Very nice. I appreciate the lack of huge silk screened logos.
As a proud owner of the conical dark china, this is easily one of the best chinas I’ve ever played.
Comparable to a Zildjian K Dark China at all??
@@timmyboy9140 In tone it's somewhat similar, much darker and earthier than the K Dark. It's also much washier where as the K is a bit brighter with more cut.
Is it quieter than an average China?
@@QuickestQuickChop it kind of depends on what china you're comparing it to. It isn't incredibly loud but by no means quiet. Definitely very washy which lets it open up easily and decay quickly.
@@JDWalkerDrummer looking for something more quiet than wuhans normal China
I bought the 21" ride and 15" hats on a recommendation of an old jazz player. I couldn't be happier with them. They are well within my budget and the best sounding ride and hats I've ever owned. Looking forward to getting a few more to finish out my kit.
That China is just a wicked sound I have never heard of before explosive but controlled.
Wuhan Western are not a beginner series. They are great sounding B20 hand hammered cymbals.
100% agree...the "New Traditional" Wuhans are right up there with the big name hand hammered cymbals.
Oh so how I've waited for this review! These are going to be my backline pair of cymbals for church
Great choice!!
I’m looking at these for church. How do you like them?
Everyone’s talking about the china, and rightly so, but I immediately took a huge liking to the hats. Crisp attack, solid sustain, and far cheaper than HHX or Paiste 2002s. Will probably pick up the hats when I can.
yo, real talk! Those hats are delightful. I also kinda freaked out over the 17” and 18” crashes.
@@justinsantora9200 I bought the 20" crash and kinda prefer it over my 20" Byzance crash 😅
Fax
Tbh they sound exactly like the K Sweets and for just over half the price too
Def gonna try a pair out at some point
The Hi Hat sounds so good!
@@aryehhaller100% my thought.
that 18’” crash is a standout imo
Thanks for the review, you guys nailed it as always 😌👌
Two things I learned from this video:
1) Those crashes and chinas are absolute money for the price-point.
2) I'm thinking my long love affair with maple is just about played out. I need a new, classy yet trashy birch babe to play around with.
I love my birch kit. With great heads and my lifelong obsession with tunings, I'd put it up against any maple kit out there and most people wouldn't know the difference, or think it was maple. They have that punch maple doesn't have imo.
Excellent review DCP! Those crashes are wonderful, love the 19"!
Would have liked to see you try them in a jazz/fusion scenario. They sound great in my opinion ! Great review as usual.
they seem to have a soft feel to them and a nice fizzy aspect that would fill indie/singer songwriter type things really well
I love B20 alloy cymbals and acoustic drums. I appreciate the demonstration as usual and love every sound of those cymbals

Wow! Such a sonic change. That 10” splash has a lot of Meinl Extra Dey quality to it. All the crashes are money!!! I also love the conical China. Very cool stuff.
Not ditching my meinl or Bosphorous setups but these are tasty
I've been into Wuhan cymbals for many, many years. I just bought a Koi 12" splash. LOVE IT! I'm looking forward to buy a ride soon.
That British drum kit looks stunning. Not to mention the sound!! Love the look!! Shane with no shoes needs to happen more often. That china is perfect.
Crashes are nice, honestly, but those chinas are still my favorite. Also now I want a British drum company snare and kick drum cause that kit sounded sick!
Holy mother of Earth. Those sound a lot like K sweet series. Unbelievable sound.
Seriously, very impressed!!! That China is frigging gorgeous
They sound like the K sweet or HHX series. Too expensive though, most people will go for As or AAXs since those cymbal packs are actually cheaper. They should've priced these closer to Zildjan's S series, then they would sell like hotcakes.
how not to love the Wuhan Chinas? Still miss my pair of 18 inchers long gone due to monthly bills...the polished / brilliant Conical sounded more cutting, more to my taste, btw.
Also the big crashes sounded good for rock music...kudos to Cardinal. Thank you guys for the great review.
Affordable options are always good. Sound pretty solid across the line - good to see another brand entering the fray.
Please do some covers with these!
Try on classic country, modern country, jazz, pop, gospel, etc...
Id love to hear them in the mix with other musicians so we can know how they blend in the song.
FINALLY IVE BEEN WAITING FOR SO LONG!!!
Splashes arrived today, took 2 months but that's the south African postal service for you....absolutely awesome 👌 thanks team at drum center.....ps thanks for the stickers
Great to hear!
