Everyone knows me for loving the Doors in HS. years after he died. he died when I was around 8? But when they came out with that book. No one comes out alive. He was bigger in the early 80s then when he was alive. Funny the first time I found out about him.. was going to a friends house was going threw his albums.. YES albums.. showing my age.. I looked at one with his face on it.. I said who is this?? So georguos He said jim morrision from the doors.. Was a great band back in the day

There's a new band called Starcrawler,fronted by a tremendously talented young lady named Arrow D'Wilde. She reminds me a lot of Jim Morrison. She isn't derivative of him or not ripping him off or anything like that. But to me at least...seems like she delivers a performance from the same spot Jim operated from. You would be doing yourself a service by going down the rabbit hole they are carving out for themselves. This girl was born a huge star. The world just doesn't know it yet. She totally gets it. It's genuine and not forced or fake. It's just who she happens to naturally be. I am self aware enough to know that I am kind of a music snob,and have been pretty pessimistic about all the bands half assing it for the last two decades, putting out records with a two week shelf life at best. But about 30 seconds in to watching the first performance I saw from Starcrawler...I knew instantly that I love their band. I think you will all feel the same way, otherwise I wouldn't bother saying anything at all. A good place to start if you are interested, would be maybe:Stranded, Chicken Woman,or Bet my brains. I think you will see how I make the connection between them and the Doors in the way they deliver a performance, rather than simply playing songs
