As an Indian I hate to say this but he's not wrong. Just blindly worshipping the country is the reason why we Indians don't acknowledge that clean streets, clean air, clean food and water is our right. No strict rules, no jobs, no safety nothing is here.
Right do u also see that most Countries are consolidating themselves for there own benefits and uplifting there own Citizens, so when they change there Law n new immigrant will feel the heat e.g. US green card for family if u have money come to us otherwise don't so we need to apply our brain
My advice to all those who want to go , only those should go who have confidence, don't feel home sick, have no serious health issues and are willing to adjust and don't have any food fads. Also you should be able to adjust to cold environment.. The break point of going outside India to a developed country is the clean environment, no pollution and basic honesty and respect for merit. One has to be a physically active person without an over sensitive personality
Yes you went to make money and when there is a war or pandemic you will come back begging or requesting to government to allow to come back to India with us Tax payer money
I had commented on your previous video with a different viewpoint that - "It's slways better to have a tough life BUT you can atleast breathe fresh air, fresh water, less traffic etc." I rest my case.
While I respect your honesty in sharing how your opinions have changed, it's important to recognize the significant influence you have. Many people, likely moved to Gurgaon because of your influential videos over the past few years. Having lived in Gurgaon for the past two years, I can say it's not as ideal as your videos might suggest. I wouldn't rank it among the top-tier cities. Cities like Pune, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad perform much better, and Mumbai isn't even comparable. It seems you might now be considering moving out, which makes sense given your online business. This is similar to Akshat Shrivastava's situation. Given this, it's important for you to also change your perspective on Gurgaon's real estate situation. You know well that the current market conditions are unreasonable. As someone with a substantial reach, you have a social responsibility to address the issue of inflated real estate prices. Buying a flat in Gurgaon should not be more expensive than buying a villa in a first-world country. Please use your influence to raise awareness about this issue so that middle-class people can afford something as basic as a home. Your stature goes beyond brokers, politicians, builders, and their vested interests. Regards.
Arey bapre...i am shocked how your take changed on going abroad. That time i thought guru ji itna practical bane phirte he phir wo kyu mana kiya. He might have missed the nuances. Glad he changed his mind. It shows how open minded, diligent and prudent his thought process is. You are realy a thoughtful and real well wisher of youth.

Sir there always be confirmation bias: 1. Those who need to/ want to/ can go, they'll support the idea of going. 2. Those who don't need to/ want to/ can't go, will oppose the idea of going.
Never agreed to his earlier videos. My daughter left for the US a few years back . Took loan . Did her masters. Got a very high profile job at one of the FAANG companies. Happily stays there. Not even 28, she has travelled to more than 18 countries solo. Took me also to few. We don't expect anything from her. Her friends too followed her . Now they are in many other countries like Germany, UK, Denmark, Dubai, Singapore, etc. They visit each other. They are living their dream lives. Whenever ask to come home, she says what to do there. And asks us only to go to her. Since kids we made it a point to travel across India. So now they are at ease to travel anywhere in the world. We don't force her to marry. No. Let her do it whenever she wishes. Nothing great about staying here especially future generations. We can show respect to our mother land from anywhere in the world. No need to rot in this system. Indians are respected all over the world. It's my personal experience.

The prospects in this country for a general category (also includes ANY category) kid is very low. Today, national politics and state politics is focused on caste and will remain so in the near future. But caste is an very small factor. The overall quality of life in Vishwaguru will decrease as population increases. Jobs are like resources and they will become less and less in number in relation to growing population which will result in a fierce competition even in simple jobs. The education system is completely outdated and, to be honest, is practically useless for preparing a person for professional life. Endless exam cycles, like after 12th CUET-UG then for Masters CUET-PG, then for PhD UGC-NET etc. is making life of an average person more and more difficult. Outside India, although it has to be mentioned that life of an immigrant is very difficult and one will face struggles of different nature, quality of life is superior than that of Vishwaguru. This country is going to be simply unlivable in the future. Temperatures will soar around 55 degree Celsius in near future in north India and on top of it the way things are run with incompetence in this country makes life more miserable. Politicians across the party lines have sent their kids abroad for study and work. From Jaishankar to Supriya Sule to Shazia Ilmi to Digvijay Singh. If one has money then one should consider to get out of this literal dump. Sorry for harsh take on India.

