Taskforce 17-1 was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Broad St. late Tuesday evening around 23:30hrs for a dwelling fire. Gloucester County BLS 16 arrived first, and reported smoke coming from the address. Units from West Deptford, Gibbstown, East Greenwich, Paulsboro as well as units from Mantua and Logan all responded for the incident, and additional mutual aid to cover the departments responding, on the confirmation of fire by command that arrived shortly after EMS. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire on the first floor and also performed extensive ventilation and overhaul to ensure no further fire spread. Utility companies were also on scene to secure the dwelling's services. No injuries were reported at the time of incident, and the residents were already out and accounted for. The fire is under investigation by the Gloucester County Fire Marshal's Office.
Great coverage
Thanks for sharing. I listened to this on Broadcastify last night here at home in Maryland.
Nice work Brent. I must be getting old. I didn't hear any of this. I'm about 4 blocks from here too.
I lost my home to a fire 3 years ago. It's crazy just how traumatizing it is when it happens to you. I had no shoes on my feet and only the clothes on my back that smelled like smoke. The ambulance and fire crews were amazing. Red Cross gave me $500 to buy clothes and then I was on my own to figure everything else out
