Like you said you guys didn't need anymore cymbals- but I am glad you have these! Prices are getting too crazy from big companies and this seems to be the best sound and value for the dollar 💵 🙌 👌 👏 🙏 from all I have heard. I WILL be purchasing some classic or Meta series soon
Hi, I'm one of the endorsement artists of Turkish Cymbals from Japan, thank you so much for uploading the great compared video❤️ Glad to watch and share it for my listeners 😌
@@Buddythunder1 There are so many amazing cymbal manufacturers from Turkey. I don't know which brands are available in the US, but those cymbals are about 30% cheaper than hi-end Paiste, Zildjian, Sabian, Meinl. As Shane said in the video, all cymbals are handhammered, b20 alloy. If I remember correctly, the entire Byzance series is produced in the Murat Diril factory in Turkey.
In the end, Classic and Millennium catch my ear the most. Like the cut and clarity. Ad Astra were cool too. Something in here for almost anyone. Thanks!!
So thankful to have DCP as my go-to drum store. Quality products, fantastic service, and a plethora of information available through these well produced videos. Drum shop perfection!
those cymbals in the Ad Astra series are pretty interesting, quite dry and mellow yet quite bright and expressive when hit harder. Nice clear bell. and even barefoot drumming too!! ;-)
I've got a couple of splashes (10" and 12") since the late 90's, from their Classic and Rock series, and they sound great. Their warranty was also cool. The 12" broke at a gig and they replace it for me, no cost at all. It was in 2000 I think, and so far no more problem with any of them, they both are in perfect state and sound great. I said in case someone is wondering about quality, durability and all that things. I don't know though if their warranty terms are still the same or if they changed. Even if those splashes are all that I have from this brand, I've always thought they give you a very nice sound at a great price, and it's an option to consider if you want to buy some cymbals.
Instantly I'm a fan. Specifically of the Millenium and Classic series. You guys put out the best content period. Thanks for bringing us amazing products and always shipping my orders so fast!
I just purchased the Meta series a few months ago and I can say "Wow!" I like them better than my A Customs ....and for way less money. Balanced and 👏 amazing
I tried Turkish cymbals in person earlier this year, I remember some amazing crashes and rides. And out of the turkish made cymbals I’ve tried (Agop, Memhet, Zildjian, Bosporus) they are the most wild.
I was just up at the store and looking for potentially new cymbals. I went in thinking that the Cappadocia line was what I was looking for, but then played the Ad Astra ride. Now I’m thinking Ad Astra for the win. I played through a lot of what you guys had in stock, and I have to say that Turkish make some really nice cymbals. Across all the lines, they were musical with unique properties within each line. If you’re in the market for some new plates, I would highly recommend looking at Turkish cymbals, you won’t be disappointed.
The Classic Series was by far the best and most versatile cymbals to me. Maybe because they reminded me of Zildjians so much. And that Keplinger snare just sounded perfect!
I like the AD Astra series..especially the hi-hats and the ride. Like other comments the cymbal selections now from various manufacturers is amazing..always fun to check out the options out there.
Fun little fact. The cymbal brand Zultan is made by Turkish. Few things show this to be the case, one being both have a Rock Beat series (zultan had the exact same stamp even on them prior to 2023), many of the lines having the same cymbals (Zultan Q series is Turkish Studio, Zultan Z line being Turkish Sumela line, and the Raw series well, you know) and the FX cymbals having the same hole patterns and finishes. Really cool stuff!
Very nice! I just bought a 16 and 18 inch crash + a 20 inch ride from the Sehzade range. They are a bit like poor man's Sabian HH Duo, have a superior bell and a warm sound. The attack is rather slow but they fit nicely to my Paiste Signature cymbals at my kit.
I was hoping you would do a video covering these! Lately, I've been looking at several of the turkish-made brands, to my ear this brand seems to cover versatility for modern or dare I say, "pop" music. although the Cappadocia fill that trash side too (the 22 is my favorite in this video, followed by some of the millenniums). Different compared to other brands I've looked at, some of which seem to cover all aspects jazz with a fill few fillers. Just my first impression! Great stuff!
Wow didn’t have any expectations but these sound quite nice actually, they sound complex and not too overly harsh to the year even for lines like the raw brilliant or meta
Lovely tones across the board with only a couple of duds. Hard to choose a favourite - I'd probably wind up mixing a selection. Curious to know which set is cheapest through to most expensive and why.
I only buy cymbals really handmade in Turkey (as good if not better than famous companies) and I have had some Turkish cymbals including 14" Apex raw signature hi hats. Love the Millenium 17" crash and 18" Classic. Don't like much the rides.
The Raw Clap Stack...uhhh, nope. Waste of metal. Sorry, but those things are so iffy for me. I know I just said I loved them all...but I hadn't watched the entire video. D'oh!
No conistency, every cymbals sounds very difrent and some of them simply it's no good frequency. It's my opinion. I play paiste signature and period! No comment.
Quick math - Meinl equivalents are approx +25% and worth every cent. I’m a good half way though the video as I type this and every one of these sounds interesting but cheap and lacking polish. Appreciate the video (as always) but hard pass.
this is the only drum demo ive ever seen that switches the panning of the overheads by perspective in real time. its a neat little touch :)

Thank you too!
Are we living in the best time for drummers or what? All are stellar. Great video as always! 👍🏼
You are not kidding! The number of serious cymbal options these days is mind boggling!
You got that right and thanks Kevin!

