- [6.35] Finally, my favorite class. I absolutely love Dragoon. Its playstyle, aesthetic, design, everything. I have been putting off this guide for a while and finally got around to doing it so thanks for sticking around for those who have been waiting!

I didn't realize I had to learn Trigonometry to play Final Fantasy XIV.
Every beginners guide needs an end game skill rotation...
@@briancamp4164 Your mom needs an end game skill rotation.
I fucking love how you keep updating these. Love your work and humor. Lalafells are life.
Love these types of videos, quick and to the point!
Installed FFXIV a few months ago. I'm kinda flying through the story (not skipping shit i love FF) and i am finally settling down on one tank and one dps class, the dps being dragoon. I only recently rearranged my skills for combos to work effectively but this video helps tons. You have not only a skill for understanding jobs but you know how to explain them for people who have no clue. I subbed. Thank you for the learnin.
I’ve been loving this series, and I think this Dragoon video does an ESPECIALLY good job of breaking down the rotation and visualising it in a way that makes it easy to understand. Thank you, and great work!
I struggle to understand game mechanics. I'm 33, just really getting into games (beyond like. Pokemon lol) and while I have been thoroughly enjoying the first 40 levels of FF14, I was *really* struggling with figuring out how I'm supposed to do this stuff. This is exactly what I needed. Thank you. Excellent work.
same tbh. game doesnt tell you how to combo
no game will tell you tho you need to figure it out yourself by reading the skill descriptions@@Manudyne
Was just picking up Dragoon and this comes out. Thank you thank you
THE KING RETURNS
wow the rotation is like two 5 part combos + weaving buffs!?! Dang
It's actually easier than you think. In fact, I think Dragoon is the easiest melee job.
I’ve waited for more idiot guides so long. Glad your back
Man, you've been gone for so long! Glad to have you back! Thanks for the upload!
This is more complicated than i anticipated... My peanut brain is collapsing rn
Another great video!
Thank you for this!
Another perfect video
It feels illegal to be this early.. Excited to sit down and watch this!
thank you, this was very informative
Love how for that one picture of an ability it has Kain from FF4. Than again if you're fully into FF, it should make you think of Kain.
Cant wait for the Dragoon remake!
*watching the dragoon spin like a top for half of his attacks* Guys, I don't think dragoons know what a "thrust" is.
Saving for later as I'm only around 70. Full bars already, and confused not on combos, but when to execute buffs and rotationals. Seems like it gets moderately more complex, which is terrifying. Guess I'll need to remove convenient stuff from skill bars.
New FF14 player, picked it up on a friend's recommendation after dropping SWTOR. This game-and DRG specifically-is everything I didn't know I wanted from an MMO. I *love* how DRG feels in 80-90 content. Been looking to improve and optimize my play after getting the fundamentals down, so this video was exactly what I needed. Cheers
oh they got rid of blood of the dragon it seems and apparently reworked jump to be fast even when it’s not upgraded to high jump. Nevertheless i think it would be cool to have your eyes on your character change when using life of the dragon
i 2nd this (as said by a DRG main lol)
❤❤❤
I just started a few weeks ago, Dragoon fast became my fav Job... So wanted to see what I was getting into.... And holy crap. I need to learn a 66735285 button rotation..??! Geeze. I didn't expect it to be that complicated. lol. I am just lvl 43, and my 3 button combo and 2-3 damage buffs were fun and I seem to hit like a truck when used right, but I had no idea I would have to study a rotation guide with a gazillion moves and powers for end game content, ffs. lol
Don't worry about the rotation. It's really only if you do sweaty content. In most gameplay, you can play however you like and still do good damage. Dragoon is a fun job, so just keep playing it.
Are the guides you make showing the ONLY way you can play a specific class??? (Like the best way), or is there another order of skills I can use for the class you’re talking about
Waiting for the next expac when dragoon gets reworked
Hi, sprout here. So the Dragon gauge is only accessible to you in Stormblood? I am level 77 Dragoon in heavensward and I finished the level 60 Job Wuest and I still have no gauge
So is there a reason to keep jump on hotbar after learning other jump moves? Are the other jumps upgrades to the basic jump or like companions?
My brain is fried. Good video tho
Megastar when someone doesn't want to do that
Full thrust 🍌
Oh my god i already feel so autistic at lvl 60 drg cant wait for lvl 90!!!
can i ask an important question! how did you move your health/manabar up?
System > HUD Layout > Current UI Element > Parameter Bar
If using a controller, right analog stick will move whatever element you've selected from the Current UI Element dropdown.
@@D0N0H0 thank you it took me a while to get used to it all but now i have everything in a nice spot!
idk why, maybe im still to early but i don't have a dragoon gauge (im lvl 53 so idk) do i need to unlock it or something??
The only complain I have about dragoons is AoE. It... linear AoE doesn't feel good at all especially in MSQ (in dungeons too though). Anyway, in the end I decided to main dragoon over monk. At least until I reach RDM or MCH.
Yeah compared to Reaper, thev AOE fights are not that good. However this class is so unique that I main it
I love the line aoes they just need to be less narrow
I see that DSR cameo you......
Just hit level 50, holy hell my toolkit looks like it'll overwhelm me lmao
Im an idiot who understands this guide but still find playing FFXIV hard af 😅
Wait wait....i just came back to FF after 2 years and they changed Chaos thrust to have a real positional bonus?! Wtf have I been doing in sub-50 dungeons then?!
If we took a shot every time you say thrust, we'd be dead not 2 minutes in
The tutorials really need to explain combos better. I got to lvl 52 as a dragoon without ever using a combo lmao
That wasn't for idiots i got lost in the first minute
AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH im too dumb
a year after this was posted I come to relearn DRG to do story before DT... so many buttons... this is why I quit in the first place lol...
XD all vids ive seen, had an amazing reason to play the job. meanwhile dragoon just basically useless XD
1st
Oof. Yeah, Dragoon ain't for me. Thanks for the vid though!
This sounds complicated lol
Bro just sold me on drg for my alt.
If I didn't like MNK as much as I do I'd probably play DRG
Thx I am now convinced to not play this job
Damn and I thought WoW had button bloat lol. I think I'll just stick to WoW.
The class is not bloated. Lol I play the game exclusively with my PS5 controller and have all the buttons easily assigned. Some of the skills replace another when in use, which reduces the space taken up.
I don't understand why this person is yelling
I started playing like 3 weeks ago so I don't understand anything of what you just said but ill note down that order for when I get all skill 🫡
After a session of FF14, I like to unwind with theoretical physics and advanced calculus problems.
