    Bro, I am Kenyan American, having lived in Texas for 20 years. Watching this video and your experience here in the US working like crazy, and the decision to relocate to Afrika (Kenya), I feel inspired to move back home. I am literally seeing myself in you - working long hours and being taxed heavily for working hard! Not having time for family, etc. Thank you for the inspiration. I’m on my way back home.

Kenya stays on high terror alert over a 2013 thing but Paris gets attacked twice in a week and theres 0 travel advisories against it. @mumbingugi Рік тому +6

      True. And just just to expand on this, the process is called value-addition and has been recognized by African governments as the quickest way to generate wealth and create jobs. You see, Kenyan farmers are extremely hardworking and have been producing cash crops such as horticultural crops, coffee, tea, cashew nuts, macadamia nuts of very high quality for decades. But due to neo-colonial policies, all these products were being exported mainly to Europe as raw products and the farmers paid peanuts. But African leaders are starting to wake up and are now encouraging their people to process these products into finish products before exporting them or selling them locally. The Kenyan government has set up Export Processing Zones (EPZs) with tax incentives for this purpose. For those AAs who want to do this on a large or medium scale, they can google EPZs in Kenya. The country is also a haven for techies who are interested in start-ups etc. You can start by googling the tech innovation centres such as iHub to give you an idea of what is available locally.

    • @malkia7558
      @malkia7558 Рік тому +3

      Very good suggestion. We have 47 counties and I already see some governors engaging investors in value addition. Every county has something to offer and we need to focus more on export. This is definitely a niche investors can thrive in.

I also relocated to Nairobi a few weeks ago. I visited East Africa (including Nairobi) in 2022. I also went to West Africa. Nairobi stood out to me. I negotiated remote work, paid off my credit cards, sold my car, and gave up my apartment. I still earn over 100k while working remotely. It's the best decision I've ever made because 100k didn't go that far in the U.S. when I had to pay rent, car payment, insurance, credit cards, etc. The only thing I still pay in the U.S. is my student loans.

    I agree with the education part. I put my kids through Kenyan schools and I am paying 4k Usd annually and they are getting top class education. Security is top class and the teachers are professional. My black kids don't get judges and there is no wyt propaganda being propagated. They brains are clean and fresh.

    Coming to Kenya from a very different background but still enjoyed this video! Thanks so much for reminding about the giving back part - even if I give back through my work already, I really want to do some of my own projects for the benefit of people here once I have the resources and feel settled and stable myself in Nairobi 😊 It just takes a while to get adjusted but I’m sure I’ll have the headspace for that at some point.

      When u visit look at what is missing and try to see if you can introduce it here. Keep in mind Africa has young generation so technology anything even video arcades, amusement centers can make you money. Also food is important look into farming research on what can give you passive income. Top in East Africa if serious in farming you can make very good money and live extremely better than out there. Here you can create wealth for generations there just riches.