Not for everyone. I lived in Europe for 4-5 years and returned back. My priority was my family and in general there was a feeling of loneliness with no one to talk to. Time is limited for each one of us and it is important to spend with our loved ones. You are definitely going to have better quality of life- cleanliness and clean air which we lack. But not everything will go your way. Make a choice in life and go ahead with it. Every person is different and has different goals and priorities in their life.

Upward mobility has become impossible in this country. You either have to own a successful business, or have a specialised role which is hard to replace or engage in corruption to escape middle class.

It’s a sign of a progressive mind to change perspective with new information. My husband and I are premium subscribers. Following you since long time. I have seen your videos where once you endorsed not going abroad.
It's a weird coincidence that my opinion changed at roughly the same time as yours guruji. The biggest problem for me personally is how people get away with heinous crimes in India and victims are left to cry.
Exactly. The judiciary is a joke here. Only ultra rich and politically connected people can have a good life here. Illegal immigration, religion based politics, corrupt system, taxes are just daylight robbery. I don't see any furture here. No stability in jobs. Growing unemployment. I don't even know if we will be able to exist safely in near future.
@@roofsat2535 your comment is like rotten milk from the beginning. Kolkata case actually proves my point. This sounds so true. My husband left to Middle East Qatar 6 years back and we are on the path financial independence probably in next 2-3 years. Grass is greener from the other side.. I have been living in Europe for the last 15 years. I came when the situation and day to day live in India was even worse compared to now. The advice here is not bad, but just shortsighted and good in the initial years. You are encouraging only to go abroad, but not advising to come back in time. In my case also everyone was discouraging to come back. Over the time i lost my parents, now losing touch with my siblings and my village. I can see my self becoming a rootless tree drying up. BTW, this is not my emotion rather my experience saying. It's a perspective. The more you spend time abroad, the more is the clarity on the perspective. But by then, it would have been too late. I would advise in pragmatic way,(if your audience would like take it) 1. Definitely go abroad in your 20s. Earn money and experience, enjoy and LEARN how the quality of life is better there. 2. By mid or late 30s, gather ideas and come back to India. By then should think of utilising your knowledge and experience in India. 3. Make India you base. Anywhere you see a problem, think of a solution. 4.Try to keep the root of your children intact with India. If they can do schooling in India, it is far better for their inner resilience. Last but not the least, no country is perfect, it is the people who make a country beautiful. We must take stand to change the unchangeable. Any Sitaraman or Chidambaran for some 5 year terms should not deter you. It is too late, but painful to see my self that I gave my prime time to a foreign country, rather than my own country. I am still figuring out ways to come back. Had it been 5/7 years ago, it would have been easy.

The reason why sir change the stance to go abroad because for next 3-4 years there is nothing much in India, real estate prices are high, stock market is high. If you leave you won’t miss anything in India. I presume why he said during covid and post covid time because India was running like crazy people have earned crores both in cash and unrealised values. So yeah I do understand what sir meant when he said to try for abroad. He might change in next 4-5 years again based on Indian conditions.
I have been in the UK for the last 30 years, coming here at age 29. I have several friends in other countries and am constantly in touch with India. With due respect, I don't agree with your advice. Going abroad at a young age is easy if one manages to get into a uni or a job. However, once you settle down, it becomes comfortable, and you don't feel like coming back because of children's education. Yes, you have clean water and air, but domestic help is difficult, social isolation is common and cost of living is 4-5 times higher. Most important problem comes when parents in India become old and you are not able to take care of them. Yes, whose destinty is abroad will do so, and no one can stop them (as it happened in my case) I feel that one should stay in India and help build our country in whatever way possible. Remember, grass is always greener on the other side.
Worse people after 20 years in the UK dont have much savings and they cannot even buy top class apartments in India so they cannot even return. It is almost stuck situation for expats.
Very good sir. All Indians like the environment... BECAUSE common people follow the rules. Rules of behaviour, cleanliness, traffic, building construction... waiting for your turn... But we have spoilt our country by not following the above

Return on assets is the highest in India. But India is the worst country in the world to be doing a job. For example, it will take you 25 years to double the value of your assets in New Zealand, whereas in India 25 years should see your assets grow fifteen fold.

