Then I subsequently APPARENTLY didn't play for long enough to lose all of my high-end accs ☹ I'm doing okay for myself d2-wise now, but finally getting to the level to afford some perm imp shanks along with a fully pimped pnb necro only to have the accounts closed (I swear dude it was a month and a half tops. Not more than 90 days) was a brutal blow. We move on tho. Very cool that we had the same idea! I was just looking at widowmaker and thought fuck dude. Smiter.
dont go back to the game..activision dont deserve your money....they ruin every single game they touched.......be glad they only ruined the characters appearence for D2 remaster instead of the whole game like wow...wc3 reforged...d4 immortal......and heartstone is going on its way down as of 5 months ago(printed stuff thats broken too powerfull and they stated they dont care)
Hey bro, with the remaster coming out I think its gonna be a golden opportunity for your channel. PvP builds will be a hot topic, as well as farming. Griswolds FoH with facets would be a fun one for pvp. Memes but actually strong af. For farming maybe a lightning sorc with the conviction aura staff. D2jsp still has builds on there. Hoping the remaster will be devoid of hacks in pvp.
@@bcp6524 That's a huge concern for me. Like this is a dream with everyone starting fresh and new graphics and stuff, but if they don't fix the underlying engine exploits then it will be a repeat. Im not sure they can fix all of them, I just hope they at least run banwaves or something at a minimum.
Not sure if PKing will be disabled. I mean, if you join a game with people it's pretty obvious there might be some who want to kill other players. I'd just play it safe and make a private game. I'd only really be interested in PvPing when I'm geared up for it.
pally using bows//thrown javelins was a thing in lld rooms(back up weap for opponents running out of melee range)......i had every possible builds in the game b4 my acc expired...including a golemancer(pure points in golems only)...was 1 of my 2 char to be an annoyance....golem slow was disgusting...iron golem would also be funny...pure valkyr zon(the valkyr would hit like a truck but miss hit often againts players)..think was lvl 44 in all skills ?.........my other annoyance char was a leaping barb XD kb everyone in the map from far away lol
reply no 2: btw...if you want a fun build...kick assassin is nice...the only backdraw it got is weak to elements(to make a strong kick sin you gotta sacrifice ele resists)..so you need charms providing resists....the build hit rly hard with proper gear(upgraded gore rider boots only available on ladder....dont be fooled by shadow dancer boots..those are junk)...also friendly warning about kick sin....you dont want it to kick more than 4-5 time otherwise your a free hit target in pvp(so plan ahead and spend some points in other skills if base + gear//charms = more than 4 kicks....Enchant//ES sorc sorta fun too(buffing low lvl or even high lvl is nice....Warcry barb sorta fun..2 wiz spike...2 soj and frostburn mandatory otherwise mana issue......Frost(Shiver) Armor sorc is sorta funny too(any melee attacker die..including players).........oh ya..defensive aura pally is also fun support build XD....1850% mana regen at lvl 50 Meditation or lvl 50 Defiance for mega Def along a barb lvl 50 Battle Shout XD....rest of post scrapped XD
Interesting build, haven't played in 10 years but I always played a smiter or smiter/fohdin for duels. I've actually seen this build before way back then, and I thought it was super cool then. I do like how much game it gives you vs. the casters, particularly the sorcs. Also nice smites on the druid, that shit is hella hard to pull off cleanly with summons. I'm wondering if charge is going to get a lot worse in the remaster since I would imagine they will be working on fixing desync's, but seems like a perfectly viable build at top end pvp.
I saw in EU bnet a nice foh charger. He had a amazing rare rod with sick dmg and 3 to foh and 2 to convicton. He used 20/20 life rbf armor and shaftstop. First time i saw such a pala. Very nice.

