When Chris Harris Meets Alex Roy: U.K. Part 1 of 4 - /LIVE AND LET DRIVE

- Alex travels to the UK to meet up with DRIVE co-host Chris Harris. As it turns out, DRIVE's most popular host alongside it's most controversial one get along famously as Chris shows off a bit of his homeland's best driving roads in a Renault Clio RS 200 Cup and a Porsche GT3 3.8.

"Everything I learned about the U.K. was from an amazing documentary called Brave Heart." Fucking brilliant...
It’s a fucking stupid statement made by a moron.
I actually was waiting for this meet to happen and I'm looking forward watching the rest of the episodes.
"Everything I know about the United Kingdom I learned from an amazing documentary called Braveheart"
"so far this is the best driving road I've seen in England" But it's not, you're in wales, a different country.
Two guys who are not only journalists but genuine car fans - gotta love them - doesn't mean I have to agree with them but you gotta love the passion, the desire to express an opinion and convey their perspective on motoring.
This is brilliant, it shows Alex and Chris different personality, yet they can just talk and talk. Cause deepdown, we're car enthusiasts.
HEHE It's Alex Roy :)
He is the reason I bought my old E39 M5 :D
Clio 200 Cup...epic piece of kit.
It's funny that people don't understand that Alex is just a massive troll. Don't take anything he says seriously lol.
Sounds like a pathetic trait to have tbh.
@@Speedwelltuning Considering he's the one with the money and the people who like him, I'd say sarcasm is a pretty imp trait tbh. It's why people used to watch alex roy's show.
Alex, where'd you go! Come back, drive is not the same without you.
Chris harris himself is the new top gear.
Nicely done guys - Good dynamic from two genuine car guys. Life would be dull if we were all the same.
Awesome - pure perfection. Thank you
Just when I thought this channel couldn't get any more interesting, your bring Chris Harris along for the ride.
Now that is a group I'd like to go to the 'pub' with!
Chris you hit the nail on the head, and you ARE the man to give us the reviews.
I live only few miles from this location and drive this awsum road all the time, hopefully one day i will see Chris Harris filming there one day as I love watching his you tube channel.
Veal? Sheep?!
Superb. The combo of culture, taste and crossed-up banter I hoped would materialise. What joy.
Awesome awesome awesome. Cant wait for parts 2 and 3!
Great video, very enjoyable eavesdropping on their banter
Great show looking fwd to part 2 Thumbs up.
/DRIVE is my favorite car culture show. Hands down. Even over a TG. And it's because of stuff like this and Chris Harris. Thank you.
Lol, so funny .. cant wait for the next episode, when is it? Cause, there is more!
I love Chris. such a talented guy. AND, he built arguably the most desirable car Iv ever laid eyes on. The 1971 green 911 ST he spent 2 years on. Just a brilliant Porsche. Chris rulz!
This is a brilliant deep video about the love of cars.
Im glad i stumbled on these videos a few weeks ago
'I was just beginning to like the guy and then he said that he bought a TT cause of its looks' 😆
Can't wait part 2
I would love to see the entire discussion, I loved it.
Love the vid! Seems like no matter where i go and who i meet as long as they are a car guy you will always have good conversation.
Just by the title I can tell this is gonna be great xD
can somebody please tell me the title of the song that plays in the intro and while alex is talking??
Can anyone tell me the song that starts at the 48second mark please?
Alex, Chris, cool cars and fun times, but also the intro track is so catchy I don't know why.
gt3 being driven in that landscape is just the definition of perfection
Love the tunes on this episode!
can you give the name of the soft drum n bass track in this video?
Loving these series's with Alex Roy. Would it be possible for you guys to do a few videos on public tuning? I know you guys do the Tuned series with Matt what I love but it would be great to see some amiture tuning?
Love the work, keep it up guys.
Thanks for that. It certainly is a beautiful part of the country. :-)
I enjoyed this series.
amazing conversation at the end
somebody knows what the first song played is called? thanks in advanced
Chris...never given you a thumbs up before...well deserved!!!!!!!
This is very likely, my favorite episode of your show.
whats that song name that popped in the beginning ,00:35 to 00:47 to be exact.
Veal?????? All I can see are sheep, and thus mutton or lamb.
he makes a better writer then a tv personality or he's just another rich duschbag ny'r
Yes Chris and Carlos from Motortrend are my favorite reviewers just have to watch their show every week.
this was great
It does indeed, one of my favourite roads in the world is that from Llangynog to Bala, having recently purchased an E46 clubsport upon finishing university, I enjoyed that very road far too much last weekend!
