It’s a shame coldsteel stopped making the broken skull that knife was $50-60 in cts-xhp. I believe that’s a better comparison between the spyderco. I stopped buying spyderco they are just to overpriced for what you get. As far as a survival knife the 4max scout is it hands down. A $60 knife that’s about indestructible. I’m all for USA made but I don’t feel the mark up matches the quality nowadays. I’ll never buy another benchmade ever after I found out about their giving money to gun grabbers an democrats. Can’t speak for donations made after 2020 because they hide that information which is even worse in my book. I’m a old veteran so my ways might not be everyone’s. Stand for something or fall for anything!
Can't agree more on all of that. Especially the Broken Skull in xhp. I missed out on that. I think my comparison was a quick reaction to what I was was holding in my hand compared to something priced like gold but is not gold. I appreciate your Veteran ways.
Its 250 but the older ones were not 4v. So its not the same bro. Thats an exclusive model. The new millie 2’s are like 190ish. I like the original millie enough that i never cared about the tip down carry or the liner lock. In my opinion spyderco millie is absolutely the best liner lock ever made. Talking about the lock itself. No one does it better. I need to pick up that 4max scout. How is the clip though. Does it go into the pocket decently
True, seems as though s30v would be less. I like the liner lock on this knife, very refined and my older one shows zero sign of wear. They are flawlessly constructed. The pocket clip on the 4 max is good. Absolutely no issues even on thick pants. It carries very well. Only issue is the weight. I like the tip down on the military myself. Unique
Not even close. 4Max Scout wins hands down.
No way these two knives can be compared. The Tri-Ad lock alone makes any Cold Steel knife superior.
Spyderco is and always has been OVERPRICED!!! COLD STEEL is better, stronger and at a fraction of the price. 👍👍👍

Spyderco is awesome, quality manufacturing, made in America out of quality materials. All that said, the 4Max Scout absolutely crushes!!!
The military is my most carried knife , ill carry other ones here and there but always go back to my militarys.