(1soc works as well) This wep can spawn with more stats as rare, such as base ias and ar mods. Even single res and mana. Sadly i dont think it can spawn with 5ctc amp since psn dagger chargets. Shield: stormshield When Nn dr: Sop/spirit or Even swordback holds for 50% ow, jmod 20/-20 psn also viable. Gloves: trang ouls Boots: upped gores or shadow dancers. I think shadows for this build. Belt: arach Amulet: 2/20/str/adds ammu Helm: Since i prefer 102fcr on all assas i will recommend griffon 'cham' Other choises are: 2assa/20fcr/visio/2socs Ofc valk 08 is a epic choice. Ring 1: 10fcr/str/dex/mana/@/ar Ring 2: 102fcr: 10fcr/ar/dex/life/mana/@ 65fcr choices: wisp/soj/dwarf/raven Armor(str bug it): Enigma scarab husk Eod scarab husk. Torch Annie 9 x shadow or trap sks or mix. When it comes to soc: Helm need 1 cham, Else viable choices are: Ber, Lo, shael, 15ias/100ar, 15ias/15@, Vex, psn facet. Wep has several thing u can soc with as well: 2 * eth runes to reduce enemy def by 25% in pvp(half effect) 2 * 15@/15ias 2 * 15/100ar 2 * Um for 50% ow to work in combi with psn. 2 * ber for 40% crushing blow. Or mix. Stormshield can be socet ber/jah/Lo/vex/ias/shael for 1 better fbr break. (u can only be fbr'd each frame, there is an next delay) Anyway, 128k psn dmg is though^^ 128000 * 0,17 * 0,25 = 5440 life vs an 75 psn res enemy.
similar thing can be done with a level 50 amazon for mid-level duels using the harmony runeword bow to keep distance and a javelin/shield combo on switch, pretty fun
i played a bowadin back in the day, except i didnt bother with charge. i just pumped all points into auras. i think it was called buriza? had piercing and freezing? was really good in pvp and pve. just had to actually aim instead of spewing out guided arrows.
Basically further prooves how broken pallys are. Smite needs to require AR and have another synergy. Max Smite, max fana, max holy shield and then max defiance. Good luck barbs with even hitting this class when it can stack skillers and auto hits. Then you can prebuff and then use Widowmaker. Totally a op class
Bowadin's/rangers are not new. There are two routes: physical damage or elemental damage. Elemental- conviction, fanaticism, holy freeze, holy shock, salvation. The skills stack. I played a conviction/elemental ranger. With high level equipment, its a good character. No charge, BH, FOH is required. I agree with the bow choice.

Wind shaman druid is probably my 2nd favorite class. (next to bonemancer necro) The good gear for them was really expensive back when i was playing though.
I use to play pvp open and compete on nightshivers ladder hall many many years ago probably 20 years ago. Many all nighters, clans, the community. I am shocked people still play now, i didnt even know you could?, i thought the servers shut down for that game years ago. Any way i was excited to hear they are doing a remake.
been playing this game for almost 2 decades and never got into pvp. not once. not ever. now I'm thinking I should... but now there is PD2, D2R, and D4 at some point lol idk what to do

My favorite build was a tele-zealadin back when everyone was using gmod tmcpk autoaim whatever else lol, My autoaim had blindspot tele for against hammerdins. seriously good memories
all clear, exception made for the smiting in the air- moments was it done forecasting enemy being on you and not being visualized due to lag or what? or by simply fuc!!ng people teleporting next to you with enigma lol

Couldn't this bow/build be altered slightly and used in hardcore permadeath tp pking? No one would ever see it coming from a paladin. Swap enigma for something with more damage, drop the grief, and you have a cheap build that does good ranged damage. I'll probably try it in D2R
Does firing a few guided arrows then swapping to melee weapon still use the mods for the melee? A long time ago people could slow you using the General’s Tan Do La on swap.
I think it actually depends on the mods. Certain mods can take effect when you swap (lower resistance items, OW, etc), but certain ones don't (Enhanced Damage, AR, +damage). One of the many "enigmas" that still exist in this game lol
why u not show in pvp hows the 2h decapitator with charge ? Btw dont forget even 60k or 600k dmg u can do with charge, charge need attack rating so you can easily miss if you dont have at least 20k-30k atr.
Hello again, how are you? I play on a private server that has some items modified, so attack rating would not be a problem for me with my paladin. However, another question arose. When dealing with gross bow damage, wouldn't it be more advantageous to use offensive aura gc? This would increase both the damage of the bow and the charge.
We tested that. The damage was only marginally better, but the loss of FHR and skills hurt us in other ways. The FHR (and FCR for chains) is what brought us to Spirit

Torch Annie 322s Maby some 20/5@ Precast demon limb That thing can 1 tap even the strongest paladins with charge. Should have Enought res. 20% light abs, 5max light abs, 20% cold abs, 10max fire res(all abs are taken care of). 36% DR As i see it ur missing out on nearly 700% enhanced dmg on melee skills. Open wounds will have 35% chance to hit even if ur on god side upon impact. AR with ench should be around 25k+ Smite dmg should be decent due to 700% ed in armor and shield, zeal should be viable, charge 1 hit many, bow will be a little lower direct dmg, but add open wounds. Ofc u can make it teleport: 2/20/visio/10fhr/2soc/add helm Enigma 10fcr/str/dex/life/ar ring Trang ouls = 48fcr. My tele zeal used that and killed between 50 to 75% of high end enemy smiters/hammers in 1 charge. And he did not boost charge or syntenergies. This build should 1 tap many with charge :) A nice cold stack item would be coa with 2 x -15req/10@/40cr/add. That thing ends up 110cr/50@/low str req/15%dr/1skill/30fhr, so ur still tanky if duelling blizz + other
That's definitely one way to build it. CoA is just so good for survivability. Enigma is good for wearing that but also the FRW helps us desync and just genuinely traverse the map more quickly. I like your idea for like a max damage style setup though.
yeah they are. I just finished a pretty good ghost the other day, feel like they struggle a lot against barbs and pala's, they get out of cc and outdmg me fast ^^
It was also a grief! We settled on Zerker after these duels. Although phase blade still has its perks vs necros and any other class you'd use smite against that might slow you down

@@chrisp2272 0 dream tesladin with infinity merc is just as, if not moreso, effective than dual dream tesladin. Can get to ~40 holy shock, wear a light faceted griffons, and hit 75 fcr bp with spirit on switch.
@@mattsaxton1074 Did you edit the (for PvM) part? Or did I just miss it? A bow works with HS. The biggest thing is that a bow without Fana, and you’re around 2 attacks a second. Your DPS takes a nosedive in PvM, and in a duel, you can’t stand still that long. I’m not claiming to be an expert, my bnet Tesla is not quite using dual dreams (currently lvl 58) because I wanted to get some other gear first. But there are certainly a million ways to skin a cat. I’m guessing dual dream is popular because it’s also fairly defensive with a bit of MF. You’ll also save a few skill points if you use Conv as your active aura, which is probably more HShield-? Wether you’re SP and can use PlayersX or online probably makes a huge difference. If you’re on the highest player settings, the most dmg is probably the best. When swarmed, the pulse dmg will be killing a lot of things before you can even hit them. There are so many possible setups, that you’re definitely going to need to do a lot of testing. Like any lightning skill, min dmg is punishing for you, max dmg is punishing for what you hit. Which is why Grief is a great weapon to use, not to mention the ignore Def and -25% Def (although Conv is already doing a lot of that for ya). The massive guaranteed dmg makes it so that you’re basically 1 or 2 hitting the first monsters, and with pulse dmg, you’re definitely 1-2 hitting the 2nd/3rd/4th waves of monsters. You’ll also have a respectable deadly% and some CB with Gores and HLords. Crescent moon: it’s ok dmg and the -res% definitely gets your shock doing max possible dmg. I think the static will go relatively unnoticed, because you’re probably not hitting max Zeal (75% needed with phase and no Fana) with CMoon. The pulse dmg lessens the impact of static procs because static takes less life when monsters have...less life. This is really going all in on Light dmg unless you load up max sockets with 5/5 facets, but then you’re squishy. Doom: ups defensive characteristics while giving a +2 skill bonus as well as some guaranteed min dmg from Freeze. Might need a Bow Merc with Fana to really shine- Maybe BiS for MFing with dual dream setup with Conv active if you’re doing something like solo AT/pit running with your tesladin. Enigma on you, Bramble on merc to squeeze out a bit more min dmg with the roughly 10X dmg return. Griz set: lots of sockets, lots of facets. If you use Beast on swap, you can hit 4 frames attack rate, with 2 shaels + whatever you want, although it’s probably tougher to aim than Zeal. Beast: Caddy can be best because of skills. You can really get a high OW% with Gores and Dracs, which could lead to a poison-like play style of moving onto next monster if targets are still alive when you finish a zeal since OW gets up to a few thousand dmg. Leveraging the Fana would seem to be dual dream with Conv active so that your merc can use something other than Infinity. Infinity hits hard, but there are better options, and why I think you’re going to get better results if you go dual dream with conviction active, in general. If you’ve made it this far, here’s where it gets fun. Merc setup. Cant go wrong with Reapers, this needs no explanation and pairs well with Grief or beast. Beast really brings your merc into the equation. There are a lot of huge raw dmg RWs that you could use on an A2 or A5 merc (including Destruction- it has fireworks, but not a ton of dmg from them), but you already have great single target dmg, only light immunes and Baal himself will take more than a couple hits to kill. So getting Merc some AoE can be the real game changer. And you basically have two options: Rift pole or Voice Of Reason sword. A2 Rift Pros: let’s you get an another Aura, Rift is higher level Orbs, casts on attack. A2 Rift Cons: getting ias, Res all, CBFrozen, and FHR limits helm/armor choices. A5 VoR Pros: has CBF, the dmg to demons and undead is botd lvl ed in an eth Cryptic or Champ Sword, Phase is easy ias bps without Fana, A5 have no FHR animation, Can use NW Veil to get cold close to Rift. They have high base res all and great life regen. A5 Cons: lose Aura, doesnt do quite as much dmg as Rift, casts on strike not attack, although you might see more procs to balance it out because of the better FHR. My first setup will be dual dream with VoR phase A5 merc wearing Treachery.

