Tutorial:Floating keychain / minifender Like this video? Buy me a cup of coffee to help out making more! ko-fi.com/rope... Tools and cords: www.snellman.ax
Brilliant Mikko - as just about always! Now I have a practical purpose for the 1,000 plus wine corks I did not have the heart to ever throw in the trash or recycle! Vernon in Vancouver
If you like this kind of thing, I'd also suggest looking up "nalbinding" as a topic of interest. There's some crossover there as a textile/weaving art. (Basically the same thing, but with yarn rather than rope.)
Is there a formula to estimate the amount of cord that will be needed? Like maybe wrap the cork 20 times? Or just a guess based on experience? Thank you for another great video! I'm going to try this very soon
@@mikkosnellman thank you! I have a few books on knots and I love the art if tying a good knot or using one functionally. But books have been replaced by videos like this. You've inspired me to up my game
Where can you find the cork for this project? I have searched craft cork and fishing float cork, but can't figure it out. Recent subscriber/facebook follower - I love it!
Just a fun project to demonstrate needle hitching. You can use same technique to make a boat fender or cover bottles. This one makes a floating key chain.
Finally, a video of exactly what I've been looking for. Thank you for doing this!
You are welcome.

This is one I have never done but I am planning on trying

Скажите пожалуйста, что за музыка играет в фоне?
Tell me please, what kind of music plays in the background?
Can´t remember, sorry.
Sad Romance from the Korean movie 'Over the green fields'.
I have been looking for this type of knot and will be using house hair. Can you tell me what kind of needle is that you're using?
This needle is made by me, but you can search for "paracord needle" or "permalock"

For me the estimate is based purely on trial and error.
I see you use hard laid linen, what size?
That´s my #4 (2,5mm)
I can't seem to find linen cord does hemp work as well or that itchy dark brown stuff that I hate? Can't think of the name of it at the moment
@@mszoomy Hemp is much like linen (flax). If you need linen cord, please check at www.snellman.ax

That is just a champagne cork I turned round :)
Looks like I'll have to drink a bottle or two before trying this out. Thanks! Lovely tutorials. Cheers from Oregon, U.S.A.
Great video!
I was curious the diameter of the red cord. Also 2.5mm?
Also, how large is the hole drilled in the cork?
The red cord is 3mm and hole 6mm
What's type the rope you use?
In this video I use hard laid linen. All the cords I use in my videos are made in my own ropewalk.

What is it? Please tell me kindly.

I did it all just wondering. Maybe it's something that makes me feel bad.
если туда кусок свинца засунуть, то можно будет как цеп использовать
Супер.
