Would love to see a series on trailer offerings as related to specific size vehicles. E.g options for a 2500 or 3500 size truck for different goosenecks/dump trailers detailing dry weight, useful load capacity etc

@Diamond C Trailers great video as always Jacob. I own a trailer repair shop in California and I’m a big fan of Diamond C trailers just in general. If you ever have a minute to speak I would love a chance to give you some ideas on how to take your company UA-cam to the next level. By no means is this a sales pitch no as all. Do you guys make a bumper pull with the hydraulic dovetail?
Do they make a cordless controller to operate the dovetail and jacks with out having to manually switch the valve ? If not are there any other options to do this from the cab ?

That’s a great question! The hydraulic dovetail is about 350lbs more than the Max Ramps.

I would like to see how the pump/dovetail latching mechanism works; it would be nice.
What happens past level within the mechanism that the slide lock engages or disengages? The pump seems to be flowing one way the whole time, would it not extend the cylinder to the stop/lockout position?

So why are they hydraulic dove tails so popular over the hydrualic tilt? Seems the tilt would be stronger/easier to clean, more versatile for loading containers/pipe and easier offloading. What are the pros/cons of each?

Great question Lloyd! If your CHT has a hydraulic power unit that controls the bed you can definitely add a wireless kit. The wireless kit is plug and play on the KTI power units. 👍

Assuming it has smooth steel drums, I expect the best bet for you would be the rubberized version.
Even with the cleats, steel on steel sounds like a losing proposition in the traction department to me.

I've been watching your trailers for some time now and I have a couple of questions. Regarding your flatbed with the square above the gooseneck and your 12 ft hydraulics tilt. How much weight will your hydraulic dovetail hold? The reason I'm asking I plan on putting a 27 ft fifth wheel on top of the trailer axles removed and then behind that on the dovetail putting my Jeep Wrangler TJ which weighs about 4,500 lb. I plan on doing cross-country traveling Towing the setup with my F350. Once I reach my destination wherever I choose to buy property I will remove the trailer and use it for business.

Hey there Southern Wulf, We wouldn’t recommend that on a Hydraulic Dovetail.
That can easily be done on a Max Ramp, XDR ramp or Straight Deck though.
@@diamondctrailers I'm only asking cuz i plan to pull a small 6x12 bumper pull for bags and airsoft storage while the gooseneck would haul the atv, hmmwv, etc.
How do you add and change the hydraulic fluid. There is no room to get to it? I just got a new FMAX 210 hydraulic dove tail and hydraulic jacks 30ft trailer. 😊
If you're having space issues with your fluid we recommend you put your oil in a smaller container and angling your pour sideways.

Do you guy test trailers before they leave factory?
I ordered trailer from dealer and got home to find out the brakes wasn’t even adjusted on trailer
We sure do test the brakes on every trailer. 👍
However all drum brakes need to be burnished in which also auto adjust at the same time. Here is a quick Lippert video that talks about the burnish process.

@@diamondctrailers Wow that is impressive, I am a trailer dealer back in the 80s it was like 500 or 600 for something clumsy you were afraid to load on. I used to tell customers I wouldn't give up the GVWs unless the trailer was for a designated machine. The came lock lift system is just brilliant.
