I sure enjoy watching your videos young man...no swearing, hard working and humble! You are indeed blessed!
let's just grind the Bendix completely off the starter. suppose to let the key go when it starts smh
It's his he can do what he wants.
That's what I was saying lol
😂
LMFAO
Lighten up Francis....
You need a set of jacks under the beaver tail of the trailer to use when loading and unloading the Bombardier, to prevent lifting the rear of your pickup truck . If you unloaded on uneven or hilly terrain there's a chance you truck could lose traction and runaway or twist sideways .
Amen.
Where's the deep snow??
That’s not a blizzard … click bait
Me lol'n @ 1:38 "She fired right up"..that was about 10secs away from a dead battery.
IMO, that plow is a minimum of 3ft to small..the plow for my quad came @5ft, couldn't get nothing done, so i fab'd two sliding plow ends, now i can adjust it anywhere from 6ft - 9ft.
also gotta think about width for the trailer too.... cant go too big or he'll need to get a flat deck trailer.
@@Antiquefarmequipment If it was fab'd up similar to mine, the plow ends pull right out once the pins are pulled out, could just throw those sections into truck bed.
I noticed that too, I wonder how much he cut out of the video of it starting right up, also how he held onto the key once it started.
These were built to plow sidewalks, which is why they are so small.
@@skysthelimit866 Looks like the ones that the City of Montreal uses to push snow from the sidewalks onto the street during snow clearing operations. The City of Montreal doesn't just plow the streets and sidewalks, they actually remove the snow. I don't know how many other cities use these, but Montreal must have a few hundred of them. Still use them (probably more modern versions) to this day. Rugged little beasts (solid steel construction, and a pretty powerful diesel engine), and many of them use a PTO in the back, which can be used to attach a spreader for salt, sand/gravel, or a mix of both.
I remember when you first got that a bit ago, thought you were going to blow that poor old six cylinder as hard as you were running it :-)
Still hasn’t fixed the miss either
Joe, when you plow an unfrozen ground keep the blade up an inch off the ground so you don't plow dirt and gravel off the driveway. After the ground freezes you can go all the way down but you will end up with an ice road in certain conditions. I always leave an inch or so, so there is snow left to get traction off of for cars with summer tires still on them. Good job, it sounds like a loose or bad belt in the engine may not be allowing the alternator to charge the battery totally. It sure beats shoveling by hand, or even a snow blower. I love your videos, we get to see inside lots of engines, thanks.😊
You may really want to adjust the belt on the hydraulic pump. You can hear it squealing when you adjust the blade.
I was going to say the same thing, but back in the first video when he bought the thing
Is that the belt engaging the hydraulic pump squeaking?
Yo here wishing 20 seconds let gooo you guys are the best 🎉
Joe , you really need to store the outboard motor near vertical so that any rain gathered in the lower gear casing/ Exhaust behind the prop will empty out on its own or bag up the prop to stop water getting into the lower case exhaust or else if it freezes you could easily find the ice splits the lower unit , seen that happen too many times
Why would you plow a field and not your driveway the other machine that is made for plowing???
Super cool machine! I have an old Alice Chalmers tractor with the same carb. You can always tell by way they run. You can clean that emulsion tube out really good to an almost polished finish on the inside and it'll smooth that up some.
'Bomb-ber-deer' was the guy who aimed bombs during the war... You own a, 'Bom-bar-dee-ay' snow plow. It's French Canadian.
💯
With all that work you did to that boat and your just letting it sit there with no cover? Come on man its such a nice boat...
That's the free boat that still needs the floor redone. The boat I put a lot of work into is covered.
He did the same thing with this plow too. The guy he bought it from babied that thing and now he leaves it in a rat infested field
@@buddino1you sound jealous
That’s the cool thing about buying your own shit, you can do whatever you want with it
That boat is 50 years old. We had the exact same as a kid, orange.
One of the cylinders has a intermittent miss and check your belts apparently the hydraulic pump is belt driven , I love that machine
You should rainx the window.
I was so worried about Vinnie getting run over!
LOL reminds me of Cheech and Chong on "Big Bamboo" as two Dogs, one said "Hey man let's go chase some cars!" " NO man that'll give you brain damage!" "Huh... From the exhaust?" NO man... from the back tires!!" Vinny'll get hit and instincts kick in to be wary of moving things.
Wow, again the variety, from dirt bikes, ATV's, Hovercraft, and the Tank Plow. No snow yet in the Twin Cities.
But boy did the cold move in fast 😢
Put a hose from the heater a let it blow on the windshield
Frosting up solved
@@partsguy444 Who is old enough to remember the original Beetle or Corvair, running dryer duct from the engine over your shoulder to defrost the windshield
Also there is a hole in the bottom centre of the windshield put a hand wiper on it
That was the best thing you could have bought Joe. What an absolute BEAST!
