This is sort of a hazard sidewalk, might have been better and easier to fill in the blank spots with dirt and put seed down😂 Honestly, sidewalks like this in my area are taken out by homeowners, and occasionally the local city will fix sections that sink or break from root intrusion. 👽
Landon is an amazing young man. You two are inspirational to me as a mom to a young boy. I plan to instill the ethics of hard work and reward into my son as well. It is soo hard in this electronic loving world.
WOW! What an undertaking! There certainly was quite the physical exertion on THIS makeover! Eric, kudos to you as a parent to instill generosity and assistance to those in need. And to Landon for putting forth all he's got for every job that he helps you with. What a pair you two make! God bless you both and to your entire family.
I love it when you include your son in the jobs you do, it teaches him the value of hard work and the rewards from happy customers. Great job on this sidewalk 😊
I like these hidden sidewalk exposures. Put the finishing touch on it by power washing it. I continue to enjoy seeing you work with your son Landon. Not too many of today’s kids are willing to work that hard particularly with their Dad. I also like the patience you show with him by showing the right and often easier way to do things. You both should be proud of the relationship you share helping people.
Erick your sons are a blessing from God. You are tesching them things that they will carry all throughout their lives. I love watching them grow to be wonderful men.
Wow, just doing the sidewalk made that home look so much better. I'm very impressed with Landon's work ethic. Not many young kids would be dedicated to help their parents like him. Great job
Kids is building work muscles. I was doing construction by 14 and I was super strong in work muscle and stamina on a job. Keep going kid. You did an amazing job. Proud of you.
Great job! I’m amazed at the transformation you and your son achieved. 🎉 I have watched quite a few of you sidewalk heroes, but I have never seen anyone actually walk on them 🤔, are they only used at certain times of day?
Great job Eric and Landon that was a lot of back breaking work. Landon is growing so fast and he's a very hard worker. Its good that you are teaching him these skills. I watch Blessing Boys and Justin has 3 boys and they work and know so much about lawn care. Side walk looks so much better, but by the driveway that is an accident waiting to happen. Pressure washing it would look great.
That young managers he keeps doing what he’s doing and he’s gonna be done by the time he gets to High School! Nice to see your father and son working together!
What a nice thing 4 u & Landon 2 do. Cracked me up when he was crawling around on his knees, just like my boy used 2 do. Looks like it's safe 2 walk on now, besides all tidied up. Good job u 2!. Your Oregon Viewer.
Wow! This is the most overgrown sidewalk I’ve seen on any channel! Sure is some good soil! Landon has really grown since I last saw him! Great job you guys! - watching from Lake Wales, Florida
This job was A LOT of work! but so worth it,, looks so much better. Landon did really well shoveling all that up too. and yes a pressure washing would make it look even better. If you ever need a place to dump the dirt from projects like this, I have the perfect spot. 😁
NICE BUT I THINK IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE IT WASH. NOT BAD AT ALL. ENJOY YOUR CHANNEL. YOUR YOUNG MAN IS GROWING UP AND A BIG HELP TOO. HE GET RIGHT IN THERE.♥
Y'all did a excellent job on the sidewalk. I bet that y'all sleep good that night, that's real work. Just a thought, that should done by the city being it's their sidewalk. If any repair gets done it would not be the homeowners responsibility. 🤔 Great job though. 👍
09:25 The transition we've all been waiting for. I don't know why, but it bothers me more than it probably should that you keep scraping toward the edge rather than alongside it. Always threatens to damage the clean line that you're after, as well as the lawn on the other side.
What a mess. Erik can you tell me regarding footpaths, are they the responsibility of house owners of councils? Do repairs ever get done with cracked, crumbling ones? I would appreciate an answer, From Australia 🇦🇺
Yeah. I had the same question given the comments that suggest the homeowner is responsible for repairing the public sidewalk. In my part of the world, the city owns the public sidewalks and is responsible for repairing them and, thus, they are the ones that get sued for negligence and trip hazards, though the adjacent property owner is responsible for clearing snow (and presumably properly edging them). (For some reason, when the adjacent property owner is the city, that rule doesn't seem to apply.)
Nice area lazy homeowner to allow that to get so bad they were lucky no one was hurt because of the overgrowth , and that you came along here's hoping they maintain it.
