I cannot count the times that I had to console a single mother after she shares with me the hurt she feels when her beloved son disrespects her. Every time that I do, I am reminded of the years I resented my mother due to the absence of my father.
In this short video, I was led by Ruach HaKodesh (The Holy Spirit) to address not only the disrespect that some of my recruits display to their single mothers, but also remind them that it’s one of Yahuah’s commandments that they honor their mothers or their life will be cut short! I pray this short video will encourage all the single mothers who sacrificially raise their sons in the midst of this wicked world. Shalom

What a piece of crap video, i see nothing but young males being brainwashed to be obedient and accept false premises without critical thinking. Single mothers who break the family and leave their children's fatherless are deadbeat mothers who should be ostracize from the society.
I hope this "academy" fails asap.

Your perspective is small. I havent watched all the videos however, I have seen enough to see he teaches the whole family. Also, when he says mother he may not mean the biological mother that may or may not have abandoned them. He may be speaking on behalf the mother that cares for you. I don't necessarily agree with what he is quoting, but I believe in the power behind the lessons.
I wish something like this was in my area as I do social work and this would be very helpful to some if not most of the kids I work with. Keep doing the work

Imu Lippo I see your point, but I think you’re being a little judgemental. Think of him as speaking in generalities and not specifics.
And yes, as you get older, you should learn to think for yourself and not just believe whatever you were taught. You can disagree with your parents and still respect them.

I am here at 5:50 in the morning, looking at this and holding back the tears that are choking in my throat and burning my eyes.
I've raised two boys and two girls with a dad in the home as a provider...but in many ways an absent parent. We did go to church as a family consistently. My children are all adults, college grads and "good" young adults.
I have a grandson, and two granddaughters from one of my four children. This grandson is my life. I love them all, but he has a special place in my heart. He is 12 years old, full of anger, and has changed so much in one year. He dislikes his mom to the max, says he loves me, fights with his two younger sisters, and is just rude; now I am included in his rudeness. His mother is a single parent, but lives with the dad of the last child. He has kind-a declared his parental roll to all three children...they love him! But he is not teaching my only grandson to respect his mother nor women... My heart is broken, that is why I came here searching for help.

I realize the context of this video is single mothers. I do want to add from personal experience that fathers can be narcissists, tyrants. I did as I was told and it harmed my life deeply. There was no man there to call my father out and help me.
I think it’s important to be able to distinguish whether a father or mother is mentally or emotionally ill. This is a practical necessity in this world. Children and young men cannot do this for themselves.

I only get a chance to have a phone call with my folks 2-3 times per week because of the 15 hour time. difference. Amen! Beautifully explained brother. Have to add to your words. Loving mother and father is like loving the two parts that you are made of. By loving and understanding yourself, the two parts if you will, you start to become aware of how and where are your parents, friends, teachers, people etc. at. They give the Best they can, the only love they know of. Remember that. We all grow in under different circumstances and only learn one angle, become aware of wider story here and you will understand way more about life and this Universe. Respecting your parents is respecting yourself.

The word “honor” does not mean that we tolerate abuse and obey our parents like mindless robots. It does not mean we have to love parents who chose to abandon, reject, or abandon us. The original Hebrew word kābēd used for the word for honor has many meanings according to the New Interpreter’s Bible, including to "be heavy.” This definition can be interpreted as “giving weight to” or seriously considering a relationship. It does not suggest being subordinate or obedient to parents who harm us.
Parents should not be laying hands on their children...period. Jesus even said, who ever harms these little ones...children are not responsible for their parents singledom or stress, nor should it be taken out on them nor should they be a slave In their home.

We need to teach young black men to not run out on women when they get pregnant. Being selfless is hard but if you get someone pregnant you need to stand up and be a man. Never understood why this is such a foreign concept in the black community.

Mothers aren’t perfect, so what if your mother asks you to commit a sin? Are you still supposed to follow God’s commandment to obey your mother?

Good advice. But fact is, most single mothers are horrible parent, but most single fathers do just fine. Loving one's mother is common sense, but when the mother is not raising the child right it's better to recognise it and move away when you are mature, I am not talking about physically moving away, mental distancing. When a woman is marrying one after another and giving birth to children, then the mother might be still lovable, but never respectable; she brought an unhealthy childhood in her children's lives by her own stupidity.
