It's extremely difficult to animate guitar playing imo because hands are one of the hardest things to draw. And the more you have to move them obv the more frames you have to get right. I don't mind it too much in animation but its really cool when they pull off stuff like this

"Kids on the Slope" has an upright bass that was finger picked. It was an excellent anime about Japanese kids learning about the wonderful world of western jazz way back in 1966. I've watched almost 1000 series now and this one comes to mind because it is a very rare concept. It was very well done and damn did it put a smile on my face when they jammed. Released in 2012 and the legal streaming sites let it go years ago. Clips still exist here on youtube but for legal streaming, it's just a memory. It was a wonderful adaptation.

I realised two things: even though I am a massive K-On stan, I think the music in Bocchi will probably be way more up my alley and this might be the strongest argument to watch it so far.
And second: The direct comparison of all the video footage made me realise how epic Given's animation truly is. I already love it so so much, simply because of the story and since I am a big sucker for pretty visuals, I already enjoyed that aspect. But I will appreciate it even more now! Kinda how like YOI had such beautiful skating animation. I love it when there is so much love shown to their sport/art.