The finish on those drums reminded me of that one off cardboard drumset some company made a while back, so dope!
I adore my DCP Zildjian A Sweet cymbal pack. Won't be getting rid of those. But I DEFINITELY see a Wuhan Conical China in the near future. That is the EXACT sound I want in a China cymbal. Thanks guys.
Love the sound of the drums and the cymbals
Nice sounding cymbals.....
Now that kit,wow!
Sublime sounds, especially those crashes and the hats
I have to say that I love each cymbal. I think that the ride is my favorite. It sits in the music, it's dark, and buttery. I love what Cardinal Percussion is doing. Heck, I love their Attack drum heads, too. I'm turning into a Cardinal guy.
Even on my iPhone speaker, these sound incredible! Way to go, Wuhan!
Great review as always 👏. I just liked all of those cymbals, especially the splash and china. Coupled with that BDC kit 😍👌🔥🥁🥁🥁🥁 dear Santa 🎅🤣🤣🤣😄
Those sound amazing, especially the ride
I loved the sound of these high-end Wuhan’s. I wonder if the are consistent or if you need to hear them first before purchasing like most Zildjain cymbals need to be heard first.
15 hats, 17 and 19 crashes, 21 ride and 20 china. Amazing cymbals
Really interesting. Liked the crashes a lot. The ride was also nice, but did not like that as much as the crashes. The china was very cool. I thought the hats were only OK, and did like the splash much at all. Overall, for the price, these are a good deal. I could a new drummer setting themselves up with some of these and being really happy. Thanks for the review!
Used to buy Wuhan chinas for like $35. Never thought I'd see a whole Wuhan set sounding this good!
Took the words right out of my finger tips!
Yeah loving these tones.
And like everyone is saying - the China is awesome!
22 ride and 15, that body sound man..., love the 18,19,20
omg they all sound fire who would expected
Wuhan is stepping up their game. Might have to get these.
Sorry, I know that this was a cymbal review, but I was too busy listening to that amazing British Drum Company kit. Wow!
Ditto, Dan, DITTO! #BDC -James from DCP
Those all sound killer with the non-dry china being my least favorite. I particularly liked the splashes and the ride cymbal bell sounds. Thanks for the demos.
Glad they’re still around
I loved that snare!
I got the 16” 18” crash
10” splash
And the 14” hi hats
I love them all
They cut through on indoor venues, big outdoor festivals, all of it
I’m gonna get the 20” crash and that China too
I’m really happy with my purchases
I'm a Zildjian guy, but that 10" splash did it for me.
That 2nd floor Tom roars! British Drum Co. FTW!
I looove hanging chinas and this just sounds so good. Gotta get one!
wow! great sound!!
Totally agree with ya!
@@drumcenternh love the china, 22 ride 10 splash and 15" hats
digging the cymbal!!
Aweeeeeeeesome! And what about that drum kit?! Damn, y'all!
If I didn't just switch to Centent I'd definitely pick up a set of these, I'm completely blown away! And the dark china is absolutely amazing, I don't use dark/dry cymbals at all but I instantly fell in love with that thing and NEED to add it to my repertoire.
Did you ever get one? Did it hold up?
@dalekay9ine I did not but ngl I might go back to checking them out. I've been building up my own custom set from Centent and learning a lot along the way; it's been a lot to say the least haha but I definitely still wanna check out one of these china's and maybe the 22" ride as well!
That normal conical china sounds wonderful! Reminds me of Sabians 19" paragon china.
Neil designed that China to replace his Wuhan so that’s probably not a coincidence lol
These sound similar to my Sabian HHX Legacy pack. They look similar too. Love them.
Freakin love the sound of these. Want em all.
Both chinas were amazing... I hope the brilliant one has the highest pitch since I like the look better over the dark one. The crashes reminds me a bit of the Paiste Precision Signature: bright but warm, in a word musical.
Sounds as good as anything I've heard in a while. I will buy a set and give em a go.
Did you get them?
@@hobojungle1 thanks to Biden I can barely afford food at the moment. Still got my Zildjans, maybe I wont have to pawn those.
@@lancelucifer4851 feel ya bro. Hard times. FJB.