Definitely going abroad makes a lot of difference to one’s outlook, thought process , how we see people who are not the same as us (ethnicity, color, culture etc). Three decades ago when I first went to Singapore, it changed me permanently in terms of littering, driving habits. That’s actually just the tip of the iceberg ! Each trip to other parts of the world gave me a different perspective , shaping me as an individual.
I respect you very much . Ek video हरियाणा में झूठi ego वाली young community के लिए भी बनाए जो समझ ही नहीं पा रही कि वो kuyen के mendhk हैं. Thanks for opening my mind during last one year❤
I have a theory-maybe it's a good one. Lol! If your net worth is 7-8 crores or more, there's no point in leaving India for abroad. If it's less than that, consider taking the plunge. Life outside India is either good for the poor or the very rich. Life for the rich is great in India too, but if they still don't like it, they can easily transition. We should also remember that there's a very high probability India will do very well in the future. What became of China in the last three decades could be the story of India in the next 2-3 decades. Where China excelled in hardcore manufacturing, India could very well win in IT and AI because that's the next era. Let me tell you a true story: Currently, I live in downtown Toronto, and there's a local convenience store in my neighborhood owned by an older Korean man. He left Korea 45 years ago when his country was quite poor or at least not on par with any western country. His brother came along with him to Canada but went back after a couple of years to take care of their parents. Fast forward to 2024, Korea now has some of the biggest multinational giants like Samsung, LG, KIA and many others. Now, his brother in Seoul, the city which now has the same infrastructure and quality of life if not better, is living a great life driving a Jaguar with a huge paid-off condo in a plush neighborhood. But this gentleman is still here running a small convenience store, driving a Civic, and still trying to pay off his mortgage. Times have really changed in Korea for good in past few decades. I have similar stories from some Chinese friends too, who came here for a better life when their own country was fighting poverty. But then the tables turned, and China became what it is today, while Canada has worsened since the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and even the 90s. The USA's story is similar too. Life outside your motherland can be a trap-once you get in, it's nearly impossible to get out. Just watch a channel called Nomad Capitalist to know what's going on in the world. Affluent people in the western world are leaving their countries to move to smaller countries for better lives. Anyway, this is just my opinion. Think carefully before deciding, friends. All the best to you all!
Are you living in a condominium in Doentown Toronto ?I live in a suburb in Toronto in a detached … we came here 11 years ago … as a woman this is a very safe country … I feel … India might become a superpower in the future … but let’s talk about now … I think this is subjective to what conditions one is living in but even if you are ultra rich in India … you will breathe the same air, road infrastructure will be the same … etc
Just like you have changed your perspective on this topic, i am sure soon you will also change your views on marriage these days and then you will have to apologize to all of your subscribers who believed you and got married.
Every UA-camr has come up with his/her unstable views on a plethora of topics, which can change. It's best to think for oneself and not to follow anyone blindly.
its not his fault, he's just here to preach his opinions and life experience and isn't forcing anyone to follow, in the end, it's still your life and you have to be totally responsible for that, he's only there to guide and advice you. If you blindly married without considering anything after listening to him and are now regretting, then it's your fault.
I never heard him blindly saying "leave India" or "stay in India". It was always contextual, as it is in every case. He even said that sometimes you are born to not get married.
You should get married only when you feel like. Marriage kaa koi fayda nahi jab Mann naa ho, or you don't feel like living or sharing responsibilities which is alright. We got to realise that not everyone is family person, he speaks on what he feels like, at the end we should be smart enough to take our decisions. Stupidity is when people want to take validation for their decisions. Marriage kaa koi fayda nahi jab career mein sab Dena hai, and family isn't the priority. It's not wrong but marrying when your priorities are different is wrong
You are so right with respect to new people coming abroad. Initial expectations are with respect to stay or co-signing loans. True one may have reasonable sized house , but doesn’t mean that you can have distant relatives staying for extended periods. Asking to co-sign for credit cards or car loans also gets tricky
Good advice. Appreciate if you can also discuss some problems that NRI face that have come in your consultation that would help folks going from here and also the NRI's audience.
Depends - if you are bright and have cracked decent college, opportunity in India is enough to grow. However he is right if you are average or below , chances of earning well and better future is higher in some developed country.

