knowledge of boxing, your video's not only helped me immensely to better my boxing skills but support my children in becoming better boxers. Love and respect 🙌

Great tips on the pivot hook...it's taken me some time to get it right
Your "Pivot Hook" tutorial is amazing, thanks Master Jeffries ;)
Tony,
It's Your best ever. Thank You.
Can’t believe this info is for free… no joke.
Wish we had this back when I was fighting🙏🏽💯
This was great learning a lot thanks!
Hey Tony the Champion.
That quiz when you showed us the right cross to the body - and asked what 5 things boxer need to consider ---
Is very valuable because of the small game hint, it's always easier to learn smth by games.
As like the wolf cubs, for example, in the childhood they play with each other, bite a bit and chase, and that is the preparation for their mature life - all those small game aplies in the bulig hunt in their life later on
.
So yeah, just telling what i've seen.
And i got 4/5 of that quiz answered
Great content 👏👏
Thank you so much.
You are the man!!
Great videos my man! BIG ALOHA!
thanks man i have idea to practice now
I love you Tony. God bless you.
Tony is the man! His videos are so helpful! I do boxing training for fitness, I'm too old to compete, but proper form and technique make my workouts even better.
Why not compete? I know they have an old man division (Masters). I'm 47, just started about 10 months ago, and I might go for some amateur fights. Let's do it, brother!
@@Warrior_poet75 well, I'm 41 now, not old but not at my primos like years ago. I used to compete in karate, I studied for a long time. I moved over to boxing because it is such a great workout and it can give you great self defense skills.
@@chrispolakowski2180 That's kind of why I got into boxing as well, but then started thinking I wanted to push myself even further. I'm a Vet and former firefighter, but have been working in the school system the last 6 years. Felt like I'd lost my edge. Time to enter the proving grounds once again!
@@Warrior_poet75 it sounds like you still got plenty of fire in you. I hope you kill it in the ring. Always keep training bro!
@@chrispolakowski2180 You too, brother! It keeps us young!
Thanks dude
I like this channel a lot i box and these kind of videos help me a lot to learn and be better with the moves
Always amazing sir ❤❤❤
Yr a great teacher man
This video is soooo good!
Thank you tony
Nice work 🥊 very nice 👍
That Canelo overhand right on Amir Khan was a freight train that will never be forgotten. Holy Bejesus!
You are amazing....❤
Hey Tony! I struggle with hunching over and I keep feeling the strain in my lower back when training. I'd love to see something on how to straighten up and correct my fighting posture. Really appreciate all your videos, brother.
I have the same problem. What helps me is to really focus on keeping your back straight and your shoulders back. Not just in the gym but all day. Like he says think about speed. Think about "back straight"
Thanks for the info
Happy to help mate
Amazing
Very good. Easy to skip to see wanted punch. Must try 1 punch / day. Then later 2 punch combo and later 3...💪😋
Just started boxing a couple of weeks ago and your videos have been very helpful for my technique and overall knowledge. Also, are we just going to ignore the parachute that you were wearing in the job to the body section?
How the bloody hell did i missed this
I really needed this
U are amazing for this
love the lessons! serious question. where can i buy myself one of those onesies?
great stuff
Amazing video
This is awesome I'm 15 and want to be a boxer you rock man👍👌

Perfection
Great video & really helpful advice that I’m going to take into the gym to improve my technique. But that onesie you’re wearing 😂
Magnifical Teacher is @Tony Jeffries ▼ The best yet▼
@3:23 I thought for sure I'd been fooled this whole time thinking Tony was orthodox with that GNIXOB shirt. "Did he do his videos in mirror for rightys?" 🤔😄 Good stuff.
Hi. I've been following your tutorials for a while now. I have a question I use the bag for fitness without sparring is they a way to gauge if the power in your punches is increasing.
Any advice on your hand speed being faster than your foot speed? Its hard for me to do a 1 2 combo as fast as I can because I have to wait til my feet are back in position. Standing there and just throwing hands I can do it but i want proper form.
great!!
Legend
Sir really good video.👍
Thank you mate🥊
Hey tony, I have been really wanting to get into boxing, but I want to know your thoughts on at home boxing, i've been trying this VR game called thrill of the fight and I would like to know your thoughts on it, maybe even a review of the game itself. A lot of people say it's the best boxing sim out there.
Sir please make video about boxer bounce (footwork)
@tonyjeffries when you show the jab it looks like you hit with the outside knuckles which is OK with gloves but you break your hand without sir? 😢
havent watched the video yet, but i still know its gonna be great
Thanks mate, you can watch it now mate
Wow I'm early catching your video Tony! 1
Great to hear mate, do you like it?
Great clinic as always...but what's up with that giant, baggy as hell, onesie?
Thank mate, haha I feel good when I wear it mate
@@Tony_Jeffries Seems really confortable, what is it called though, never seen it before
Thanks tony
Appreciate mate, happy to help 👊🏻
I don't know whether or not you'll read this Mr. Jeffries, but I've got a pair of 14 oz training gloves by Everlast that say they can be used for sparring, but I've read that you should have another pair of gloves for sparring than training gloves. Will these do or should I get another pair?
Please explain the shoulder snap. At 24:20 you state that the arm and body movement rotates at the same time for the lead hook but how do you achieve the snap in the punch by doing this? There should be a slight separation between the rotation of the hips and the arm (ie delay of the arm and shoulder following the hip rotation). If at the same time then the punch power is all generated from the body which isn't a bad thing either but the punch will have less snap to it. You also delay the arm rotation when you perform it on the bag but when you explain it to us you are telling us to move at the same time. If at the same time then we need to contract at the shoulder when the punch is initiated.
13:13 i love it
Nice video sir
Appreciate it mate
your vidio form dhar man as a kid to teen was awesom expecially the pie throw at that bully (talor)
you should try kyokushin
Thanks.
Welcome Robin 👊🏻
You are already coach
nice
I gotta remember these moves. My Tinder dates will never be the same!
Thanks, Tony 😵💫
😂
Tony, do you have any advice for avoiding overextension of the elbow during jabs or crosses? Sometimes when I go full-power, especially with a cross, I end up yanking the elbow and then my arm is useless for a day.
Sounds like you're throwing out of range. Use the jab to get into the correct range for the power shot.
Hey Tony! Do you know if you’ll ever be a part of the UA-cam Boxing scene? I’d love to watch you fight again. I know you’re retired, but it would just be so great to see you in the ring one more time. ❤️🔥🙏🏼