Im glad im new to drumming. I havent fallen into being a snob when it comes to cymbals. From the cheapest to the most expensive they all have their sounds. AND that is what drumming is about. SOUND..And its personal. I have a certain sound im looking for and funny enough probably going to spashes and putting my normal cymbals aside. I just ordered a Wuhan Western 12" splash and look forward to experimenting with it.
Like many, I first came to Wuhan for the china - the only non-Zildjian in my set up. But then with the B20 western cymbals and now the Koi, Wuhan has really nailed the splashes, crashes and even the hi-hats. I own 10-12 Wuhans now. However, they still have yet to produce a nice full sounding ride with stick definition. Their rides play a lot more like big crashes. Other than that, I say bravo for the quality they've been putting out there!
Excellent observations
I agree with you. Have u checked out the 20" wuhan heavy ride?
wow. that whole package. drums cymbals . all of it.
Damn these were suprisingly good
Sound really good. But that 20” Dark China is sick!
Very good sounding cymbals. 👍
the crashes are top notch to my ear!
That fill at @9:52 - Tasty chops!
Amazing sound but do they hold up? Do they last?
Like the sound of the crashes. Please do longer segments with the ‘room mics’ - no EQ, so we can hear what all of the instruments sound like live.
Love those big crashes! Many thanks! :)
Those chinas are on point!
Only order from these guys. They have the fastest shipping of anyone I've used
Great cymbals, especially the china. But the snare sound takes the cake here!
I have played Wuhan China Cymbals for years because they are the only thing that actually sounds Chinese. The high end Branded China cymbals are cool, but they never sound Chinese. These new Koi Cymbals sound great! If they hold up then that will be great. That's the only downside to my Wuhan China cymbals. They do crack easier that higher dollar top end branded cymbals, but they are cheap to replace. Give and take.
I’m new fan of wuhan sounds clean 🔥
All of those cymbals sound great .
Very similar to K Sweet cymbals.
Shane rockin the bare feet . I do the same 🤘
Call me crazy but that 18" crash sounds VERY familiar, almost like my Paiste Signature 18" crash, quicker decay, but close. The Alloy is only what- 4-5% difference? Very nice for a great price point!
I know smaller crashes aren't nearly as popular as they were a few decades ago, but I'm still a bit surprised they don't offer a 16". Any idea if that's going to change at any point? These sound fantastic, but I generally prefer 16-18" crashes over 18"-20".
These cymbals are like dream or Zildjian paper thin. They dark, very thin so you need a large diameter to be useful.
@@holmessph7 Informative and succinct answer, thank you.
Amazing cymbals, reminds me of my 70's classic rock cymbals, like the old Turkish Avidas. Where can I buy these cymbals from ? I don't see them selling anywhere yet?
Links to buy them from us are in the description!
They actually sound pretty good.
Please do a review of red cymbals they are amazing!!!!
On another note. Can you guys do a sawtooth drum review these are showing up more and more. I do realize that they are not anything you might have in your showroom but curious on your take on these cheaper end drums.
Unfortunately we only review the products we carry so this is not likely.
Ok I definitely need to get the ride cymbal
How does the bell sound for a 18 inch crash. I would like to use it as a ride cymbal ????
I hear some Paiste meets Dream here. Cool!
I had the same thoughts!
Saw these at my local drum ahop yeaterday, and didnt realize they were wuhan!! This a nice option! Always nn the market for affordable 😂
I don’t love the crashes but the chinas the hats and the splash are niceee.
Actually revision the 19-20” crashes are 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
I'm not a fan of birch snares, generally speaking, but that snare sounds amazing!
As a beginning drummer, the price point of these is exactly what I'm looking for! I'm saving up for an 18-19-20.
Those hi-hats are fantastic, regardless of price.
Definitely getting that dark china
Did you get it? Did it hold up? Thanks.
@@dalekay9ine still going strong. I've never cracked or broken a cymbal tbh
@@Multifarious1 nice! I've only cracked one cymbal since I started playing in '99.
Great studio cymbals
Could they be rebranded Dream cymbals? Those are also made in Wuhan.
I like the western Wuhans too, but the bell seems to small..
You forgot about Wuhan's Linear Smashes which are totally high-end (at least in sound) clones of Zildjian EFX!
We didn't forget, they just aren't part of the new Koi Series - which is what this particular video is about. We demo the Linear Smashes in our best cymbal packs video.
that portnoy reference 😎
unreal cymbals
Reminds me of Dream Cymbals Energy Line
Dude that China rips!
One of the very best!