For those who can, move abroad for temporarily if possible. It is a refreshing experience to meet different people, understand a different work ethic and get a perspective. You can always come back and this experience will be invaluable. I shifted to the US three years back and still have plans of coming back. I met some wonderful people traveled to beautiful places here. You mentioned a point of house help being available in India, that's not the case here. But today I can cook and manage my house just as well as my parents.
John Maynard Keynes is often credited with saying “When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do, sir?” In fact, the actual source of this quote was not Keynes, but Paul Samuelson, another famous economist. Regardless of who actually said the words, the sentiment behind them makes intuitive sense to most of us. We do not go through life following a perfect linear path, regardless of what life throws at us. We adapt our plans as circumstances change because doing so makes us better off.

Also, make a video to tell the parents and family back home that your kid will not become rich immediately after landing in another country. Here in Canada, it takes a long time to settle. Esp when students come here, parents pressurize their kids to quickly get PR, get excellent grades, eat home-made food, keep expenses low, become independent and on and on. These kids can't achieve all this for at least 5 years but because of family pressure, they start taking shortcuts, start doing small jobs at the cost of their grades. The family must be reqdy to support the kid for at least 4 years without expecting anything in return if they are coming to Canada for education. Good jobs are not as plentiful as people there think. Small jobs are available but that's not a career. I have been teaching at a university and at an international college. I feel bad for many Indian students who are constantly making wrong decisions because of family pressure.

Such nice video! We moved abroad, worked hard, bought a bful home, got citizenship. Our lives are better in every case but my husband’s parents are so selfish and self centred and so negative. Since they can’t impose their conservative ideology on me here, they can’t control our lives, they keep blaming us for going away. They both earn pensions, are in 60s. Yet play the victim card, and make us feel guilty. Back in India they made my life miserable but they were happy as they could interfere and control.

Hii Sir, I'm a commerce grad from a tier-3 college, from a tier-3 city and I come from a lower middle class family. profile is also average(7/6/6). I can either do something like mba from an Indian b-school and get a job in Tier-1/1.5 city of India or I can go abroad . I'll not say to recommend me one but could you please list down the pros n cons of these two things ?
@@Yippee342 well I would recommend stay in India first and get the job u r telling in the tier 1 or 1.5 city after some work ex of lets say 3 to 4 years you would have enough clarity to whether stay here or move abroad. Pros of doing a Job in tier 1 or 1.5 city in India your touch with family will be frequent, Social development and contact will be there, Life will be easier and slolwy slowly it will compound and u will slowly start getting rich. Cons will be u may be overworked, The salary at first may be less, The relationship with u and yur superiors may be bad, As you r mba then u have to hit your monthly targets, etc. Pros of doing a job in abroad basic needs like food water and air will be very clean, After few years of hard work u will get a lot of money compared to India (ALthough Inflation also exists there), U can fullfill your luxurious needs lets say u have a dream to own a lambo etc etc u can do it easily. Cons of abroad- U stay away from family, maybe in 3 to 4 years you may get to visit your family Trust me everybody thinks and say of visiting their family atleast once every year but it becomes 3 to 4 years, No social development or contact means lets say u tripped and fell down the people will just walk by you you have to get up yourself no one will offer even a hand (depends on country though), High prices of everything like if you want to cook Indian food the Indian ingredients cost a fortune, Last but not the least Never expect help from fellow Indians unless u r a tourist. For some reason Indians who have settled there become very egoistic . Search for Mexicans, Russians, south east Asian people like Pilipino or Vietnamese for any help. Another thing things like upi and all the cheap stuff we take for granted are very costly in abroad especially the internet prices. Hope i was of help
The Answer is Yes, but at first one have to work his ass off in first few years in abroad but later than one will enjoy what he did in his past and one's future generations will thank him .
It’s always so delightful to watch your videos I can relate each and every video of yours to my life and even generally l. You are the wise soul we all need specially the young
Moving abroad is a personal choice. Listening & learning from others people’s experiences only helps people in deciding for or against it. If someone is adamant about going , they’ll always find a way. If someone is hesitant, they will always think twice , will most probably face a dilemma. So best is to look at your own situation finances wise & opportunity wise and then decide. Kisi ke kehne mein kyun aana!

We have been staying outside India for a ling time. The quality of life is better- no traffic jams, work life balance, children education free, medical free ,infrastructure good but we pay high taxes, no maids , things are expensive. Still if you cook at home have a simple lifestyle you can save money. You don't have to go outside to find cost of living of a country. It's available online -google,youtube. If you want to go outside India go for higher studies in STEM subjects or go out if you have a job offer easy to get job if you are in healtcare, or have a STEM degree. We were planning to come back when my child finishes her primary school but again looking at the conditions in India Iam thinking of changing my mind...

