My Dovii personality seems to match up exactly with yours. Your Dovii is beautiful. Mine is the Nicaraguan Dovii but besides body shape deference ours seem to act exactly the same. Mines evens treats his female the same. I’ve been watching your channel a while. You made me want to get a Dovii over a year ago. Mr and mrs Wolfie loved watching them. I wish I could keep a Dovii, but it is what it is. I like your commentary, it's fun, educating and just beautiful aquariums. Most importantly not overcrowded, that's what I like ass well. ✌️😊👍

I want to keep and breed siamese algae eaters (Crossocheilus Latius Latius). I'm research allot about ideas and reading comments 🤔😉😂, everyone knows it better. However I do follow some and get some pretty good info. I just want to start as good as possible, before even build it. Im going to make a river stream pond, with extern wetland filtration and many other things. So I also already know most plants to help filtration, substrate etc. I do have 2 questions: Do most Dovii get bigger then 30 inches? Can male Dovii live alone, because I think it's sad if you can't care about fry? Who knows in the future, but first research. 👍😊👍
Great video Andy. My Umbee is also a greedy eater. Will eat anything and everything anytime. Hes also extremely aggressive as soon as i enter the room and against the glass. No dovii atm besides a 2 inch little believed male in my amphilophus community just because he was free. See if he makes it. My dovii i had laat year was very young. Glass terrorist since 6 inches that dovii was but had to move him on

Oh, upping your production game, eh? Love these fish, I need them all. I think I lean toward Umbees. My discus are fussy about pellets, they are too spoiled by Mysis shrimp.

Ive all ways wanted a dovi the king of chiclids for a long long time And its so hard for me to pick out of these two But i must say id take the umbee beautiful head shape lovely scales and wonderful long fins top personality Like i said hard cause that dovi of yours is a wonderful
my dovii is a very fussy eater in fact he has to be starving before he'll eat a pellet so I soak his fresh food in vitamins lol don't have an umbee only have room and money for 1- 380 gal. tank for the big guy he's not too aggressive at all he's only12 inches but he was raised with blood parrots and I know how bad it is to have tank mates but he has his favorite buddy and shows no aggression yet.. in fact I've seen him act like there all going to spawn together I'll pull the parrots if I see any stress or aggressiveness. I think they have different degrees of aggression I'm lucky so far ., love your set up and your fish look very healthy and happy
I think umbee looks better but the dovii is a great aggressive fish if you want really mean fish in a good way. like a fish that just don't give a fuck, I liked that.

My Dovii is 9", he is still very skittish, always hiding when you come up to the tank.

Umbees are aggressive, since dovii tankmate. No issues having with red devil, festae, or other aggressive cichlids? They can hold their own?
