I do not know much about this band, and I don’t know the name of the guitarist…but to me, his style reminds me of Nuno Bettancourtof Extreme…..and that is high praise indeed.

"Seize the Day" would be a great second song to react to, especially for non, or new metalheads. It shows off a completely different range and vibe to the band with it being a great rock ballad.

Hard to believe you can like Buried Alive, one of the best songs ever written, and also The Stage, which I can't even listen to. Too prog. I don't want Tool. I want A7X. They are a rock band and that is what got them to where they are today.

Hi there lovely folks. My gorgeous daughter introduced me to this band maybe 10 years ago. I influenced her music taste through my love of Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd on to Rush , Iron Maiden et al. Now that I've bored you with that what I love about this band Avenged Sevenfold is they SOUND EUROPEAN - not just thrashing guitars and stuff - this is leaning towards a thinking man's metal. First time commenter and another awesome video. A7X are one of my favourite bands and I think since you brought him up, the next reaction you should do with these guys should be "So Far Away" the music video as it was a tribute to their drummer, The Rev.
It's an emotional one coz these guys have been friends since childhood which you'll notice if you do end up doing a reaction video to it, so his loss affected the rest of them massively.

They had one of the most talented drummers in his generation (The Rev) and after he died, people thought that they were never play again as band, but the've made some amazing albuns, even after he passed. First I'd like to point out I love watching people react to A7X. They been my favorite band since there 2nd album "Waking the Fallen" way back in 2002ish. They always push themselves and the boundaries or metal. They aren't afraid to challenge the status quo and do something different. Every album is unique and totally different from the one before it.
That being said and I'm confident "The Fallen" will agree, that their best songs are NOT their radio/mainstream hits. There's many hidden gems on each album that are far better songs than their singles.
May I recommend these high energy songs to help get a true idea of their style and showcases how they challenge the status quo of metal:
