Man... This is the best canon 60d video I've ever watched... amazing! Congrats! I own a 60d but I find it very hard to use it because I'm not a Filmmaker, I'm a teacher, and because I can't use the autofocus... I'm not sure I could understand everything but I will try to do what you said! Thanks man!
Can't believe this camera is 11 years old already. Still reliabe and relevant. People still shooting in 1080p and the quality is still the best until today!
Yeah time flies! One thing I will note though, is that the 1080p is a bit softer than what you would be getting from some newer cameras. But it’s still pretty good considering it will be 11 years old this year
Thank you for this video - I just got back into using my DSLR 60D and bought a new lens. Once I went into video mode - I was shocked why it wasn't autofocusing
The footage in this video is fantastic toy eye. I am going to try your tips for video shooting, after using the 60D primarily for photo, off and on since 2011.
I just got one of these second hand, because I loved the quality from some of the vloggers I follow. However this is my first pro kind of camera and I'm lost, so this video really helped me out on the focus part, thanks dude I really appreciate it and enjoyed your video.
Great video! I have a question: How do you get autofocus in a video with a canon 60D? I have a Canon 60D but i cant get any autofocus while im recording a video. Plz help me!
Hey yeah so other than using the live view autofocus, which I don't recommend since it messes up the video, you basically have to focus it beforehand and if you have to change the focus while recording, you don't really have a choice but to use manual focus. To be honest though, if you will be editing the video later on, it's faster to quickly stop the recording, press the shutter button half way down to focus with AF-quick, and hit record again. Hope it helps!
It is supposed to have a bit of weather resistance but that’s basically it. So far I’ve never had any issue with snow or a mild drizzle but that’s pretty much as far as you’ll want to push it.
Sad to hear the 60D called old. Feel like I just purchased it new a couple years ago. Time flies.
Yep, then you realise that ‘few years’ is about 7 years! As you say, time flies!!!
I still use my Canon 60D to this day. Excellent quality. Full HD is still industry and I'd prefer not to film in 4K unless the situation requires it.

And the lenses you' used... perfect man! I want my videos to look like yours! :)

@@manuelneumann Why my 1080p quality is really bad😢
60D is my first DSLR. Still having a lot of fun with it even if its more than 10 years old. Amazing camera.
me too, im getting into it and its fun
I've just bought it about 3 months ago. 12 years old camera with out date 18 mp. Still love it😀😀😀

I felt the same way when I got mine!
I am very disapointed 60D no autofocus while recording. If i know that, i dont buy it...but for photo, very excellence
Wow, thank you so much! Thought about finally upgrading it, but with 90% photo and 10% video it really doesn't make any sense. 😊
Thanks, I'm really glad the video helped you :)

great help i just picked it up from a trash pile and I'm excited to use it
Sweet hope you have lots of fun with it!
Thanks for this video manuel. I had a hard time setting my canon 60d on autofocus. Your video is very informative.
Thank you!
Thanks for the video! Love those b roll shots. What lens were you using for those?
Hi Charles, I use a Sigma 17-50mm f2.8
Great tips. Enjoyed the shots too. 👍
I have a canon 60 d and i feel sad that I can’t use it properly
wort it 60d or 70d ?
It is this weird angle of you walking forward but us walking backwards.
Where is the magnification button?
what aperture are you using while talking in front of the camera? would love to know your video settings in picture style
I using the lens at f2.8 to get that shallow depth of field. In terms of picture style, I don't think I was using anything special, just the default
what lens you are use in this video
I was using the Sigma 17-50mm f2.8

@@manuelneumann Thanks for the help! =)
Which one is good for videography canon 60d or 700d?
I have never used the 700d so I couldn't tell you, sorry!
Did you use gimbal?
No I currently don't have a gimbal for my dslr cameras. (Would love to get one though)
I was upset to discover - AF of 60D useless to do dolly zoom effect (((
Yeah you pretty much don’t have a choice but to focus it manually
good, if the camera is hit by snow is not damaged?
So far I haven’t had any issues with snow or rain getting into the camera
@@manuelneumann thank
Byee canon 60d
is it weather shielded? or water splash proof??
It is supposed to have a bit of weather resistance but that’s basically it. So far I’ve never had any issue with snow or a mild drizzle but that’s pretty much as far as you’ll want to push it.
