Even after all this time of watching you teach your boys, I'm constantly amazed at their innate knowledge of what and how you build and create. YOU ARE TEACHING OUR FUTURE...AND YOU ARE DOING AN AMAZING JOB!
I really wish Ben would wear safety glasses when he's working, it only takes a very small splinter to do some major damage, but OMG Buggy when she was filming. She got the pumpkins in shot perfectly and her 'good afternoon beautiful people' was soooooo cute. The way you raise you children is beautiful and so positive for them, such a joy to watch.
All of your children are so full of character, but for her size Buggy just 'has it going on'. As others have said, when she was filming and said ''good afternoon beautiful people, it's a nice quiet day'' was just heart melting. I also feel that she gives Cher a run for her money in the number of costume changes in one video, lol Your chicken tractor looks fab, and I'm sure 'future you' will be very thankful that you've made it.
I used to think the boys would have a shadow when buggy got big enough but nope it's papa lol she is your shadow that girl is going to love to cook and build and garden and take care of animals for sure lol
My goodness ❤Buggy is so cute in her filming production debut 😊 and such a monkey too... love hearing her cute little voice welcoming all the beautiful people 💕... nice job on the new build,👍 resembles all our runs and combo of my husband's last turkey/chicken tractor. So glad to see people work with their hands and make use of what they have..watching Ben bend the pipe reminded me of how my husband built our 20x34 foot greenhouse in 2004. So proud of you folks😊😊keep up the true tradition of farming and homesteading 😊
Buggy is so cute and knows how to mimic Mom and dad with the camera. The chicken tractor looks great and solid. I thought I smelled the pear mince sauce!?! Meg is a cooking wonder. 💞
Great job filming the pumpkins Buggy. Great job to everyone else too. Can't leave anyone out, because I know everyone pulls their weight on the Hollar Homestead. Nice work y'all 😊
I have been binge watching you all for about a month! I love you all! Your story is so inspiring to me; being a 64 year old. I would have loved that homesteading, homeschooling life style. Instead I took the divorced route after 20 years. Keep on keeping on… it makes my heart happy to watch your mutually respected relationship with each other and with your kids❤️❤️❤️
I am looking at my 62nd birthday coming up, like you I would have loved some land and been self sufficient, sadly it wasn't to be as I suffered a broken back and ended in a wheelchair so just keeping things together for my boys and husband took all my energy. I still managed to grow a small amount of veg and my boys loved nothing more than picking the corn and eating it 10 minutes later. I have just moved into an adapted bungalow and tried to see what I could grow this year, it hasn't been a great success but lessons learned for next year 😊 x
Love love love the blog, Buggy filming, Megs humour showing through the editing and the finished product of the chicken tractor and canning. What a productive couple of days!
Ben I know how you feel. My dad was a welder by trade and metal alchemist. He had rental properties, plus has 5 acres in Florida. It broke my heart getting rid of all his tools. He truly was a Jack of all trades. You remind me of him. I love watching you and your family❣️Much love to your family❤️
If ever i had faith in any of the people on UA-cam to make something when you want to save your funds it is Ben Hollar & Meg Hollar, and having the inventiveness!!
Thanks so much for telling us about all the uses of the roasting pan . And having Buggy introduce us to the pumpkins put a smile on my face and heart.❤😊
When I was about Buggy's size, my dad was building our first house. He gave me a tack hammer, my first real tool. He started a 16 penny nail in the floor and told me to work on it. I now know it was to keep up with where I was lol. I was so proud of that hammer and helping Daddy
Buggy is precious! Her little voice was just what I needed to hear today! That girl is going to take this world by storm! Each of your kids are AWESOME and you all are such a blessing to each of us that follow you... ❤❤
Your little girl “the baby” is absolutely precious!!! I always wait to see what she is going to say or do. She loves helping her Mommy and Daddy. Your boys are amazing to two younger ones always by Daddy side. Great family!
Exactly what I said when I was hollering at the screen.....unfortunately I still have to remind myself that the screen does not hear and does not care. 😜
@@cherylinoklahoma9624 More anything is more weight. And he has as much extra lumber lying around as conduit. This time he bought a bunch of scrap metal, last time he bought a bunch of scrap WOOD. And ANY way he extends the height will take more hardware cloth. Either solution works, it just comes down to how you're oriented. He's a metalworker, his first thought was "add more pipe". Whereas my background is in carpentry, so my first thought was "add more wood". Either way is equally valid. I never SAID he did it WRONG, just differently than I would have. I was merely giving him another option like I expressly said in the first two words of my original comment.
