That 127 dollar apartment is pretty much the standard for ordinary locals when it comes to one bedroom houses. Mostly they vary in size. I can tell the apartment is a bit squeezed for a one bedroom apartment and it doesn't have a separate kitchen. But the trend with the landlords nowadays is to squeeze as many units as possible in an apartment building/space available. Older apartments, say from 15-20 years ago are normally more spacious for the same price. The 350 dollar apartment is good but mostly will attract upper middle class Kenyans who can afford the monthly rent. You can find the same apartment in other neighbourhoods going for between 250-300 dollars but of course it depends with the location. At $350 you can also get a 3bhk bungalow/own compound brand new in gated community.

The fact you are intergrating with local life shows that you really are serious about making kenya work for you. Most foreigners don't realise Kenya is cheap, as long as you do your research and you're willing to make sacrifices you'll live a lavish life

That $355 is even expensive. That can easily get you a bungalow with our own compound in better outskirts of Nairobi.... 20min drive from the cbd. With better surroundings and trees. Also cheaper retail prices of same items

Check properties also on Limuru Road via Village Market road in an area called RUAKA. There are very modern houses. MANY KENYANS Living in the US stays there when they are visiting their home for short period. It is about 33 min from the city centre and very close to the American Embassy.

For Kshs 50k i can get a very spacious 4 bedroom standalone maisonette, with a parking for one, in a gated community at Nasra gardens or Sossion estates.

I love your content. Doing a great job for Kenya. In Kenya you can afford anything. If you have 100 dollars you can still get an apartment. If you have a job that allows you to work online and interested in coming to kenya karibu. Musa try going to other counties like Nakuru, Embu, Eldoret, Kisumu. You will be shocked at how cheap it is to live in Kenya. The only challenge we have is lack of jobs and money. Thank you.

I like the $355.00 apartment. Its spacious and bright. Lots of sunlight.
The only problem is you have to buy everything ( beds, chairs, washer, refrigerator, etc. ).
... and in Nairobi, you can find that stuff for the right price too if you look... and they deliver too😊
Furniture is very affordable.
Infact it's better to buy your own stuff. You can easily get the best set fit for your budget

Having said that, individuals from the United States or other locations with a robust currency and a stable income have the potential to take advantage of this opportunity.

This 3br 3ba is beautiful! Thanks for telling us where the Apts. Are located and the name of the building!!! The floors are beautiful. That would be 3k in LA in a bad area. Is 355 unfurnished? What about stove&fridge is that extra or included?
These prices reflect an unfurnished apt. A furnished apt will increase the price by a decent amount. I recently did a video of a fully furnished apt going for $900.
@@mfalmemusa You can also try Athi-River area in the outskirts of Nairobi. They have affordable houses in gated communities. Most stand alone houses in their own compounds are available too but I prefer the gated communities for the diaspora as they'll blend well with everyone in a safeguarded area, kids can play together as well.
Come to Syokimau Mombasa Road..many good apartments and many others coming up.
Stove and fridge you have to get on your own. But you move with them when you change apartments.
They won't set you back too much though. $1500 is enough to buy your basics like a couch, bed, mattress, cooker and fridge.

@@mfalmemusa I pay $660 per year if I pay in full. My landlord allows tenants to only pay for 11 months if we complete the amount within two months. It allows us to focus on other things rather than paying rent. I work online as a tutor, and I help American and UK students with their assignments. I make $100-150 daily, so I have enough savings to invest and improve my life. Americans who can access better online jobs can quickly become millionaires if they come to Africa to invest. Paying too much rent is not worth it in Nairobi because people don't compete like that here.