I don’t think I would like open plan living with open garden and not having boundaries and fences in keeping my garden enclosed from the outside of mainly in My country England 🏴 is the footpath (sidewalks). They are maintained by the local authority of town councils and cities councils to handle these issues and highways maintenance issues and not the public responsible for maintaining the sidewalk or large public spaces for does American people own property from the edge of their road to this isn’t the case here in England where there is a grass verges and sidewalk the property usually starts near the sidewalk to have boundary lines and mostly gardens have fences to define the boundary. There has been some developments in recent years of housing developments that have adopted the American open plan gardens of people accessing their property right up to their houses walls of many different trees planted close proximity with the leaves of destruction of the grass from trees. I have a cottage like garden and enclosed garden with fences around my garden area to keep the outside of my fence clean and keep the sidewalk from litter and ice and snow but the large grass areas that you have shown in your videos. I would not like to live in America for this reason. What do you pay your taxes for in your respective state.
Erik nice job. But how much longer do you think your back is going to hold up under that kind of treatment? Need to stop trying to move the world and think of Erik. Just care about your health. Landon a hard worker
What you are teaching Landon is invaluable for sure. I grew up on a small farm and all of us worked like that. We weren’t thrilled about it at the time but we all grew up to be successful hard working adults. What you are taught in your childhood definitely carries over into adulthood. Plus, Landon will develop great muscles. Wish there were more parents out there who would love their children enough to do this for them and not be raising these entitled brats. Plus you are showing him what it is like and how good it feels to be charitable and giving to others. Life is not just about self but love for others.God bless your whole family and especially Landon for all his hard work.❤️🥰💕
Oh absolutely, I completely agree with Helen. Her statement above, You are doing a great job as a parent and as a role model. Thank you for stepping up to the plate, and being such a good parent here.
Lots of big cities don't bother either unless it's a walking neighborhood or accessibility issue. Here in Seattle it rains a lots, so lots of mossy wet overgrown sidewalks.
@@OutdoorswithErik Definitely add Seattle to your travel destination places to visit. I'm a native born and raised here. Less than 4 hours from Portland OR and Vancouver BC. You can take a bus, train or drive. Or the ferry to Victoria BC. There really is a lot to see and do here in the Pacific Northwest. Love to you and the family. Thank you for the content💕
You can tell how much Landon has grown. He really did good getting the grass up with the shovel when the last time I saw him trying to do it, you had to it all while he picked it up for trash can. Good job Landon 👏👏👍🥰🥰. Sidewalk looks great Eric 👏💖🥰🥰🤩
Oh my goodness!! Landon did a great job. You are teaching him more than cleaning a sidewalk. Thank goodness you didn't have to deal with Karen again. Awesome job you two. Eric that is moss on the sidewalk..
Another amazing job. The lawns looked well kept, so was there any reason the owners didn’t also take care of the sidewalk as well? Just out of interest, what do you do will the garden waste? The excess turf (sod), cuttings or other unwanted items from any job site? Are there any costs to dispose of this waste? What about fuel, equipment servicing and consumables (blades, trimmer line, chains, filters etc) - what does an average job cost (besides your time)?
How did Landon do?
I'm not sure if this sidewalk was any better, check this one out next - ua-cam.com/video/Y8d_nRwQXsc/v-deo.html

LOL glad to help them
Homeowner hasn't lived there that long
That's ridiculous. Oh my word. Come on home owner... it's your lawn! You and your son did a terrific job on its clean up

Thanks! Well thhat's a good question
Great job! Definitely needs power washing.

Now that’s a footpath super overgrown, pity you don’t have a gardenit would make good compost.😊
It was crazy overgrowth

The City should Repair that Sidewalk for Safety! 😳
Agree
I like to see how the sidewalk would look like power washed.
And God said let there be light on the side walk.
Very confusing at 19:20, I thought there was an editing mishap, must have come back later? Landon's scraped sidewalk is suddenly dry.
We came back, it was over 2 days, i mentioned that at end of video :)
Looks great. A power wash would finish the job. 😊

The homeowners who lived there for several years are in their late 70s. Everything had been let go until now
I could hear wind chimes in the first half of the video.
yes, it was windy
👍
Thanks my friend
U would think the city would of cleaned it long time ago
No kidding
You needed Heavy Machinery for this job!
Oh for sure!
Yes, power wash
They can call the city now that the sidewalk is done to have the city repair the sidewalk from that tree.
Amen
That is common moss.
