You're so so sweet. You DID pick Butter which is one of 3 of their only English songs, and Boy With Luv which are probably the MOST sugar pop songs they have. Their 300+ song discography is insanely varied. From dark concepts to dance to upbeat pop and EDM. They have a serious underground rap line with 3 rappers. You'd be so surprised by their flexibility. But if you like this type of pop that's also okay! And they have some very upbeat songs you might like! Love the reaction! BTS is a 7 member group from south Korea with 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. They debuted on 2013 and started out as a hip hop group. They have music of all kinds of different genres and fusion styles. They do pop, rap, hip hop, r&b, ballads etc. They are also extremely humble and down to earth people despite their massive fame. They also have a lot of artistic input in their music and have all contributed as songwriters and/or producers in the majority of their songs. As everyone else said, don't get lulled into the sugary pop side of BTS. They don't have that much of it and most of their songs are very deep. Halsey asked Suga (one of the rappers of BTS) to feature in a song on one of her albums, and that one gives me shivers every time I listen to it. Their individual styles are very distinctive and they have tons of group and solo projects. Thanks for reacting to BTS ! I think they will surprise you on many levels as this is about 15% of what they do. 😊 BTS has, no lie, the wildest range of music any artist have and hundreds of songs. That means, no matter what your genre is, you'll find songs you like and some you'll enjoy less. Anyways, as much as medias like to put groups in a box, BTS is no typical "boyband" and even in the Kpop industry, they're totally different. They're pionniers in some way and to these days, I haven't seen any artist that big being so normal out of stage. But most of all, they've been working very hard for a decade, literally starting from scratch in a company that was on the verge on bankruptcy only to have made this company one of the biggest economic sources in South Korea nowadays. There are 3 rappers and 4 singers. And on top of being amazing rappers, singers and dancers ; BTS members write, produce, take part in the artistic concepts, music videos, dance choreographies, ideas... Everything basically, in collaboration with their company staff and artists. They're really on a line of their own and I think you'll see that for yourself when you react to more. That being said, you're really perceptive on many levels, can't wait to see more of your reactions :) Also, I think you should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS. They'll put you on many informations about the group, the members, how they work and everything basically. Because above learning about their group history, these guides make you understand their music a lot more in some way. That was my case when I first became a fan (and I'm sure I'm not the only one). I guess learning about the background of each member, their background as a group and the way they work for their craft, makes you understand the music (and the artistry) in a much more complete way. As 54 yr old Army I'd given up on modern music as I can't stand all the immorality and bad language so was really surprised to find BTS during lockdown. Never regretted it, their music is so great, and with lyrics that have literarily saved lives of thousands. Besides their music, they have enormous content as they had to rely on themselves to introduce their music/themselves out into the world. The K-Pop industry is very competitive and at the time the Big 3 Company's in K-Pop saw them as a threat and tried to basically shut them down in various ways, but that just lit a fire under BTS and they worked damned HARD and never gave up and here we are. Biggest in the world and for good reason. Theirs is a story of the underdog making it big. Story of real triumph over adversity. They are such genuine, humble, honest guys that truly love their fandom, and real crackpots in real life. So very endearing, no surprise that the fandom A.R.M.Y. is now 90 mil if I remember correctly. They are rewriting the history books, being compared to the Beetles and the natural successors to MJ. His children concur. The language barrier becomes non existent, good music is good music and they are GREAT and will be remembered as such for all time. GOAT indeed. Keep going, and you'll be in for the ride of your life and emerge a better person as most of us can attest to! It might be a good idea to ask Army for links for the best performances..... some are not as good as others. They also have various versions of their MV's, from the official MV to remixes (B-sides done for Army) and live performances. Dance videos for their choreography can be found at Bangtantv (their own channel) and behind the scenes videos. Just depends how far you want to go, there is a lot. The MV's have a storyline attached but that is better saved for a time when you know the members more. To avoid any copyright strikes just show the Big Hit/Hybe logo at the beginning of all their MV's. NOTE: THE WORD NEGAE MEANS YOU/ME/I - not the word you think! Some misunderstand so best to get this out the way! Also Koreans or Asians in general are not afraid to show their emotions, so crying/hugging/being close is a cultural thing, which to Western eyes can seem a bit touchy feely or give wrong connotations. Names: In South Korea and some Asian cultures the surname comes first, then the first name. Age: They class an unborn child as 1 yr. old at birth, then at New Year’s add on another year. So for example Kim Taehyung (or V) was born Dec 30th 1995, so on 1st January 1996 he was 2 yrs. Old although in reality only a couple of days old! However there seems to be a move to change things to the same as International age. However, when watching their story bear in mind when they mention an age it’s usually 2 yrs. older than we would class it. So actually, 2 yrs. younger from our perspective. The "Ioniq: I'm On It" is a promotional song for Hyundai. But you barely notice the car because the mv & song are so good; similar style as "Film Out" "Come Back Home" was released on July 4, 2017 as remake of Seo Taiji’s song "Come Back Home" for Seo Taiji 25th Anniversary Remake Project. “With Seoul” is a BTS song and film highlighting Seoul as a vacation spot. The original also shows them recording it. They have also done 3 other versions, including a “short” on 2020-09-11; a beautiful drone visual of Seoul (The Four Seasons of Seoul” on 2019-12-30, & an amazing drone visual mv on 2021-01-09. My personal favorite "other version" video is "DANGER (Mo-Blue-Mix) , featuring THANH". Thanh is an Australian-Vietnamese singer. This song has a R&B vibe with some great lyrics added by Thanh. In *"Butter"* when you threw your hands up seeing Jimin in the MV do it, they were actually spelling out *ARMY* with their bodies, which is what *BTS* fandom is called. Don't let these 2 MVs fool you, they are more than POP music, you will see that once you explore more of their group music and especially individual solos. Since you're new to BTS, if you haven't heard the news: they're taking a break for the next 18 months to 2 years because of their mandatory military enlistments. One by one each one of them will be going into the military. They will reunite in December 2025 or early 2026. Praying they stay healthy and safe during their military enlistments. Jin is currently the first one that has enlisted in the military in December 2022. In the meantime, each one of them is starting to release a solo album. The guy in the purple hair is Jungkook, the main vocalist. His vocals are amazing. I highly recommend that you watch the song "Dreamers" from the 2022 FIFA World Cup that Jungkook sung with Fahad.
BTS are the only artist im listening on Spotify, i literally made an acc there for streaming their music. The guys have a really diverse discography which i extremely recommend to listen to. P.S i saw RE in ur playlists, i like these series so much! I also liked Medium, Dead Space, God of War ( Ragnarok too ), Metro series, Calisto protocol, Dishonored ( all parts, i really love this kind of games )

