Hi! Wich code did you get from the Scaneer? ill have 1 GT 2000 1zz motor with the check engine light, i bought a scanner and it scan the P0446, P0441 and the P0420. And dont knock wich part tor change. Mine have problems with the RPM, when you start the engine its starts on 2,000 RPM to 2,500 RPM. It smells a little bit of gasoline. One time mine got me on legs and that one time was smelling a lot of gasoline. Got MAF sensor and sparks change and fix it. But right now i have that problem.

I think you shoulda tested the valves, maybe swapped complete with valves or just valves. Maybe a purge valve bad or such

Wazzapp Jay I’m not a mechanic at all but I had similar problem with my old celica and it was the charcoal canister.