My thought exactly.
I have decided @ 27:38 that this thing isn't gonna last to long that way it's being reved out like this, i think the entire machine is being treated to harshly plowing at these speeds..something's going to give in under 2weeks..
you gotta give it throttle to move.... its made for it.
I said the same thing! Idk if it has more than 1 gear but if it does he should try taking off and plowing in 2nd gear instead of 1st! It's not good to redline all the time like that they were not built for that...🤔
He wasn't "giving it throttle" he was held wide open there not built for that much redline, he needs to shift it!..
@@matthewryan1544 she sounded like he was giving it throttle to me. 🙄
@@matthewryan1544 Play 27:31-28mins..that poor thing is sputtering & screaming for mercy ! Nothing is meant for that..
New promotion, lucky subscribers driveway plowed. North Woods beautiful scenery. 2Vinny "my turn to drive"
I'm to your south in Iowa with quite a bit of snow and I was wondering how long it would take before you got all your winter toys out
To your north St Paul MN, just a dusting so far this winter, but snow and cold is coming
Joe I think your over reving that engine. Get a tach a put it in. Should runaround around 1500-2200 rpm when working .
I'm sure its governed so it don't over rev
That thing will plow alot of snow..what a beast..
nothing like snow plowing the field!
how much was your house? its beautiful! looks o be about 350k+ !
More like 950k
You’ve got an awesome channel. Hope mine gets to where yours is at one day. Good luck luck Mate !
It looks like you have a new business plowing snow! When I was a kid, I had a dog that ran next to me everywhere I rode my bike. It made her so happy!
I challenge you to make a follow-up video this spring showing viewers the grass areas you plowed. I see alot of soil in that snow, I don't think you will be happy.
It’s a field that gets plowed under in spring it doesn’t matter
@@AdamHeartlandADV That's good. I thought that was the grassy area you normally would test the bikes on that you repaired.
Wow. That was boring.
Hey Mr. Vintage.... Can you help me, please? I'm not a mechanic but I'm hopelessly addicted to your channel & I've got a battery
issue where a wire is draining my battery...... Will you suggest a "Battery Jumping" device for me? I have a 1995 Silverado 5.7L
engine & I need the right kind/brand of a jump starter? Like the one you used here or similar? Can ANYone help me out?
peace & Gb ALL
Yeah buddy, did I smell the gas as she fired up..... lol, got the heat blazing & the radio blaring >> Blazin' n Blarin' ! All ya need !
@@diggy-d8w fix the wire that's draining it.... problem solved lol
Nice
Next film mowing your yard or painting the house...
I have enough to clear myself.... Thanks for showing me how.. all you got was 7 or 8 inches!!! 😒
Outboard on boat needs a trans saver on it, please cover it, when that melts, can get in there rot out, not yo mentione the filth, looks like there's a few things that I'd like to suggest you cover, thought u were gonna toast that starter on the bombardier, on still crank when it was running. Got lucky there. And figured it was off getting g sand blasted and restored. May want to think about a tach and gear oil temp sensor. Parts are hard to come buy. Wish I could be a bit more positive post. Sorry.
That thing is badass ! I wonder how it will do when it gets deep?
Awesome machine 👍 Up here in Ottawa we got the snow storm too. They were mostly using little Hitachi tractors to clear the sidewalks, but they do have a few Bombardier snowcats as well. Similar to Joe's except they are painted orange. Cheers from Canada :-)
These are pretty neat, a friend of mine has 2 of them
Why are you plowing a damn field. All this video of a field? Come on plow something a little more meaningful
What's the purpose of snow plowing a field?
testing it
next video....changing out fried starter on a bombardier
That's only 4 inches of snow, what Blizzard??????? Don't run over V-I-N-N-Y!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What type of Dog is Vinny, he Rocks!!!!!!
hey Joe, awesome job! maybe look into the charging system on that all big plow, should be charging when it's running. the heater should be looked at also, maybe look into a 12 volt one you can just put in and clear the windshield? A wiper is a must, get it done as soon as you can! cheers!
It dying on ya was karma for cold revving the heck out of it. Come on man use your head
What a tank. Just needs wipers. Vinny was so awesome out there helping dad. Great loving and fun dog you have. Not many will do that.
Give the kid a break,, he is use to starting things that are fuel injected . Lol
Love Vinny! Dogs are so great! He's your buddy!
I actually reached to move your hand when you were starting it. Poor bending lol. Sure plows nice.
Bendix
why are you plowing empty fields does not make any sense.
Blizzard?
