If y'all would Throw a guy a discount, I'd order a deck over tilt with dual front jacks... Since no apparently no one has ever ordered one. No pictures online and no dealer is able to provide info on how the jacks are mounted....
@@wvmurse check out this link to a UA-cam review on a bumper pull DET with dual jacks, we think it shows what you’re looking for. ua-cam.com/video/oG79Rd8qTGI/v-deo.html Thanks!
Being old school, it's "to ramp" for me, I like to have the option even if I don't use it often. And I would be going with manual ramps, not bashing on hydraulics I just like to keep it plane and basic. Awesome deck over trailers! I'm sure the fall engineered beam versions will be a must have for sure!
My next trailer will be a Diamond C !! I especially like the front tongue toolbox with storage lid. I access the toolbox every time I use the trailer and nothing is worse than a flimsy latch/ lid assembly. Between the extremely good quality and really innovative little add on, thats why I will go with DC this time.. (even if it takes awhile, thats industry wide right now and it will change in time). Patience people ! Thanks for sharing and God Bless Ya'll !
we have a 20 foot hdt 14900 i get all kinds of complements on the build quality and that it has a real tongue box with extended space for extra load space. i live in santa rosa california. if you could put a trailer dealership here where i live you could sell a bunch of trailers
Checking in to see how far out the engineered beam design is you talked about in this video? Currently looking at the DEC bumper pull model, would considering waiting for the updated version as it’s not a need right now trailer.
I have a brand new HDT, less than 1000 miles on it so far. When I received it, the storage lock was broken. Since then, 3 of 4 hubcaps are leaking, the handle for the hydraulic tilt valve broke off just going down the highway, and now the rear axle brakes are overheating. The dealer has done nothing but tell me they are going to do things for the last two months. $13k for a trailer and it's going into the shop (on my own dime) a couple months after I bought it. Unbelievable.

@@hap9915 No. Diamond C never returned my email. It took several months of back and forth with the dealer to finally get a box of parts. By then, I had already fixed it on my own dime. I will never buy another Diamond C. Overpriced junk. And the company thinks their sh*t don't stink.
Looking at a DET 208 20' (I might like a 24') but worried the ramp angle is going to be too steep. Trailer will carry large CTL or 5 Ton excavator and also lumber and building materials. Is the tilt deck significantly steeper than the dovetail and ramps?
Great question! 22’ is around right around 14 degrees which is consistent with dovetail and ramps. I would say it will actually be a smoother, safer loading experience than dovetail and ramps since you won’t have the transition from the from the ground/dove/ramps.
@Diamond C Trailers Honest Question here. I've been told that Diamond C has discontinued this line of trailers, is this true? I was looking to purchase one but was told that they had been discontinued due to there not being a big enough demand for trailers of this kind, or have the old models just been discontinued to make way for the engineered beam models yall talk about at 1:59 in the video.
Thanks for asking! Happy to report that that’s not true at all 😁. We are still full steam ahead building the GDD, DEC and DET models. They are still live to build on our website to order through your preferred dealership or in stock at dealerships. www.diamondc.com/trailers/equipment/ Thank you!
Is the DET available yet with the engineered frame? I don't see it on your website as an option. Also, what would the weight savings be between the I-beam and the engineered beam?
True that! It’s hard to go into detail about what pay load is per model because the model can vary so different when it comes to options and lengths. For instance a base 14’ LPT weighs around 4,350lbs but with a gooseneck package, and taller 7ga sides could come in close to 6,000. The actual payload would vary quite a bit between the two being that both are still rated at 14,900lbs GVWR. Hope this helps!
I want a diamond C deck over so bad but with only one dealer close to me that has no interest in helping me get into one and keeps none in stock is a bummer
Interesting to see that you don't install the wheels on the front axles when trailers are parked in your yard. I'm guessing that's because it makes them easier to move? Do you make a deck-over gravity tilt model? Can you get any of these trailers galvanized ... if so, do you galvanize the axles too?
Great question! Not in the models listed here BUT you can get a PX210 Pintle Ring with a Hydraulic Dovetail. We could also do a custom PX207 with hydraulic Dovetail if you needed lighter weight axles. It just depends on what kind of weight you are needing to move. 👍
@@jgoings13 shortest a hydraulic dovetail trailer can be is 30’ overall, any shorter moves the axles too far up and cause it not to pull well. Can definitely build one in that weight range. 👍
@@diamondctrailers so we could do 30ft. What the highest weight rating we could run with super singles and not duels. Thanks we’re outta Ohio should I go through a dealer around here to build and price?
@@jgoings13 Highest weight rating on singles would be 25,900lbs. Yes, work with a dealer and let them know you want a PX212 in an SS (super single). It’s not listed on the website but we can do it no problem. 👍
Thank you for your comment! Great question! We are shipping trailers every day 😁. We make the videos for viewers to learn about models and options for the future, not necessarily just today. Like many industries we are in a season of very high demand. Even though we are producing more than ever demand remains higher. We believe that lead times will return to more of a normal level in the coming months. 👍
It has been a season of bait and switch by your dealers who act as if they are all too good for financing and can get above asking price. I’ve been trying to get a trailer for years now and should’ve just custom built and gotten financing, but I don’t want a damn “consumer financing” hit on my credit. I’ve had 8-10k square feet of my inventory stuck in misssissippi for three years. I really wish my business wouldn’t be delayed by this still :/ I cannot find a dealer who will take me or my time seriously. I bought a brand new Laramie ram 3500 in November 2019 and I haven’t driven it 100 miles yet!!!!

Is there a switch on the trailer somewhere to activate the flashing amber lights if I order that as an option.

Would you guys recommend oak floor or Blackwood since they are similar in cost? Which one would last the longest with the lowest maintenance cost?
Are there any videos with the GDD trailer?
I just ordered the 16’ GDD trailer in Industrial Orange for cabin build me and my kids are building. Is the GDD a new name for this same deck over?
Can you put a winch on a DET? and would it go on the front of the bed or mount to the main frame?