Another great video brought to us from The Hollar Homestead💜! Ben, you’re true Pioneer Man! You have something set in your mind to build and you make changes as you go to make it your own!! As usual, Meg is doing her best to make her delicious sauce and the pear chutney! Cooking dinner in the oven and helping Ben with the chicken coop🤗🤗!
Hearing Buggie's sweet voice just melts my heart! "Good afternoon noon beautiful people. It's a nice, great day"!!!🥰 How sweet she is!!! Meg, your spaghetti sauce looks beautiful and will be great with pasta this winter! That's a nice neighbor to drop off some ripe pears!! Nice chicken tractor
Okay you two. I don’t comment on this platform BUT I love watching you make meals. Your my inspiration of what to make for myself. I’ve been watching you looking for property. You all have come a long way baby. I could imagine it can be humdrum. Not on my end. I appreciate you and enjoy watching you do whatever. I adore you all ❤
I have a 1950s vintage Westinghouse roaster oven. I inherited it from my mom who inherited it from her mom, who inherited it from her mom, who inherited it from her mom. I guess you get the picture. It is still working great!
Little Miss Buggie is going to be a YT star soon. She already has some great skills and sure knows how to make our hearts melt. Your parenting brings out the best in all of your children. Kudos to you for all that you do do well 💛🍀💛
Hey Hollers, I'm so glad you found a better way to make your sauce! Those Roasters sure keep the 🔥 down in the House as well👌. Nice Job Ben and helpers🎉. Lots of good smells means Mums on a roll 🤗! JO JO IN VT 💞
Meg, that is how my daughter does her sauce. I have been looking for a used one as I'm out and about. I am not prepared to spend big bucks on a new one 😊 Greatly enjoyed your video and Buggies, too. Precious children you have.
Mincemeat made with sultanas, candied peel, suet and other fruits served as individual mince pies are an historic treat here in the UK, associated with Christmas and often served warm with cream or rum butter..yummy.... Your pear version sounds intriguing..😊👍🇬🇧
Oooohhh, I wonder if quick batches of tomatoes in the instant pot would work before milling and putting in the roaster. I'm gonna try it! Thanks for always sharing the good and bad realities happening in the kitchen and out in the yard. It keeps me willing to try again or try new ways after my many failures. ❤😊
Awesome episode Chicken Tractor looked really good and it is always a blessing to watch Meg cook I Know you Know Ben you got a treasure when you got her.
Love to see your children hanging around Dad building the chicken tractor. The kitchen is hopping with such wonderful foods. Your pear mince sounds delicious good💗💚 Enjoyed your video~~
I'm 69 and Meg is bringing back alot of homemaking memories about our mothers preparing our food. We had a country stand across from us. Got alot of fruit from him. He knew mom let nothing go to waste. Kerr or ball books came out and mostly knew by heart. A mother of 5 running around like buggy. Ben you are teaching your sons alot of skills and how to do without running to purchase store items. Wonderful parents. Blessing
Yes to the roaster oven. I gave mine away when the kids flew the coup. Do not use it much but it saves on heating up your house when turning on your oven the summer. I had to go another one.
Have you considered screwing angle iron onto both sides of the bottom boards? It would give the bottom boards some protection from wear and rot and probably slide easier. Looks great. I might just steal your plans when it comes my time to build one.
you and your family always seem so happy working cooking and even the kids doing chores. gotta love seeing that. most kids now adays dont even know what outside or manual work looks like.
How wonderful to be able to cook like that !! Buggy will be the same as Momma !! The boys will take after Dad and maybe even help cook too!! What a special blessed family !!
I just love you guys! Ben, you have the best, I mean THE BEST wife/BFF/Partner ANYONE could ask for! And Meg-you are one hella cook! You freaking amaze me! Ben you are pretty handy too. That was pretty nice of the neighbor to give ya those pears. Neighbors should be like that. 😊
Meg: If you have a steam juicer you can use it for tomatoes! It will remove most of the water from the tomatoes. The pulp on top can be put through the mil and will come out thick. You won't have to cook the sauce down as long to thicken it.
OMG ! I hear Buggy say "hello beautiful people, it's a nice quiet day". So cute ! Well Done Buggy
Loved this part of the video!
It was SOO adorable!
Sooooo cute!!
OMGOODNESS!! She's the absolute most adorable little girl.❤