When you're playing with that four-wheeler I have what they call a state plow when I bought my rhino I had my choice if you use one of them you would never use one of them regular plows like that when you're zipping down the driveway it just throws the snow way out to the side and it got a plastic mold boards so the snow doesn't stick to it, so if you have a chance to pick won up do it I guarantee you will love it oh keep up the great work Snow
Sounds like you have a loose belt on the snowplow machine
Fix that god damned squeaking belt !
You can use just about any wiper motor to have a wiper
I love that Bambi, could really use it for my 1300 ft. driveway if you would ever think of parting with it? I have installed wipers on equipment similar to what you have ,JC Whitney carries a nice little wiper motor & wiper setup for old Willy’s Jeeps works perfectly for a flat mount like on the Bombi. You can install one to cover the middle of the windshield in fact I think I saw mounting holes already there above the windshield for such a motor! As far as defrost you already have cab heat so all you need is a 6” 12volt fan aimed at the windshield, the cab heater will take care of the rest! That Bombi looked cold out in that field I have a heated empty stall in my garage. Hint Hint!
A few LED light pods, defroster and windshield wiper and it's set for a day use.
Now that's what I call a good day at work.
Hey joe you said it run good , it don’t sound good to my ears 👂.
You wearing a helmet inside there??
Didn't really plow any snow w it..was all with a quad..smh..a little misleading..
A lot mislead
I plowed for a long time. If it were me, i would plow with the blade straight...right down the middle, then angle the blade full right two passes, then left 2 passes. The entrance to the main road works better if you plow IN from the road to the driveway and leave yourself plenty of room to push the snow. You run out of room PRETTY QUICK. You will probably get as many opinions as you get comments. Just advising as to my experience plowing in far Northern Michigan for many years. Nice machine, brother. Wish i had that instead of a pickup truck. I had a BOSS angle plow, which was nice!
I came to the comments to say something very similar. I also plowed for forever and a day. I would start dead center at the road to the drive, blade straight, and go straight up to the house. no stopping. Then angle right, plow up the right side of the drive, and down the left, keeping that blade angled right. You can clear a drive pretty quick that way. when the drive is clear, back drag up by the house (or side drag/plow if you have room and catch the smaller areas. Make sure you push plenty far back from the edges so you room for the next snowfall (or three) because as Stephen said, you will run out of room for snow very quickly. 30 years in Iowa pushing snow... then I moved south so I didn't have to any more! Personally I'd be plowing with that Bombardier and seel that 4 wheeler plow. They are more of a pain to deal with and don't move snow near as quick as you think it should. THose blades are too small and tough to angle unless they have an electric blade.
That isn’t a lot of snow! We just got 10” here in Upstate NY . That would be a great snowmobile trail groomer.
Walden NY here and yes this would have been awesome to plow with during the last storm
Great video, rumbling through the woods of that driveway on a snow day. Keep up the hard work, subs are skyrocketing
I would suggest adding a rotating yellow/amber beacon light on top for safety. It can be hard to see a slow moving vehicle in heavy snow
He is in the middle of a field!who's gonna be driving threw other than a deer crossing smh.
Sounds like it needs a bit of a tune up
Learn how to shift please
Cool vid! Rubber tracks are a must 4 pavement. Vinnie is the best!
FYI bomb bar dee ay, not bomb ba deer
I have the exact same gloves and jacket you are wearing in this video. Great minds... And great video BTW 🙂
Bom-bar-d-a. Not bom-ba-deer
lol ‘deep snow’ is relative I guess, that’s like 3”
Clearly hes a dumbass
Is your drone flying by itself, or do you have another person with you flying it and recording while you drive?
I drive the drive and the bombardier
@@2vintage That must be quite the challenge!
I think you just will have to get a snow blower hahaha the 4wheeler works, but the time it takes going over the same spots is crazy!
Yeah, if ther's one hing we learned up here in the Great White North in the 40 years I've spent in my rural subdivision -- forget snowplows on driveways. Snowblowers work ten times better. Gravel or asphalt, careening old Chev / Jeep / Ram pickups got nowhere to put the darn snow. A 10 Honda snowblower is just as quick on a 150 foot driveway, and gets the snow out of here.
Now if you want to clear a store parking lot, that's another matter.
Blizzard? Deep snow? Just an average overnight flurry is all you got there, lad.
That snowfall is not a blizzard. A blizzard is where the winds blow snow sideways, and the accumulation is at least a foot or more and there are vehicles etc buried in drifts
Hey bud...just FYI, you're pronouncing Bombardier incorrectly.... It's a proudly Canadian company 🇨🇦👍🏻, and it's pronounced:
Bom - bard - "ee" - yay
and NOT:
Bomb - a - deer
like you were in this video..... No biggie... Just thought you should know, eh?
