I’ll be there in 3 weeks from NC! You truly and wholeheartedly need your own tv show. You have an amazing personality and your videos are an absolute joy 🙃
Excellent video Jay. Packed full of recommendations. Like how you put each place in context by explaining what’s nearby - Pompidou, Montmartre etc. Looking forward to the wine bar guide!
For myself, wheelchair accessibility in Paris is a topic on the top of my list. We were there in 2018, it wasn't too bad. Maybe there were things we missed out on because we didn't know how the accessibility of places were going to be.
Boy, I feel like a coffee now! It's much too late however and I'm not in Paris, sadly... Congratulations & salutations from grey & weirdly back to normal Ireland! ☘💪🏽👀👍🏽☘
Great timing! We just arrived in Paris yesterday evening after two failed attempts to get here over the last two years. We'll be sure to check out some of these places on our visit. Cooper is such a good boy 🐕
I’ll add Terres de Café. They have several shops in different parts of the city. My preferred one is the Terres de Cafe St Honoré where Loïc and Étienne do a great job to welcome every customer.
Great video and content. Love the pacing. "Paris in My Pocket" is great branding as well. Keeping with the boisson theme, would love to see a video on the best places to drink (beer/wine/cocktails). Would also love to see the best vegan/vegetarian offerings in Paris (maybe featuring Puxan?). Keep up the great work.
Just making a follow-up comment. Tryed Back In Black today, as recommended in your video. Oh my gosh! The coffee was amazing and so was the pesto bread with egg. Seriously delicious!
Thank you. LOVE IT. already marked on my map. It gives a vibe of normalcy - hopefully. And you have a new viewer - my daughter is in love with Cooper😍😍😍😍😍
You’re really ‘leveling up,’ Jay! Branding is terrific, the pace is energetic but not rushed, and providing specific content is excellent. I’ve loved all your videos but this is a whole new ballgame. Well done!
Very cool, Jay. I think if/when you lean into this kind of content more regularly it’ll really pay off for you. Fully support the vlog in all its form but this stuff will drive your business. My $0.02
Happily found you thanks to the UA-cam algorithm….subscribed, and will now work my way through your back catalogue. I joke with my wife that the best coffee in Paris is still well below average. We haven’t been in five years, your vlog gives me hope when we head back again soon.
Hey Jay, I picked up guide. Even though I come to Paris often. It is making a difference this time around. I’m here for the next two weeks. Maybe I’ll get chance to thank you personally. Thanks again.
A good dirty chai is so telling of a good coffee shop!! I miss good coffee! I am an Aussie European living in Denmark and France atm. Australian coffee culture is v missed.
Liking the more traditional French style music with this strand of your videos! Suggest bakery comparisons?? Croissants better in this one, baguettes in this one. Choclatiers also? Bars at different times of day/ family suitable eateries?? Just a few ideas that would be useful if visiting Paris...
If someone is willing to pay for a premium and unique coffee experience, I’d highly recommend Substance Cafe near Sentier. The owner always works the bar, speaks decent English, and goes above and beyond to provide a stellar coffee experience. But I’d say this is only for coffee geeks! You have to drink at the bar and there’s no to go drinks. All the other suggestions Jay makes are great - specifically love Partisan!
Thanks for the detailed coffee connoisseur advice ;) It was funny to be sitting opposite you this morning in partisan, it's not often you get to thank content creators in person :) I only tried Partisan from this list, as I went to substance cafe twice 😅 but I agree, I can fully recommend the partisan espresso :p
I found it difficult to get good coffee in Paris when I visited in 2019. I stumbled across Coutume, the coffee was brilliant. I liked so much I was prepared to walk back there the following day(5 kilometres) to sample their food, also excellent. I’m returning to Paris this year and looking forward to trying the other venues. Thanks
Awesome, Thanks Jay!! I hope you can make a video about the best Vegan Boulagneries/Cafe's in Paris. Not a lot of info about it out there, vegan coissants seem hard to come by!
great segment...i sincerely hope you didn't taste all of those coffees in the same day...if you did, then when did you finally fall asleep? 3 days later...lol...great job as usual.
I'm really confused- It looks as if you are drinking 'drip" coffee (9:12). I didn't know that was a thing there. What would one order to get that? and is that more common now in Paris than before?
I moved to Paris in 2008, along with my expat friends we hated coffee in Paris. Fast word today, what a difference. Parisians taste for coffee were towards bitter. They didn’t know any better. A lot of the changes were influenced by the Italians and also whether you like them or not, Starbucks. Thank Buddha we no longer have to schlepp coffee from US or Italy.

If you speak slower, that could increase you subscribers from those who are not native English speaking countries.
It is proud to see the fellow Australians are leading the coffee scene in the City of Light
Thanks for the info. Digging the classic vlog background music. Good luck with « Paris in my pocket »
Thanks Ron! I think it'll be a really fun series =D
Is there a more noble deed than to help us find good coffee? 🙏🏻
Cool that you still have a vlog feel to these.
