I've been a fan of Avenged for more than 10 years now. I remember loving the music but I also remember what made me like them sm is that I found them so attractive as a teenager xd.
Afterlife is the next song you should do by them.

I love seeing new people checking out A7X!! I have been listening to them since 2001ish. They are my favorite band. If you like them you gotta check out buried alive, bat country, exist (it helps to watch the music video to understand the song/instrumental), save me, nobody, so far away and nightmare. If you are squeamish stay away from a little piece of heaven (also a fav of mine) I do interpret that one a bit differently. I love your reaction to them so far and im gonna subscribe in the hopes you will check them out some more. The drummer isnt the original drummer (RIP Jimmy) but the one you see here is also not the one they decided to go with.
This is actually my favorite band for 6+ years.
Thanks for checking them out, I personally don't love this song as much as others, as it's more of a radio/mainstream friendly metallica esc. Sound, that I think doesnt suit them (tho it is good, don't get me wrong)
Ofcourse this is my opinion, and I know many might recommend "Nightmare" next, and its a good track, but similar to my critique of this track.
Personally, I'd recommend these 3 songs for you as more of a gateway into their discography, if you will: "So Far Away (although also quite mellow, means a lot being a tribute to their deceased drummer R.I.P. The Rev) and Critical Acclaim (Original or prefferably the Live in LBC version, a great display of their live concerts, this being their most legendary)
The LBC concert is literally amazing imo, and shows all the boys in all their glory, esp daddy Matt Shadows (lead vocals), please check out any of the tracks from that concert, it's fully upscaled 4k reuploaded to UA-cam.