I had a ranger/charger. Used EBOTD AS and widowmaker. Had a bunch of 451's. Was epic fun. My damage was 30k-62k with AS.

Never did this build on pally but I did have an Enchantress with Dream helm Bow Sorc. Her arrows with the added elemental dmg were crazy.

similar thing can be done with a level 50 amazon for mid-level duels using the harmony runeword bow to keep distance and a javelin/shield combo on switch, pretty fun

i played a bowadin back in the day, except i didnt bother with charge. i just pumped all points into auras. i think it was called buriza? had piercing and freezing? was really good in pvp and pve. just had to actually aim instead of spewing out guided arrows.

Basically further prooves how broken pallys are. Smite needs to require AR and have another synergy. Max Smite, max fana, max holy shield and then max defiance. Good luck barbs with even hitting this class when it can stack skillers and auto hits. Then you can prebuff and then use Widowmaker.

Bowadin's/rangers are not new. There are two routes: physical damage or elemental damage.
Elemental- conviction, fanaticism, holy freeze, holy shock, salvation. The skills stack. I played a conviction/elemental ranger. With high level equipment, its a good character. No charge, BH, FOH is required.

Wind shaman druid is probably my 2nd favorite class. (next to bonemancer necro) The good gear for them was really expensive back when i was playing though.

I use to play pvp open and compete on nightshivers ladder hall many many years ago probably 20 years ago. Many all nighters, clans, the community. I am shocked people still play now, i didnt even know you could?, i thought the servers shut down for that game years ago. Any way i was excited to hear they are doing a remake.

I miss my hammerdin with grief. Literally just swap the hoto for grief and use upped hoz for shield and you get a hammerdin / charge / smite hybrid
The PvM version of this is fun too. Kuko on switch with holy fire. Or 1.09 ravenclaw with its bugged level 30 exploding arrows :P

My favorite build was a tele-zealadin back when everyone was using gmod tmcpk autoaim whatever else lol, My autoaim had blindspot tele for against hammerdins. seriously good memories

Couldn't this bow/build be altered slightly and used in hardcore permadeath tp pking? No one would ever see it coming from a paladin. Swap enigma for something with more damage, drop the grief, and you have a cheap build that does good ranged damage. I'll probably try it in D2R

only 2 kills with the bow tho.... So, more of a Charger than a bona-fide bowadin.
It's all about the versatility. Experienced players can deal with both tactics individually, but it's unexpected when a pally throws both at you.

Does firing a few guided arrows then swapping to melee weapon still use the mods for the melee? A long time ago people could slow you using the General’s Tan Do La on swap.
I think it actually depends on the mods. Certain mods can take effect when you swap (lower resistance items, OW, etc), but certain ones don't (Enhanced Damage, AR, +damage). One of the many "enigmas" that still exist in this game lol

why u not show in pvp hows the 2h decapitator with charge ? Btw dont forget even 60k or 600k dmg u can do with charge, charge need attack rating so you can easily miss if you dont have at least 20k-30k atr.
Hello again, how are you? I play on a private server that has some items modified, so attack rating would not be a problem for me with my paladin. However, another question arose. When dealing with gross bow damage, wouldn't it be more advantageous to use offensive aura gc? This would increase both the damage of the bow and the charge.

We tested that. The damage was only marginally better, but the loss of FHR and skills hurt us in other ways. The FHR (and FCR for chains) is what brought us to Spirit

As i see it ur missing out on nearly 700% enhanced dmg on melee skills. Open wounds will have 35% chance to hit even if ur on god side upon impact.
AR with ench should be around 25k+
Smite dmg should be decent due to 700% ed in armor and shield, zeal should be viable, charge 1 hit many, bow will be a little lower direct dmg, but add open wounds.

A nice cold stack item would be coa with 2 x -15req/10@/40cr/add. That thing ends up 110cr/50@/low str req/15%dr/1skill/30fhr, so ur still tanky if duelling blizz + other
That's definitely one way to build it. CoA is just so good for survivability. Enigma is good for wearing that but also the FRW helps us desync and just genuinely traverse the map more quickly. I like your idea for like a max damage style setup though.