❤❤❤Buggy totally melted my heart when she was filming and said,"good afternoon beautiful people, it's a nice quiet day" ❤❤❤
Love how Buggy was filming! The world from toddler height. ❤
The world according to Buggy.
Yes, the thought occurred to me of having a Buggie cam every once in a while, "A day in the life of ==" and let her narrate it to.
Great minds..... Ditto!
A Bug's eye view!
Best part of my day, the Hollar Homestead posted a video! Buggie did great filming pumpkins!
Buggie hosting the blog was the cutest thing ever!❤
❤❤❤ My heart has officially MELTED!
Buggy filming and saying “Good afternoon beautiful people”
in that adorable voice ❤❤❤
Mine too! She'll be taking over the show any day now😊

Its silly perhaps but I want to see the chickens in Ben's creation. Never get tired of Meg's magic in the kitchen.
That was a genius, conduit bender. you created!
Walking into that kitchen and you say, "Ya-know, my life is blessed."
Oh my heart! The "good afternoon, beautiful people" was the most precious thing EVER!
Ben, you made your own bender with the scrap iron you just bought. Bravo young man! I love watch your builds.😊
If there was a channel I would want smellovision it would be yours for Meg’s kitchen!!!!

Buggy did an awesome job filming the pumpkins. And to hear her say ‘good afternoon beautiful people’ oh how I melted ❤

Never a dull moment with the Hollar family! Buggy sure has grown up.
You seem a lot happier since you started the shop talk Ben! It shows in these videos!
The very best education you could provide for your children. So proud of you both.
"Good afternoon beautiful people" - Oh. My. Word. Melted my heart. Kiddos sure do learn by example.
Yeah, that was adorable!
Buggy is so cute and knows how to mimic Mom and dad with the camera. The chicken tractor looks great and solid. I thought I smelled the pear mince sauce!?! Meg is a cooking wonder. 💞
Missed my bye from Buggy! She is so adorable I look forward to seeing her.
Buggy did a better job filming than 1/2 those on the Hill in Texas!!! Such a sweet voice, articulate & no dramamine needed! Wow! I love her!
Great job filming the pumpkins Buggy. Great job to everyone else too. Can't leave anyone out, because I know everyone pulls their weight on the Hollar Homestead. Nice work y'all 😊

Fabricating a thing always takes longer than I planned but I learn a ton and enjoy the process, even when frustrating ❤
Many hands make light work. It’s great to see family working together
Love Buggy's camera work.....she's fabulous at narration too!!! Thank you for your vlogs Hollars love and blessings xjx ❤❤❤

Your family is amazing and little Buggy just warms this old mans heart. I enjoyed her camera skills, she is going to be your new camera person 😊❤😊
O-gees,"hello beautiful people..." was so precious. Your children are devine!
I just bought a roaster pan a couple weeks ago. It has been a game changer in making my sauce
The pear chutney would be wonderful with a pork loin.
You can tell the true cooks by the look of their Dutch oven ,if it is “dirty” it has seen some good food .
Buggy is the cutest little girl ever. Such a joy to see in your videos.
Oh my word! Buggy!! And I love how Ben is teaching the boys how to make and fix things. ❤

Nothing to say but: You guys are awesome 🤩 luv ya Be safe 😘
Another option would be to add about a foot more wood to each side. That would bring the arch up high enough.
Exactly what my husband said.
Exactly what I said when I was hollering at the screen.....unfortunately I still have to remind myself that the screen does not hear and does not care. 😜
More weight. More lumber. More hardware cloth. So: much cheaper, quicker, and practical to extend the conduit.

My grandmother made delicious warm mince pie in perfect crust throughout the fall, with heavy cream on top.
Beautiful little Princess Buggie is as hard a worker inside and outside as all the family

Buggy, filming pumpkins, oh my gosh, that sweet girl! Love the chicken tractor.
WOW, WOW, and WOW!!! Thank You.
I love okra, my three plants are producing well enough to keep me supplied in snacks every other day. Yummy!!
Love your channel and family❤❤❤
I believe most, if not all the other subs will agree with this statement. "Buggie Cam" is now a MUST for all future vids. Be blessed.
Gooood evening from central Florida! Hope everyone has a great night!
when I have massive amounts of sauce to transfer to jars, I start with my 4 cup pyrex measuring cup. Sharing my tip with the canners here😉
Meg. You seem to be an amazing cook. Makes me hungry just seeing your food
The pear chutney looked really good
I have always liked Jason's design, and turkeys will appreciate the extra room. (Millie watch @ :37)