Awesome meet up guys.
I have been watching Drive from the beginning and have my favorites, Chris being the main one. Alex has occasionally rubbed me the wrong way, because he's in-your-face and sometimes a bit abrasive. However, I really enjoyed this video and could absolutely see myself BSing with him about cars and life, & I've always found him a charismatic dude with a ton of fascinating stories to tell. I'm looking forward to the next two parts of this series and will go back to some of his other eps as well.
what's the song in the beginning?
I really enjoyed this video. Chris is a very interesting chap. :)
whats the song at the start?
This type of video wouldn't work with many reviews but with Chris and Alex its very entertaining
Stop. Calling. Sheep. Veal!
Its. A. Joke!
It's. And I don't think he was joking.
IdFightMyDad I don't think he is either. If it's a joke it's not very good.
I know. once was maybe forgivable, but the fact that he said it twice, and in the *overdubbed commentary*, no less (meaning he had the opportunity to correct himself after the fact).... jesus, man. You don't deserve Veal if you don't know what the fuck it is.
Baaaaaaaah
Anyone knows the name of the first song?
Living the dream these two guys are!
Chris, you got it right about car reviews. Great show Alex, you make me laugh.
Alex - your show is my favorite show on drive!
I've got a mk6 GTI! Absolutely love it. Hot Hatches ftw!
When two legends meet.
Great Video.
whats that music anyway guys?
Such a good episode.
whats the Doug Score of that Veal tho?
perfect music choice for the opening
what's the song from 0:34 - 0:47?
when can we see part 2 and 3 ?
but it was good to watch the video. I have also loved cars since I was a child, but unfortunately I'm not on Drive... but I do still own a 205 GTI. The way you and Chris were talking about cars reminded me of me and my mates so all good stuff.
This was very entertaining. I was surprised how much I enjoyed this video, and not because Chris Harris was on it but because we see a different side of Alex; a more humble, approachable human being. Not that your other videos were bad, but there was a lot of talking in this video and I didn't find myself wondering when I was going to get to see actual cars driving around.
E24 M5... ?
Its the old m5
@@davidpineda645 No, the E28 was the first M5. The E24 was the M6.
o.m.g. Chris Harris, my fave car reviewer/journalist, and Alex Roy, my Gumball and rally driving inspiration (also have read his fantastic book), together on the same video??? THANK YOU! :)
what color is the Clio? never seen it anywhere else...
Love these guys
Whats the name of the intro song? :D
awesome video
Great video
"an amazing documentary called braveheart"
holy crap i loled xD
Alex Roy is the reason I bought an E39 M5 :D
wheres parts 2, 3 and 4?
Intro song?
"Could go on all night"... please do. This is amazing.
Glad someone else picked up on this.
The music throughout the intro and buildup to 0:47 was very pleasant.
The "drive" guys are new to me. And I'm happy. Yay ! Up there with top gear. Real petrolheads. Proper job lads.
Welcome to Wales... Know those roads well a favourite of top gear when filming.
MORE. MORE. MORE PLEASE
I literally could not have put it better myself, that comment was quite the literary wonderment I must say! And yes, I'd like to think of Mr Harris as somewhat of an idol. I too have a particular affiliation with doing skids on some of the fantastic roads Wales has to offer..
I hope Chris Harris is on Top Gear, he's so interesting in what he says, his opinions etc. If he does go to Top Gear though, I hope he continues with his long in depth chilled out videos.
We also have the Mazda Speed3 here in the US. That's a fun, affordable hot hatch. Looks pretty good when cruising down the road as well.
Yay! Alex Roy is back!
Whatever happened to "small" hatchbacks..? That Clio looks like an SUV parked next to the GT3 at the beginning..
I now have the rear seats folded in my 200 :). Cheers Chris!!
I was so excited when I saw that Alex went over to England to hang out with Chris Harris, and this doesn't dissapoint! I would love to play third wheel with these guys!! Beer, great conversation, and fast cars!!
They were in Wales! Not England!
its not too bad, quite interesting look into why and how he does things
where are parts 2-4?
part 2 ?
I think the best part of this video is the sheep review! hahaha! that was funny!
Hi Drive team could you please post what music you used in this video please:-), I'm enjoying the episode. Thank in advance
It says part 1.. Where is the rest??
