@@adipro4679 The manga is worse than the anime for numerous reasons, among them include: less expressiveness in the character designs, weaker characterization, less detailed art (especially when it comes to the background art), a repetitive format for the jokes (common amongst 4-komas), less emotional payoff, unnecessary fanservice, the characters aren't anywhere near as interesting or as fun as their anime counterparts, less side characters, etc. The manga is mediocre, but the K-ON! anime is a masterpiece. The anime is a vast improvement over the source material.

For all the people commenting that it pains them to see the fingers don't move on the fret, this video scene is LOOPED. While yui was playing this, there are many scenes showing the school and the students. She was only shown for a few seconds. Why do people throw hate so much and not just simply enjoy the damn music
It's _really_ hard to animate instruments, especially string based ones like guitars or electric bass. They probably looked at the budget and realized they had to pick either really good audio, or really good animation and chose audio since, well, it's a music anime. That Les Paul sounds so authentic and crisp, they probably recorded on the real thing. Recording every little audio thing they do on the instruments in the show and making it sound as good as it does probably wasn't cheap to pull off.
@@amideadyet268 Its the fact that this anime went HARD on production. The voice actors know how to play the instruments and actually sing the songs, which isn't very common. I think some of them had to learn how to play while in production. Which makes this show even awesome-er than it is. The animation is superb as well but that's Kyoto Animation for you 💘

Why is this song so happy but also extremley sad
This clip and version of the song always makes me feel emotional because to me, it feels like this is something Yui is doing in her past time, waiting for the next adventure that may never come since season 3 hasn’t been announced. So it feels like a looping Void that Yui has to endure to wait until the next event she can attend. That’s what I think of this video. The version is also super melancholy sounding compared to the actual song which fits with my idea of the clip!

They even address it in the show that Yui is actually quite talented. Like, how she is able to pull off certain techniques without even knowing what they are. Besides, while being quite the airhead, she's actually pretty dedicated when it comes to her guitar and the light music club.
So yeah, that's why she's able to make such progress.

One of my favorite scenes in the show.
I love when the series just pauses for a bit and shows just how passionate these girls are about their craft. Just showing them absolutely loving what they do.
Ritsu falling in love with drumming all over again is a close second.
I didn't watch the anime, but for some reason, this solo makes me feel so sad and nostalgia
Now you have a good reason to watch the entire series. At the very end you'll find yourself in tears of both joy and sadness. The second season is truly a masterpiece.

Just finished K-On today, the ending really hit me in the heartstrings. Gotta be honest, I hear this and feel hurt, sad and happy at the same time. I also feel worry for my future too, but, that’s irrelevant lol.
I had that problem to. But a way I dealt with it was by trying to make my own k-on world. One just as happy as theirs.

When this song was played at the freshmen show in season one, that's when the whole show changed for me. It was beautiful and everything the series was about and all the future ambitions of this show and this band just hit on all cylinders. The drum flourish, the super quick cuts of the girls getting into the zone, the lights hitting the stage that fraction of a second after the song kicks in, Mio admiring then covering for Yui in the best depiction of a brain fart I've ever seen then, their inner monologue so in synch that it was played as a conversation, the song so simple and heart melting Mio and Yui singing like angels with the trimphant guitar lead soaring on top and lyrics saccharine but earnest, Ui clapping for her sister with pride, Azusa stretching on her tip toes to see the band. It all came together for me in that moment and all the fluff episodes I'd been writing off up to this point as cute girls doing cute things just snapped into place. All of it had purpose to build up to this moment and other moments like it. I realized there is a goddamn genius working on this show. Still gives me chills. Opening the second season with that song and showing the characters all coming back together to recapture moments like that could not be more appropriate. Brilliant.

Fun fact: in k-on, the drummer, Tainaka Ritsu a.k.a ritsu-chan really wants Yui to join the band club (The light music club) since the club will be dismantled due to insufficient member clubs...and that’s how the show begin
However,in BTR, Here’s the Nijika who also the drummer invites Hitori(Bocchi) to join the band since they need a guitarist... so i think that this is also one of the referrence that can be recognised😂
watched a few videos when Musicians compare how Japanese people does their Chord progression to their songs. And gotta say, K-on's musicality is crazy. Each song has wild chord progression even the bass has it's own crazy ad lib riffs. Mad respect to Mr. Hyakkoku.
K-ON will forever be one of the most legendary anime's out there and will always have a special place in my heart as one of my if not most favorite anime ever

Pretty impressive, not only having a Gibson as your first guitar, but a Standard Model too. I actually bought a used Classic Model earlier this year with my Tax Refund. Decided to try and pick up guitar as a hobby. Still cost me around $1500. Though mine still did come with a hard case, so I was happy about that.
Thats one thing that kinda bothers me most. She has a guitar valued at $2,500, which she got for $500, and she keeps it stored in a soft case.
I was also interested in learning on acoustic as well. Which lead to a purchase of a Gibson J45. Which was actually unexpected as I was at Guitar Center, just looking around that day. Then the clerk talked about their credit card and financial plans to qualifying costumers. Well I qualified and for 2 years at 0% APR, I couldn't say no to that deal. Was really looking forward to playing, then my job entered a busy season for about three or four months. Been barely able to find any time to play. But things seem to be slowing down a bit, so that might change.
It depends. There are shops In Japan selling secondhand prestine Gibson standards at that price. She might even get an Ibanez lawsuit-era Gibson knockoff that are much cheaper, and are better quality than the Gibsons present at the time.
This was the perfect way to start season 2. I have so much nostalgia for this scene

I always liked how these high school kids were able to afford all this high end gear like actual Gibsons. When I was in high school, we played our crappy sub-$200 Epiphones and LTDs and Ibanezes, and we liked it xD

Read the k-on college manga. It's not worth making a whole new season for. The manga isn't the worst thing I've read but it's nothing compared to the first two seasons. A third season would just dilute k-on. It had it's run, but I think it's good that they're leaving the series on a good note.
@@Vmining While there is enough material for an S3 with the college and high school mangas, a new K-On would run the risk of not living up to the previous emotionality and reputation of the first two seasons imo

a season 3 would ruin the meaning of k-on and what it had. a ova, at most.
