Dear Jeff, I discovered "Yellow River" earlier this year on a Swedish retro station at the age 37. It is one of the best pop songs I have ever heard. I conveyed my adoration of the song to my Dad, and he told me that it was a big favourite of his when he was a student in Leeds in 1970. Thank you for the music! Steve

I was only 2 and half years old in the summer of 1970. Maybe they played this song very often in the following summers as well. But I remember very well, and still love so much, this song.
I was very very young when this song was played on the radio, nonetheless, clicking around today on UA-cam has brought it back to me as a most unexpected and sweet treat ! What a great video you have posted here, too. Thank you for the music & the memories ! Boas lembranças tenho dessa época ,meu falecido irmão tinha uma banda de rock ele tocava muito essa música ,era um grande sucesso da época, bons tempos.
This was part of the soundtrack for my honeymoon in late 1970. Due to a dispute between recorded companies and radio stations, only a few imported recorded were being played, and played they were. This was one. It has memories for me...
Grew up listening as a little girl reminds me of summertime float trips with friends along the Illinois River, lots of tippy canoes 🛶 water moccasin snakes, sunburns & fun times. The band along the hwy at the end looks like they’re hitchhiking & running towards their ride, sweet memories of days long past!! ☀️☀️☀️

Wow just rediscovered this again! Happy memories. And with the original drummer Mick Blakley. I reheard this the other day, and just like before I cant stop singing it to myself like before!
Brings back such great memories of a bye gone era....... Where did the time go???
Much love from New Zealand!!!!

Time goes to the same place it has always gone, and no one knows where that is : )
1972-ben hallottam először, azóta is imádom: sárga folyó crysty
I was only 2 and half years old in the summer of 1970. Maybe they played this song very often in the following summers as well. But I remember very well, and still love so much, this song.
I still love it 54 years later....
I was very very young when this song was played on the radio, nonetheless, clicking around today on UA-cam has brought it back to me as a most unexpected and sweet treat ! What a great video you have posted here, too. Thank you for the music & the memories ! As I said, I was only 3 when this was "current," but my radio was my best friend & this happy tune was always a favorite when it would play. I hope you are doing well these days, Sir Jeff ! I have only listened to this about 7 times now !
Every time I hear this song it makes me feel light hearted and want to get down to dance 💃 thank you for the music ❤

This is the correct speed I remember when it first came on the radio. I do remember my band The Sunshine Band playing it a bit slower now in Corpus Christi,Texas. Thanks Jeff for the memories!

Still awesome and evocative after all these decades. Great stuff tends to stay great, and I'd love to play this song sometime at a live gig. Five stars all the way.
I want to visit that famous yellow river, it seems to be a nice place.
Nice music...greetings from Costa Rica!.
This may be the biggest hit yet the LP/CD Christie is well written and worthy of any
music fans collection.I ended up buying this on vinyl 2 years ago and still enjoy it.
Rio Amarelo is a song that makes up for the sad hours of life. I never got tired of listening to it. It was part of my youth. Thanks a lot Jeff.
One of my favourite songs from the 70s played in every shows or weddings 👌
My mum listened to 70's music so when we were driving home from a trip we used to listen this in the car. One of my favourites with sweet funny funny.

Man I haven't heard this in what --30+ years!? And I still remember some of the lyrics! It was a favorite of mine on the AM radio as a kid.

This was part of the soundtrack for my honeymoon in late 1970. Due to a dispute between recorded companies and radio stations, only a few imported recorded were being played, and played they were. This was one.
It has memories for me...
wonderful band, beautiful clip, long live rock, long live Christie.
Obrigado,Jeff Christie, for uploading the video with clean sound(maybe taken from a CD).
Спасибо большое за ваши прекрасные песни.