I'm so glad that you found BTS. They are amazing artists. But they are much more than just singers. They all write, compose, and produce their own music. I could count on one hand all the songs they have sung from other writers. 4 of out 7 are trained dancers. And 2 of them have been trained since childhood in hip-hop and contemporary dance. Their live stages and award show stages are on another level. There is so much more to them. They have been out for 10 years now, and they have grown as much as their music. Please donr hesitate to ask for a list of songs and MV's you could check out. But thank you again, good luck and hope to see more reactions from BTS again.

From the debut you can tell those kids have IT. And the fact they broke barriers in the West and catapulted Kpop to a whole other level just proved it. Yea, BTS! The chameleons of Korean music, fearlessly going after whatever vibe they want to explore and authentically incorporate. You'll find that lots of kpop will do things for aesthetic without realizing the source material they are drawing from (usually Black culture). But the founding members of BTS have been fans of American rap and hiphop from when they were kids, giving shoutouts and making collabs over the years. After some teenage blunders, the group as a whole went to America when they were just starting out, to get real exposure to the hiphop/rap scene and talk to people who came up in it. They wanted to approach it honestly if they were going to be inspired by it. They are the goalz that everyone is chasing. :) Which is endlessly hilarious to fans who saw how they were shut out of the industry from the beginning. So they carved their own way and everyone is falling over themselves to come down the same road now, lol

#BTS is a 7-member group that debuted back in June 2013, all of the members are in their 20s except of the oldest JIN who turned 30 years old and is now assistant instructor doing his mandatory military service. No matter what you love for music you'll find something in their discography for you! All seven are *also* accomplished soloists and they have so many styles of music. 😁 You have ten years of music to check out. One of the things that was weird for me at first is that they're all center sometimes. This isn't one person with a supporting group, it's 7 performers. On most songs they hand the song around between rappers and singers and all 7 contribute 😁 What gets those of us who really love them - the reason I'm army - isn't just the music. They're sincere, genuine. A lot of their music is deeply meaningful (you picked a couple of the ones that aren't so much), and they're always trying to make the world a better place. They're just really good people who work hard to make beautiful music. I didn't mean to go on so long. When it comes to BTS they can't be confined to one genre they use many different genres and also mix genres they have so many songs everyone is bound to find at least song they connect with. They comprise of 3 Rappers and 4 vocalists but all the rappers also sing. They are all song writers, producers, and most are also composers, in fact Suga (Rapper) has even won an award for producing for another artist.