The wealth of info so readily, makes it more welcoming I feel. 43 and 1 month beatin'. Not to mention the used and entry level market.
In the end, Classic and Millennium catch my ear the most. Like the cut and clarity. Ad Astra were cool too. Something in here for almost anyone. Thanks!!
Classic sound ALOT like the Wuhan Koi series. Wow
Great video of Turkish cymbals. i am very lucky to be a endorse of these cymbals with in the UK
So thankful to have DCP as my go-to drum store. Quality products, fantastic service, and a plethora of information available through these well produced videos. Drum shop perfection!
We are thankful to have great customers such as yourself so thank you!
Tonally this is the best sounding video y’all have ever put out.
I can’t even stand up without knocking over a glass of water.
Thanks Alex, we try to make each one better than the last!

Cappadocia Series Demo....my favorite!
Yeah those were sweet

I went to the factory earlier in the year and bought a set. It's the same factory as Istanbul Mehmet. Fab cymbals and nice people.
And super affordable compared to the Big 4
Those Classic crashes sound great.
The cymbals sound awesome but that N&C drum set just knocked me out. What a tone!!!!Holy cats!!!!!
Yeah, these drums are KILLER!
Dude, 100% agree
These cymbals sound pretty great. Plus the ones they just released are amazing
Instantly I'm a fan. Specifically of the Millenium and Classic series. You guys put out the best content period. Thanks for bringing us amazing products and always shipping my orders so fast!
Thank you!! Yeah, both the Millennium and Classic series are awesome!
I just purchased the Meta series a few months ago and I can say "Wow!" I like them better than my A Customs ....and for way less money. Balanced and 👏 amazing
Right on, crazy good value!
I tried Turkish cymbals in person earlier this year, I remember some amazing crashes and rides. And out of the turkish made cymbals I’ve tried (Agop, Memhet, Zildjian, Bosporus) they are the most wild.
They definitely have their own take on the Turkish cymbal sound!
I was just up at the store and looking for potentially new cymbals. I went in thinking that the Cappadocia line was what I was looking for, but then played the Ad Astra ride. Super versatile and yeah.... that KEP!
I like the AD Astra series..especially the hi-hats and the ride. Like other comments the cymbal selections now from various manufacturers is amazing..always fun to check out the options out there.
They sound amazing-agreed.
These sound great and the prices are even better

I just love the sound of the META Series. Ad Astra is also very interesting.
The Meta I would choose, but It's always what you're wanting to hear, I could see me using all of them.
I've got the Meta 3pack and i love it. The ride bell is super clear. That Ad Astra China would be a great addition.
Are there any plans to do a video like this for Istanbul? I'd like to see their series compared but I can't find one already on the channel
I agree. I am an Istanbul guy and would love to see more demos of their cymbals
Those Ad Astra hats sound like groove monsters! I might have to get a pair...
Great video and some great sounding Cymbals. Love your videos. Thanks
Thank you and glad that you like them!

We were surprised with how much we liked them too!
There we go. The line looks amazing! Might have to check them out. DCP = top shelf ALWAYS 🥁🥁🥁
Thanks as always Al and these are definitely worth checking out!
ALL of them sounded freaking awesome! Wow! Wow! Wow!
Those 16” hats are absolutely 🔥🔥🔥
The Meta series sounds best for me. Appriciate these demos. Thanks again.
Lovely tones across the board with only a couple of duds.
Hard to choose a favourite - I'd probably wind up mixing a selection.
Curious to know which set is cheapest through to most expensive and why.
Well known cymbals in Germany. I have some Turkish cymbals in my own setup. Cool for playing Jazz.
Wow I love them all seriously wow
Really great cymbals!
I totally dig these cymbals.
I’m loving that 20” ad astra crash. Any chance that exact one is still available?
they sound good for the play. i like
Millennium were quite spectacular and Ad Astra were the best
Astra & Cappadocia for the win. I may switch from sabian...
Those splash chokes hahahha
#nailedit
Thanks for the video
Ad astra china sounds quite cool
Yeah, and they feel great to play!
the meta line seems like it could open up a lot more with heavy hits
Gimme the Raw Brilliant hats and ride, with the Millenium crashes.
Cool set up right there!
Millenium were phenomenal
Is that 22” millennium ride, the crash ride?
Go with the Raw Brilliants. I don't hear any man buns in those.
Can someone tell me the jazz song that plays while sean is talking about why they carry the brand? Thanks
Magnifico.
Great cymbals, play with for some years now, but don't like the fact they changed the large logo...
There's a few in there that were pretty cool, but honestly I just don't think they outshine anything the other big brands already do.
If I remember correctly, the entire Meinl Byzance series is produced in the Murat Diril factory in Turkey
Nice
Salve sono alla ricerca di un Tom da 10 della Rogers anni 70 so che è difficile trovarlo potete aiutarmi? Grazie mille fatemi sapere.

Of course each cymbal will sound different as each is handmade.
Quick math - Meinl equivalents are approx +25% and worth every cent. I’m a good half way though the video as I type this and every one of these sounds interesting but cheap and lacking polish.
Appreciate the video (as always) but hard pass.
Meinl, huh? It's great that you mentioned them, because the entire Byzance series is produced in the Murat Diril factory in Turkey
