Great video, you have another subscriber! I was in the Cairngorms a couple of months back and walked the other side of the Lairig Ghru along to Ben MacDui. Great views across to Braeriach. A magical place, can’t wait to go back and maybe give this walk a go.

@@PAADVENTURES1 Yes, I got to the summit. It was that rare thing, a clear day with hardly any wind. You could see all the way to Ben Nevis! Definitely want to walk there in the winter, the snow must make it even more dramatic. There was some snow, when I was there, in June, there were even some lunatics ski-ing.

Thanks Eddie!! Yeah it was an eventful but fun night. It pretty much started after a swim…the midge were horrendous so I decided to head up to the bothy to make dinner. The bothy was empty so I decided to strike camp and just stay in the bothy. It’s a wee bothy. I just got all my gear in and settled when a man and his son came in hiding from the midge..they got there bed set up and settled down. 10 minutes later a woman arrived again hiding from the midge. She settled down to make dinner…..5 minutes later another 2 arrived….pretty cosy now! The rest of the night was spent cooking chatting and a wee 18 year old malt! Difficult to film with bodies strewn all over the place 😆😆😆good fun though and I woke everyone up at 5 am! 🥴🥴🥴eek! Thanks for watching mate and thanks for the support!! Paul

Paul really good video excellent views great Munro’s I did these on a two day backpacking trip many years ago with the other 4000 ers camped near top of the devils point so the video brought back some happy memories cheers

Hi Stevie, in good conditions with an early start it’s easily done in a day (fitness is obviously a big factor) I did consider just walking back to my van as I was at the bothy around 4 in the afternoon. I had carried all my camping gear so decided on just getting a swim and chilling. I think personally with a lighter pack and a good tailwind I would give myself 11 to 12 hours to do the entire walk?. That said I enjoyed the overnight adventure and it made for an easy relaxing two days! Hope this helps and thanks for watching!! Paul

I’d just like to get it done as I’ve only got 30 Munros to go till completion and in between jobs at moment so have 3 weeks to play around . This is very soothing and just so peaceful to watch, I come to your channel often and always find myself so moved and inspired to create. I think nowadays, the judgment of what makes a great content is very sketchy. Myself I had a UA-cam channel and I did quit because I felt I could not keep up with the power that if you don't make this certain level of quality it means your stuff is rubbish. Sad that people died - on a training course no less. There's always danger in the hills. That look down on that loch below was stunning! Love the whispy wind. When do those damned midges finally leave you all in peace?
It's a wild place Seth, easy to be fooled when the weather is nice and sunny. Completely different place in winter. Quite thought provoking to think of that tragedy as I walked through. I hope we will see the end of the midge towards October probably! Hopefully sooner mate! They are a nuisance. Paul

Rob, I would recommend this way. The initial pull upto Braeriach was tough but once up it was amazing. My thoughts are that I enjoyed the Munro walk on day one with fresh legs then the walk out in the morning was more leisurely. There are a couple of great camping spots at the top of the devils point which i considered but decided on camping near the bridge and getting a soak. Either way you will live this walk! Another stoater Paul - nice and remote and the only person I seen there was Roy..as much as the views and Mountains were amazing I have a wee thing for Hill Lochans...that was a wee Jewel In The Crown. Is that a bog standard GPS device you have on the strap or a PLB? turn an ankle in that boulder field you would be in a spot of bother - risk versus reward...beautiful. 🪨🪨🪨👍
The lochan was beautiful Dave. There was a path from the bealach below the angels peak down to it. I believe there is a path down again to the Glen and a bothy? Not 100% though. It was nice and quiet. I did see a few folk but for the weather it was quiet. Those rocks at both the Chalamain gap and cairn toul! I completely destroyed my trail runners! Ripped to shreds 🥴🥴🥴a great day though and one I would highly recommend! Paul

This is very soothing and just so peaceful to watch, I come to your channel often and always find myself so moved and inspired to create. I think nowadays, the judgment of what makes a great content is very sketchy. Myself I had a UA-cam channel and I did quit because I felt I could not keep up with the power that if you don't make this certain level of quality it means your stuff is rubbish. I am finally getting back and realizing that it doesn't matter. You inspire me a lot. Thank you and wishing you the best on your journey :)

Brilliant video again paul, and liked the narration, something a bit diff. Superb views and you’ll prob be glad of the breeze up there, looked a warm one. The cairngorms are special and I’ll defo do those with a wild camp to enjoy them.

It's a wild place Seth, easy to be fooled when the weather is nice and sunny. Completely different place in winter. Quite thought provoking to think of that tragedy as I walked through.
I hope we will see the end of the midge towards October probably! Hopefully sooner mate! They are a nuisance. Paul

Rob, I would recommend this way. The initial pull upto Braeriach was tough but once up it was amazing. My thoughts are that I enjoyed the Munro walk on day one with fresh legs then the walk out in the morning was more leisurely. There are a couple of great camping spots at the top of the devils point which i considered but decided on camping near the bridge and getting a soak. Either way you will live this walk! Another stoater Paul - nice and remote and the only person I seen there was Roy..as much as the views and Mountains were amazing I have a wee thing for Hill Lochans...that was a wee Jewel In The Crown. Is that a bog standard GPS device you have on the strap or a PLB? turn an ankle in that boulder field you would be in a spot of bother - risk versus reward...beautiful. 🪨🪨🪨👍
The lochan was beautiful Dave. There was a path from the bealach below the angels peak down to it. I believe there is a path down again to the Glen and a bothy? Not 100% though.
It was nice and quiet. I did see a few folk but for the weather it was quiet. Those rocks at both the Chalamain gap and cairn toul! I completely destroyed my trail runners! Ripped to shreds 🥴🥴🥴a great day though and one I would highly recommend! Paul