Lol... Reactors almost always start with Boy with Luv or Dynamite or Butter. Great songs, but it's so fun to watch them explore further and the "oh that's cute!" comments become "Oh wow! NOW I understand." Please do check out more of their music. This is just the tip of a very deep iceberg. I've seen others recommending group songs, so I'm going to recommend a few of my favorite solo songs by group members. Please check out Wildflower by RM, More by J-Hope, Daechwita by Agust D (goes by Suga in BTS), The Astronaut by Jin, Dreamers by Jungkook, Singularity by V, and Filter by Jimin. Later you'll want to watch information videos on them because when you learn their story and what they went through to get where they are and how they are STILL the most adorable, goofy, kind, loving, sweet, and humble guys in the industry, that's when you really fall for them. At some point you'll want to learn their names and then it's all over. Have fun exploring!
The nice thing about BTS is that they can perform a variety of genres. They're not boxed into one specific music style and yes they rap and sound like hiphop pop in general, but they work their butts off and are very talented. If you want to spend the night laughing your ass off, watch some of their other non-music videos. Yes, they're ADORABALICIOUS, too!
RM, Suga, and J-hope are the rap line and they have some songs that's just them "ddaeng" being one of them...but there was a concert a while back that had jimin, jin, v, and jungkook *vocal line* rap their parts. it was awesome.

You're so so sweet. You DID pick Butter which is one of 3 of their only English songs, and Boy With Luv which are probably the MOST sugar pop songs they have. Their 300+ song discography is insanely varied. From dark concepts to dance to upbeat pop and EDM. They have a serious underground rap line with 3 rappers. You'd be so surprised by their flexibility. But if you like this type of pop that's also okay! And they have some very upbeat songs you might like! But for variety I'd suggest:

Love the reaction! BTS is a 7 member group from south Korea with 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. They debuted on 2013 and started out as a hip hop group. They have music of all kinds of different genres and fusion styles. They do pop, rap, hip hop, r&b, ballads etc. They are also extremely humble and down to earth people despite their massive fame. Thanks for reacting to BTS ! I think they will surprise you on many levels as this is about 15% of what they do. 😊 BTS has, no lie, the wildest range of music any artist have and hundreds of songs. That means, no matter what your genre is, you'll find songs you like and some you'll enjoy less. Anyways, as much as medias like to put groups in a box, BTS is no typical "boyband" and even in the Kpop industry, they're totally different. They're pionniers in some way and to these days, I haven't seen any artist that big being so normal out of stage. But most of all, they've been working very hard for a decade, literally starting from scratch in a company that was on the verge on bankruptcy only to have made this company one of the biggest economic sources in South Korea nowadays. There are 3 rappers and 4 singers. And on top of being amazing rappers, singers and dancers ; BTS members write, produce, take part in the artistic concepts, music videos, dance choreographies, ideas... Everything basically, in collaboration with their company staff and artists. They're really on a line of their own and I think you'll see that for yourself when you react to more. That being said, you're really perceptive on many levels, can't wait to see more of your reactions :)
Also, I think you should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS. They'll put you on many informations about the group, the members, how they work and everything basically. Because above learning about their group history, these guides make you understand their music a lot more in some way. That was my case when I first became a fan (and I'm sure I'm not the only one). I guess learning about the background of each member, their background as a group and the way they work for their craft, makes you understand the music (and the artistry) in a much more complete way. Thanks for trying out BTS, really enjoyed your reaction. Delving into them is a really enjoyable journey of discovery. As 54 yr old Army I'd given up on modern music as I can't stand all the immorality and bad language so was really surprised to find BTS during lockdown. Never regretted it, their music is so great, and with lyrics that have literarily saved lives of thousands. Besides their music, they have enormous content as they had to rely on themselves to introduce their music/themselves out into the world. The K-Pop industry is very competitive and at the time the Big 3 Company's in K-Pop saw them as a threat and tried to basically shut them down in various ways, but that just lit a fire under BTS and they worked damned HARD and never gave up and here we are. Biggest in the world and for good reason. Theirs is a story of the underdog making it big. Story of real triumph over adversity. They are such genuine, humble, honest guys that truly love their fandom, and real crackpots in real life. So very endearing, no surprise that the fandom A.R.M.Y. is now 90 mil if I remember correctly. They are rewriting the history books, being compared to the Beetles and the natural successors to MJ. His children concur. The language barrier becomes non existent, good music is good music and they are GREAT and will be remembered as such for all time. GOAT indeed. Keep going, and you'll be in for the ride of your life and emerge a better person as most of us can attest to!

