11:51 This drummer (arin ilejay) is no longer with them (he only played for them on this album and on some extra tracks like "Carry On")
He was replaced by Brooks Wackerman who you can hear on their latest album "The Stage" which came out in 2016 and which featured a very different style to the "usual" A7X sound.
On "so far away" drum legend Mike Portnoy helped them out on drums

The Stage is a whole new version of A7X, the difference is crazy. I have always thought of their progression kind of like Disturbed. Every album is always so different. But always good.
@@TheRedAnvil40 What's funny is you can tell when someone does not know what they are talking about and go only on what they read on the internet. I saw a video on here the other day where they said in the video that Hail to the king was not well received as they changed style dramatically on it, and returned to form on The Stage. I could not agree less with them. Hail to the king, while not as good as previous releases, was far more like classic AX7 than The Stage was, and I think the comparitively low sales of The Stage kinda show that.

I disagree with hail to the king album, only a few good songs. The stage is better but not by much.

Hail to the king better than The Stage? I'm sorry, but that is the worst thing I've read in a long time. Hail to the King is easily their worst album. The Stage was a great Album with most of their best work so far.

You definitely need to check out their live acoustic at the Grammys show, especially roman Sky ,they also do hail to the king ,so far away,part of exist and a rolling stone song. There current drummer ( since 2014) is Brooks Whackermen.

One of my favorite songs of theirs! Love the intro, the timing of the song, the guitar solo, just love this song, makes me smile every time!!
The stage is a great album, but if you’re on Hail to the King at the moment Crimson Day and Acid rain are great.
I always loved coming home on this album. I feel like that one is always underrated
I personally really like Hail, I think everyone kinda dislikes it because of Arins drumming. And that they took inspiration from Metallica for like 3 songs, it’s probably my 1st or 2nd favorite album. 🤷🏼♂️

City of Evil was their best album in my opinion, but this album is an insanely close second. This particular song is their "Entersandman" in my opinion, every knows it and everyone loves it, but their best stuff is on the City of Evil album

Arin Ilejay was the drummer in this video, he was in the band from 2011-2015 I believe. He was replaced by their current drummer Brooks Wackerman. If you want a longer A7x song, "Save Me" and "Exist" are both good. (Although be warned Exist is 15 minutes long).
lmao so the whole concept of this album was to do kind of a tribute to all their favourite artists from when they were kids, stuff like ACDC, metallica, guns n roses, so thats why shadows hair was like that and why they had a more simplistic style of songwriting 😊

Congrats on the channel! Been watching you for some time and I really like your energy and ethusiasm. I got some things to point out:
1 - After the Rev, they had 3 more drummers: Mike Portnoy (from Dream Theater, but only for the Nightmare album tour), Arin Ilejay (for the Hail to the King album) and Brooks Wackerman (current).
2 - If you want to hear longer A7X songs, they got plenty that are over 8 minutes. I STRONGLY recommend Save Me, but there's also M.I.A., Exist, etc.
3 - 2:05 What the hell was that? xD Someone should immortalize it lol

As always, I enjoy your reactions. What id personally like to see more is also an reaction to the lyrics. A7X is known to have some pretty deep/good lyrics. That is if you have any thoughts on them^^.
As for the drummer. This was Arin Ilejay. As i understand A7X was looking for a drummer by having a "fan" competition. You had to prove yourself and the winner can come into the band. Arin was alright but not the part that the band was looking for. I dont know if he was technically inefficient but it has been said in the interviews that the drum parts are more simple because of the new drummer. While Arin wanted to go nuts on the drum kit the band was like "nope, keep it simple". Now they have (looks permanent) Brooks Wackerman. The closest thing you can get to the second Rev as he was also his friend. Dont know how close however. Hes very good at what he does, i just hope he stays with A7X.
Since we are doing war stuff (its all the rage right now). i would reccommend to go with A7X - The Stage which also talks about war and how ugly mankind is in general. Just to keep the theme going.

Love your reactions! I would recommend a longer song for your next Avenged Sevenfold reaction. Save me from the nightmare album. The whole album was written while The Rev was alive, but it’s the former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy that helped the band record it, and tour it right after. If you end up enjoying the song Save Me I strongly recommend the band Dream theater for reactions further down the road. They have been my favourite band since I was 8 and no band has overtaken the first place since.

This band literally got me into hard/alternative rock. Slipknot got me into heavy metal.
Some of their fans don't like this album, but they are nuts. This whole album was great, and Hail to the King is one of my favorite songs ever for pure 100 percent metal awesomeness.

Just for information, that album is changed transition from heavy metal to classic metal like black sabbath and AC/DC, and Hail To The King song is written special for M Shadow children, but sadly the drummer Arin Ilejay has resign from the band, and now the drummer position has replace by Brooks Wackerman in "The Stage Albums"👍