👍🏻🥃
Guy never reads comments, such a shame cause a lot of people give good advice to take on board for the next time you use the machine. TAKE THE BLADE STANDS OFF WHEN PLOUGHING!!!!!!!! "I wonder why the blade doesn't go down properly and is leaving 2 lines either side where the feet hit the ground??" ARRRGHHHHHH!!!!!!!
certainly another form of "Plowing" the field.....
what is the point of plowing the field?
@@kpdvw”We talkin bout practice!”
Go do some Neighbors driveways,,,,
It helps if there's a noise complaint later ,,,😂😂😂
Thats a SW48, Bombi Sidewalk cleaner, meant for long jobs vs large space jobs. Thats why the plows so small.
It's pronounced Bom-bar-dee-ay!!!! It's the original company that started CanAm
we plough roads in the UK lol . working great but you need to angle your blade so it slides off . your pushing to much snow in front . cut some old waggon tyres and bolt onto blade will clean's snow off better and save blade . around 150mm tyre showing . bit of hard work but worth it noticed you put a bit angle on further on in video . get some money made ploughing drives once you start folks will be asking how much to do there's . looks on top of it;s job . Keep the great video's coming great to watch . usually watch your video's on tv dont know how to comment ???? ok on lap top .nice one
Before turning the key pump this shit out of it first atleast 10 to 15 pumps before you turn key key!!! Amount of pumps needed first goes by how long it was sitting the feul lines naturally empty back!!!! My God where's your basic Knowledge at....... carborated engine dude!!! Common fucking Sense
With the BEAST , Tighten or replace hydraulic belt, it’s going to break . You have a misfire as well, if that’s gas use your choke with cold startups, if diesel check glow plugs or throttle heater, you have extended cranking on startup. Check all your charging systems connections / fuses for corrosion free and tight.
I love your videos and I want to inform you of the correct pronunciation of the company name. Don't hate me. I was raised in the midwest and pronounced it the same way you do. Then I moved to Montreal and well, things got a bit tense.
Bombardier is a French Quebec company. Bombardier is pronounced bomb-bar-dee-eh. Trust me when I say Quebecers take their language very seriously. Anyway. Thanks for the content.
wow,i read on line you make like $60,000+ a year from you tube for you videos?damn,no i see why you dont work.thats a great gig for sure!!!!!so jelly!!!!!
I like these tanks they are AWESOME, BUT THEY ARE EXPENSIVE TO BUY i SAW A FEW ON MARKET PLACE SIMILLIAR LOOKING.
Also with the BEAST , when you were first driving in the field, small puffs of steam were visible, coupled with the misfiring, be cautious of head gasket issues.
So wheres the deep snow and the blizzard?😂 You knew someone was going to say something!😅 Although i think a blizzard is just a snows storm wirh winds over a certain mph. Amd youve got more snow than here in Maine! Rain and 50s...that thing is sweet btw, would be a blast to plow some real snow with it!
You can also install a 12 volt cigarette lighter for charging as well. They sale portable 12 volt plug in window defrosters. Just sayin !!!!😊
Deep?
It not set up for starting, turn engine over twice them pull the choke . Don’t the touch gas ⛽️ pedal. Probably should get a new belt B49 and check your hydraulic oil tank .
Where do you live?
You have a lot of snow; I'm over here in By Monticello,MN and we have nothing.
If you don't mind can you send some of that white stuff over to my area; I'm tired of brown.
Hey man does it have only 1 gear?? It seems like it's always at redline that can't be good for it lol, You should try taking off in 2nd gear and see how that goes! If I was you I would avoid 1st gear unless you were going up a steep incline or something like that.. just something to think about love the videos been watching since the beginning!
Great video. I'm not sure who had more fun, you or your dog :D Take it easy. Cheers.
As well portable buddy heaters for extra heat and drying out the inside of the cab on your snow plow and keeping your windows clear. Just sayin !!!!😅
Your definition of "deep snow" and "blizzard" certainly differ from common perception.
Man give the poor old girl a break, you Rev the shit out of it, it's a nice toy, but I feel like you won't find your toy funny doing mechanic at -25C
Boat for sale, recently Winterized, by Winterized I mean left in the feild all Winter long?! 😂 No mice damage because they would freeze to death in a Boat that was not Wrapped!! 😮
Joe, This a friend segesting you put a stirafome cover on camera microfone to stop the wind noise. Ive seen outdoor sports casters and others do this and it stops the wind noise. Thank ypu By the way I love your youtubes on buying and fixing restoring most motorized vechicycles. Keep up the good woek.
Sorry the hydraulic pump should run off the motor got no belt on my 4 machine. Some blizzard iiiii iiiii see over 1000 yds across the field .
