- GIBBSTOWN, NJ - At approximately 16:48hrs, Station 21-1 was dispatched to the area of 299 Swedesboro Ave. (The Red Roof Inn) for a reported commercial vehicle fire. While Command was en route (21-101), Communications advised that police were on location and they had a tractor trailer cab on fire, and no trailer attached. Command arrived on location and reported a Tractor Trailer Cab fully involved adjacent to the building. Crews from ladder 21-16 (Gibbstown) arrived and began making quick work of the fire. An additional engine from Paulsboro (17-1) and East Greenwich (19-1) also responded and assisted with firefighting operations due to the remote location and lack of easy access to a hydrant. Units quickly placed the fire under control. At the time of this publication, no injuries were reported.
Y’all did an amazing job! My ex-husband used to manage a fleet of semis for a dedicated account. Resin-coated fiberglaass burns hot and fast, and most trucks literally have to be scraped off the payment. I’ve honestly never witnessed a semi fire extinguished with such expertise. Props to your awesome firefighters!
I love how the Chief got suited up and was ready to run the line.
Great vedio
Great shot, I love seeing the Chief fully suit up including mask and taking the knob right off the bat.
hey great video!
Too bad he didn't park a little closer to the Red Roof Inn. Great footage by the way.
how much doze the 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 weight with water in them??
What's with the one in overalls
Why is the ladder truck 1st due and didn't get a hydrant or the engine get the hydrant
Ladder house was probably closer to the " call" 🤷♂️ he did get a good knockdown with his 250 or 500 gallons, I was kinda surprised.
How much PSI does the hoses put out?
It can vary a lot, we like to stay around 100 PSI, sometimes more, sometimes less if we're dragging it around corners inside a house
Guess the driver had some HOT tamales on the stove....