Also for an explanation of their MV's DKDKTV & Bookish Theory are good sources. We lose a lot in not being able to understand Korean culture, and these do a great job of explaining the real message behind the lyrics which are always deep. So worth doing an explanation video to their songs automatically alongside the MV. Always watch the MV's to the end! It might be a good idea to ask Army for links for the best performances..... some are not as good as others.
They also have various versions of their MV's, from the official MV to remixes (B-sides done for Army) and live performances. Dance videos for their choreography can be found at Bangtantv (their own channel) and behind the scenes videos. Just depends how far you want to go, there is a lot. The MV's have a storyline attached but that is better saved for a time when you know the members more.
To avoid any copyright strikes just show the Big Hit/Hybe logo at the beginning of all their MV's.
NOTE: THE WORD NEGAE MEANS YOU/ME/I - not the word you think! Some misunderstand so best to get this out the way!
Also Koreans or Asians in general are not afraid to show their emotions, so crying/hugging/being close is a cultural thing, which to Western eyes can seem a bit touchy feely or give wrong connotations.
Names: In South Korea and some Asian cultures the surname comes first, then the first name.
Age: They class an unborn child as 1 yr. old at birth, then at New Year’s add on another year. So for example Kim Taehyung (or V) was born Dec 30th 1995, so on 1st January 1996 he was 2 yrs. Old although in reality only a couple of days old! However there seems to be a move to change things to the same as International age. However, when watching their story bear in mind when they mention an age it’s usually 2 yrs. older than we would class it. So actually, 2 yrs. younger from our perspective.

The "Ioniq: I'm On It" is a promotional song for Hyundai. But you barely notice the car because the mv & song are so good; similar style as "Film Out"
"Come Back Home" was released on July 4, 2017 as remake of Seo Taiji’s song "Come Back Home" for Seo Taiji 25th Anniversary Remake Project.
“With Seoul” is a BTS song and film highlighting Seoul as a vacation spot. The original also shows them recording it. They have also done 3 other versions, including a “short” on 2020-09-11; a beautiful drone visual of Seoul (The Four Seasons of Seoul” on 2019-12-30, & an amazing drone visual mv on 2021-01-09.
My personal favorite "other version" video is "DANGER (Mo-Blue-Mix) , featuring THANH". Thanh is an Australian-Vietnamese singer. This song has a R&B vibe with some great lyrics added by Thanh.
There are loads of their other songs including some of my favorites: “Dionysus”, “Ma City”, “Truth Untold”, ”Outro: Tear”, “House of Cards”, “Lost”, “Dimple”, “Butterfly”, etc. and their solo, rapline, vocal line, short films, comeback trailers, etc. not included.

In *"Butter"* when you threw your hands up seeing Jimin in the MV do it, they were actually spelling out *ARMY* with their bodies, which is what *BTS* fandom is called. Don't let these 2 MVs fool you, they are more than POP music, you will see that once you explore more of their group music and especially individual solos. Since you're new to BTS, if you haven't heard the news: they're taking a break for the next 18 months to 2 years because of their mandatory military enlistments. One by one each one of them will be going into the military. They will reunite in December 2025 or early 2026. Praying they stay healthy and safe during their military enlistments. Jin is currently the first one that has enlisted in the military in December 2022. In the meantime, each one of them is starting to release a solo album.
The guy in the purple hair is Jungkook, the main vocalist. His vocals are amazing. I highly recommend that you watch the song "Dreamers" from the 2022 FIFA World Cup that Jungkook sung with Fahad.
BTS are the only artist im listening on Spotify, i literally made an acc there for streaming their music. The guys have a really diverse discography which i extremely recommend to listen to.

