charging system a bit low should be around 14v

One of the least desirable 450s that came out back then. Weren't the fastest (although owners claimed they were). Only pros were they were FI and had reverse.
Make sure you get battery with hig CCA. They are really hard on batteries. I have an 08 kfx 450r. Plus reverse is sweet and they have a choke
The Monster Energy editions usually command about 10% more in value. In some cases up to15%. I believe they were only made in 2008.Hopefully that's not just a graphics kit, because there was little hidden gems on all Monster Energy models hence why they were worth more. I remember I almost bought a new 08 Monster Energy kx100. Nice find Joe.
Every tire will have a manufacture gate code so it will be the week and the year for instance 0494 would be the fourth week of 1994. The date code will ONLY BE ON ONe SIDEWALL (not both)

I was out of a job for 9 months once and I sold a bunch of stuff at a big discount to just to make sure I had some emergency cash.
I owned the kfx450r. Great machine. Great price that you grabbed it for. The fenders are modular so you can remove them for tight trail riding. I would't recommend the big bore kit as its already fast enough.
I don't know if it's me but I swear the o-ring fell off. That rear brake side in by the clutch basket could be wrong. You might have saw it but I did see something fall off of it

Do they really go for $4k+ where you're at for that year? Ive owned a few of these over the years mostly 2010 to 2015 and dont think i ever paid more than 2k for one. The Kawi's were never the hot quads for some reason but they were great. Nice score if they're really that much up there!
Nice to see you getting a good deal from the off, just one question though, how can you say the brakes are working perfect without even moving the quad, you can have a good lever, pedal and the brakes not working, be careful.

Looks like a really easy one this time, the quad looks like it goes like a rocket. Love that jet ski, it's amazing how well it runs considering how long that thing was standing.👍

Ive owned a few of these. I put a big bore kit and upgraded a few things and it was pretty badass. I thought mine was fast until i got a Raptor 700R. I had lots of fun on the Kawasaki tho

Be careful. Those things could be dangerous. When I was in the hospital the guy in the next bed was riding one of those things seem to be hurt really bad.
Mrs twin carburetor I have one of mine own they are great quads super fast I got mine for free cost me about $1000 to get it running runs like a champ your a great mechanic I really respect your work your awesome

Yes stock tires, they are bad about the (roll over sincere) going bad so if it won't ever start that's something to check!

That voltage is on the min side of charging though.
As for the ski.. oem mikuni only kits.. they have the red dot diaphragm..

The plastic reservoir is the one you top of the radiator cap never comes off,it’s a pressurised system do not remove when hot Joe👍☮️

I'm not even a minute in an I'm gonna say. If it seems to good to be true, it usually is..lol. You could be 1 of the lucky ones...lol. Also never throw out a number for a price like that. He could have only been thinking he was going to be happy if he got a thousand and you just gave him double of what he was expecting. I always see what they're looking to get 1st and go from there.
In my opinion you wanna pay more what it’s worth. It would be shady to only give him $1000 for instance. It’s not always about getting the best deal possible. Gotta help others out and not scam them