Regards.

I would advise in pragmatic way,(if your audience would like take it)

Yes, whose destinty is abroad will do so, and no one can stop them (as it happened in my case)
I feel that one should stay in India and help build our country in whatever way possible. Remember, grass is always greener on the other side.
Worse people after 20 years in the UK dont have much savings and they cannot even buy top class apartments in India so they cannot even return. It is almost stuck situation for expats.

guruji, yesterday, 22-07-2024.
i was returning from my work, which is 10 kms from my home, it took me 2 hours, on route where it hardly takes 30-35 minutes and you know why?
just because it rained from 30 mins.
all roads were waterlogged, drains overflowing and my route back home is througha commercial area of west delhi where you will see expensive banquet halls, premium car brand showrooms and DLF’s most hotselling township.
i was travelling in my SUV, so i was able to easily traverse through waterlogged street and it got me thinking that issues like these play a big role in migration of the urban, well to do youth.

I have been a keen follower of all your channels and a NRI and I really respect you for changing your viewpoint! If a person is earning well and paying his/her taxes honestly what is he/she getting in return? Paying tax on earnings, savings, investments and other indirect taxes ye kya system hai! Clean air, water, security, quality education sub chizo mein hi compromise hai. While we are out of India for wealth creation and not taking citizenship of other country in long run but I really wish that government focus on brain drain issue.
Return on assets is the highest in India. But India is the worst country in the world to be doing a job. For example, it will take you 25 years to double the value of your assets in New Zealand, whereas in India 25 years should see your assets grow fifteen fold.
Because India is the fastest growing economy because of highest population in the world.
Happy Guru Purnima Sir. Thank you
You have not considered inflation and de- dollarization, which are happening in the west. De- dollarization will badly hurt west. One needs to know the time frame and countries which will grow in the future before moving out. From west people are considering Dubai and other other countries due to pay parity.

@@akshyapani the process has already started. Many countries has started business in non dollar currency. Suadi has not renewed the Policy of selling oil in dollars which started in 1971. Many countries are taking out gold from the reserve. de dollarization will take time but not like 20 years.

Thanks for opening my mind during last one year❤
I am really glad you changed your perspective on this topic. Well made video!
Thanks Sir for your comment. It makes a lot of sense. Keep sharing knowledge.
Guruji is exercising strategic flexibility, new thought process.
He doesn't take responsibility of his suggestions haha
This was a very needed video. Hardwork is required for a better life. It's better to work hard in foreign countries than here.
Anyone who wants to go abroad or want to stay in bharat it all depends on der situations.. do not fall fr what other ppl r suggesting..happy Guru Purnima to all.

There is a huge difference in lifestyle. Just don't compare grocery prices. Ultimately if you return back to India after 10-15 years working in abroad, the amount of saving is handsome.
Practical Advice. Idea is to get your life set and have a good life. . All patriotism, nationalism only helps politicians and a select few to make a boat load of money.
I'll be honest, I have been skeptical about your videos and channel, but gradually I've begun to appreciate your views.
This is what a wise mind looks like, the ability to change views based on evidence, hats off sir 🫡🫡🫡

Kuch cheezen hain joh peeche jaake change karta toh accha hota woh bhi bata sakta hun. Mera main thought yehi that ki 100% effort India mn dalke open category mn 50% milega toh kyun na 100% effort kisi aur country mn daale for a few years. US man aisi jagah choose ki joh koi Indians choose nahi karte. This thinking paid off!
Definitely need workshop/webinars to get clarity on multiple angles like- shall those who are doing fine here, are in good jobs & able to save - shall they also try to go?
Such nice video! We moved abroad, worked hard, bought a bful home, got citizenship. Our lives are better in every case but my husband’s parents are so selfish and self centred and so negative. Since they can’t impose their conservative ideology on me here, they can’t control our lives, they keep blaming us for going away. They both earn pensions, are in 60s. Yet play the victim card, and make us feel guilty. Back in India they made my life miserable but they were happy as they could interfere and control.

Moving abroad is a personal choice. Listening & learning from others people’s experiences only helps people in deciding for or against it. If someone is adamant about going , they’ll always find a way. If someone is hesitant, they will always think twice , will most probably face a dilemma. So best is to look at your own situation finances wise & opportunity wise and then decide. Kisi ke kehne mein kyun aana!
