Dam bredda this is an absolute smart idea that actually makes sense and doesn’t overwhelm anyone’s skill level 🤙🏻

That's good because my skill level gets overwhelmed pretty easy. thanks for watching it Jesse.

Pretty gosh dang clever! Much better than having your buddy hold on tight while you wing it with a drill

Especially if you've drilled holes in all your buddys' index fingers next to the top knuckle. Some of the dumber ones are good for a couple of accidents, but they all learn after a bit.

Hi Tim ! Thanks for the video. I'm often drilling the center of dowels, so I found your video very interesting. I will try your method. I try to drill down the center of dowels by starting with a smaller drill bit than I will need, and then drill a hole down the center with my hand drill, while letting the dowel spin in my hand. Then, I gradually work my way up to the size of drill bit I need. This is not a perfect method, but it seems to work fairly well. I'm making stands for whirligigs, so it's important for the mounting rod and stand to be square. If things go real sideways and things are obviously crooked, I find that you can enlarge the hole slightly until you can square things up and then make up the difference in the hole with epoxy glue. Warm greetings from Wishram..

Thanks for watching. I hope it works for you. I checked out your channel. Your whirlygigs are incredible. The Crowing Rooster is not only a really nice piece of art, but the engineering is pretty danged impressive. I'll have to spend some time on your videos to learn how they work. Very cool stuff.

I know it's simple but sometimes simple is best. Thanks for watching it.

Nice adaptation!!! I’m trying to do the same for 6 foot closet rods in order to install 1/4-20 screw inserts. Ideas?

Sorry it took so long to get back. I was out of town for a few days. I have a sollution I think will work. I'll try it out and if it works, I'll make a video of it. I'll let you know when I post it.

Boys and girl 😅 Is that me? I think that’s me. In this moment anyway.

Whatever you are at the moment, thanks for watching. More importantly, you have an amazing voice. It's not only beautiful, but very expressive. Sometimes the singer tells the story as well as the lyrics, if that makes any sense, and you do it very well.
