That was pretty impressive. Too bad there isn’t a version with a little more ground clearance and some skid plates.
Yeah I was actually surprised at how well it performs off-road, at least at getting the power to the ground. It certainly could use a lift and skid plates. Maybe Chevy could make a Z71 version or something. It would easily outperform an Outback with just a few changes.

Be interested to see how the GMC Terrain AT4 handles this course.
I have a video up of the Equinox which has the same AWD systems. I know the terrain AT4 does have some additional features (mostly cosmetics with slightly more aggressive tires) but mechanically they are the same.
Why GM removed the automatic AWD activation while driving from a lot of the lineup puzzles me!
More fuel efficient for better EPA ratings.

Sad to see GM taking the stupid pill. No 4.3L barely any clearance. Seems like a nice crossover grocery getter.
The new 4.3 would be interesting in a Colorado-based 4 door Zr2 SUV to compete with the Toyota 4 Runner, Chevy put out that the had no full ladder frame type 4 by 4 SUV because they did not want to interfere with cross over sales, but Toyota makes one and the RAV is their number one seller, and they sell plenty of 4 Runners. Get it going, Chevy. It is also interesting that Ford and others perhaps are making a small AWD pickup, and here is where Chevy should just do it be different like on past projects, and build a new S10 Pickup full line full ladder frame 4wd with
a two-door Blazer Zr2, stand-up Chevy, people want it. Yes, Chevy a 4Wd Blazer S10. It looks like, however, Chevy is bringing a new Colorado with the 2.7 Turbo 4 and a spaceship-like Equinox and Blazer EVS, they will sell big, as well as the Silverado EV, but Chevy what about an S10 line and something SUV to take on Toyota based on Colorado. You are missing sales chances.

It's more of an S-10 blazer than a K5 blazer. Either way, it should have been named something else. Like the Mustang Mach E, 2nd Gen Dodge Charger/Challenger, and many others.

That's the evolution, think S10 Blazer vs K5 Blazer. It's been trending this way for quite sometime, and the new Blazer RS is actually more capable than most crossovers. It's definitely not a K5 Blazer though!