It was also a grief! We settled on Zerker after these duels. Although phase blade still has its perks vs necros and any other class you'd use smite against that might slow you down

Paladin is OP even in WoW in my opinion.
Yo you show to use a griefz but in all the gameplay it's a phase blade the char is using I smell something fishy...lol but for real which one do I use I'm confused!!!

@@chrisp2272 0 dream tesladin with infinity merc is just as, if not moreso, effective than dual dream tesladin. Can get to ~40 holy shock, wear a light faceted griffons, and hit 75 fcr bp with spirit on switch.

Did you edit the (for PvM) part? Or did I just miss it? A bow works with HS. The biggest thing is that a bow without Fana, and you’re around 2 attacks a second. Your DPS takes a nosedive in PvM, and in a duel, you can’t stand still that long.
I’m not claiming to be an expert, my bnet Tesla is not quite using dual dreams (currently lvl 58) because I wanted to get some other gear first. But there are certainly a million ways to skin a cat. I’m guessing dual dream is popular because it’s also fairly defensive with a bit of MF. You’ll also save a few skill points if you use Conv as your active aura, which is probably more HShield-? Wether you’re SP and can use PlayersX or online probably makes a huge difference. If you’re on the highest player settings, the most dmg is probably the best. When swarmed, the pulse dmg will be killing a lot of things before you can even hit them. There are so many possible setups, that you’re definitely going to need to do a lot of testing.
Like any lightning skill, min dmg is punishing for you, max dmg is punishing for what you hit. Which is why Grief is a great weapon to use, not to mention the ignore Def and -25% Def (although Conv is already doing a lot of that for ya). The massive guaranteed dmg makes it so that you’re basically 1 or 2 hitting the first monsters, and with pulse dmg, you’re definitely 1-2 hitting the 2nd/3rd/4th waves of monsters. You’ll also have a respectable deadly% and some CB with Gores and HLords.
Crescent moon: it’s ok dmg and the -res% definitely gets your shock doing max possible dmg. I think the static will go relatively unnoticed, because you’re probably not hitting max Zeal (75% needed with phase and no Fana) with CMoon. The pulse dmg lessens the impact of static procs because static takes less life when monsters have...less life. This is really going all in on Light dmg unless you load up max sockets with 5/5 facets, but then you’re squishy.
Doom: ups defensive characteristics while giving a +2 skill bonus as well as some guaranteed min dmg from Freeze. Might need a Bow Merc with Fana to really shine- Maybe BiS for MFing with dual dream setup with Conv active if you’re doing something like solo AT/pit running with your tesladin. Enigma on you, Bramble on merc to squeeze out a bit more min dmg with the roughly 10X dmg return.
Griz set: lots of sockets, lots of facets. If you use Beast on swap, you can hit 4 frames attack rate, with 2 shaels + whatever you want, although it’s probably tougher to aim than Zeal.
Beast: Caddy can be best because of skills. You can really get a high OW% with Gores and Dracs, which could lead to a poison-like play style of moving onto next monster if targets are still alive when you finish a zeal since OW gets up to a few thousand dmg. Leveraging the Fana would seem to be dual dream with Conv active so that your merc can use something other than Infinity. Infinity hits hard, but there are better options, and why I think you’re going to get better results if you go dual dream with conviction active, in general.
If you’ve made it this far, here’s where it gets fun. Merc setup. Cant go wrong with Reapers, this needs no explanation and pairs well with Grief or beast. Beast really brings your merc into the equation. There are a lot of huge raw dmg RWs that you could use on an A2 or A5 merc (including Destruction- it has fireworks, but not a ton of dmg from them), but you already have great single target dmg, only light immunes and Baal himself will take more than a couple hits to kill. So getting Merc some AoE can be the real game changer. And you basically have two options: Rift pole or Voice Of Reason sword.
A2 Rift Pros: let’s you get an another Aura, Rift is higher level Orbs, casts on attack.
A2 Rift Cons: getting ias, Res all, CBFrozen, and FHR limits helm/armor choices.
A5 VoR Pros: has CBF, the dmg to demons and undead is botd lvl ed in an eth Cryptic or Champ Sword, Phase is easy ias bps without Fana, A5 have no FHR animation, Can use NW Veil to get cold close to Rift. They have high base res all and great life regen.
A5 Cons: lose Aura, doesnt do quite as much dmg as Rift, casts on strike not attack, although you might see more procs to balance it out because of the better FHR.
My first setup will be dual dream with VoR phase A5 merc wearing Treachery.