I'm so glad that you found BTS. They are amazing artists. But they are much more than just singers. They all write, compose, and produce their own music. I could count on one hand all the songs they have sung from other writers. 4 of out 7 are trained dancers. And 2 of them have been trained since childhood in hip-hop and contemporary dance. Their live stages and award show stages are on another level.

It can seem very overwhelming, but I say just enjoy the ride at your own pace. 💜💜 You have come across BTS at an interesting time, as the members of the group are slowly releasing their solo albums as they are scheduled to complete their mandatory military service in SK. The oldest member (Jin) started his military service in Dec, and his song with Coldplay *"The Astronaut"* is basically a love letter to BTS's fans called ARMY. The live performance of that in Argentina is just spectacular. 😊 BTS are beyond K-Pop at this point and never conformed to what others in the industry were doing anyway (typically speaking). The humiliation and disrespect they endured in the early years and willingness to persevere, is part of the reason why their fandom is so strong now. Yea, BTS! The chameleons of Korean music, fearlessly going after whatever vibe they want to explore and authentically incorporate.
You'll find that lots of kpop will do things for aesthetic without realizing the source material they are drawing from (usually Black culture). But the founding members of BTS have been fans of American rap and hiphop from when they were kids, giving shoutouts and making collabs over the years. After some teenage blunders, the group as a whole went to America when they were just starting out, to get real exposure to the hiphop/rap scene and talk to people who came up in it. They wanted to approach it honestly if they were going to be inspired by it.
They are the goalz that everyone is chasing. :) Which is endlessly hilarious to fans who saw how they were shut out of the industry from the beginning. So they carved their own way and everyone is falling over themselves to come down the same road now, lol
I see other ARMYs (BTS fans) have posted comments. I will keep this brief. Welcome to the BTS rabbit hole. While many of their songs are pop. They do all genres. #BTS is a 7-member group that debuted back in June 2013, all of the members are in their 20s except of the oldest JIN who turned 30 years old and is now assistant instructor doing his mandatory military service. Introduction order Leader then Oldest to Youngest and even though RM is middle member, he is leader so he tends to get introduced first.

One of the things that was weird for me at first is that they're all center sometimes. This isn't one person with a supporting group, it's 7 performers. On most songs they hand the song around between rappers and singers and all 7 contribute 😁
What gets those of us who really love them - the reason I'm army - isn't just the music. They're sincere, genuine. A lot of their music is deeply meaningful (you picked a couple of the ones that aren't so much), and they're always trying to make the world a better place. They're just really good people who work hard to make beautiful music.

When it comes to BTS they can't be confined to one genre they use many different genres and also mix genres they have so many songs everyone is bound to find at least song they connect with. They comprise of 3 Rappers and 4 vocalists but all the rappers also sing. They are all song writers, producers, and most are also composers, in fact Suga (Rapper) has even won an award for producing for another artist.

Lol... Reactors almost always start with Boy with Luv or Dynamite or Butter. Great songs, but it's so fun to watch them explore further and the "oh that's cute!" comments become "Oh wow! NOW I understand." Please do check out more of their music. This is just the tip of a very deep iceberg. I've seen others recommending group songs, so I'm going to recommend a few of my favorite solo songs by group members. Please check out Wildflower by RM, More by J-Hope, Daechwita by Agust D (goes by Suga in BTS), The Astronaut by Jin, Dreamers by Jungkook, Singularity by V, and Filter by Jimin. Later you'll want to watch information videos on them because when you learn their story and what they went through to get where they are and how they are STILL the most adorable, goofy, kind, loving, sweet, and humble guys in the industry, that's when you really fall for them. At some point you'll want to learn their names and then it's all over. Have fun exploring!
The nice thing about BTS is that they can perform a variety of genres. They're not boxed into one specific music style and yes they rap and sound like hiphop pop in general, but they work their butts off and are very talented. If you want to spend the night laughing your ass off, watch some of their other non-music videos. Yes, they're ADORABALICIOUS, too!

RM, Suga, and J-hope are the rap line and they have some songs that's just them "ddaeng" being one of them...but there was a concert a while back that had jimin, jin, v, and jungkook *vocal line* rap their parts. it was awesome.
