A very good neighbor. If someone is bothered by the noise then just bear with it for a couple of hours. This man is doing a great service. This is hard work.
Very cool that the neighbor not only came back to apologize but also brought you a drink. Not too many people can admit when they make a mistake and try to make amends.
Understood, but I am far more impressed with people who don't make that kind of mistake in the first place. That big buffoon confronted the guy about making noise during broad daylight just because he needed to sleep. Tough. If he had been civil from the beginning that would have been different, but he wasn't. He's a clown that was caught being a clown and backtracked hard.
I used to work 3rd shift, or graveyard shift as we called it, quite a bit and what Captain Grouch needs is blacked out windows and sound deadening in his room. The world does not stop because you are trying to sleep.
My DH and I worked all night, got off at 7AM and idiots would be calling and banging on our door at 10 or 11AM, then someone started building houses across the road. My neighbors were away on vacation and their grass was getting overgrown . The weeds were getting to be about 2-3ft tall. I went over and cut their grass for them because it was starting to look obvious that nobody was home . I wanted to make it look at least like somebody was watching the place so that someone looking for an easy break in would maybe think twice . When they got back, the husband called my wife and asked if I had cut their grass . My wife said I had , and he said his wife didn't want me cutting their grass because she felt I was "encroaching on their property" . No , Thanks for cutting our grass, but..... or anything like that . On the other hand, when I am cutting my grass, I will cut my next 3 neighbors yards for them or if they beat me to it, they will cut their yard and mine . We help each other out .
These people are hurting and probably very depressed! Wonderful that someone is helping them out to not incur any more fines. Don’t judge …next time it might be your family! This man’s a angel!❤

I've been that guy many times and had to apologize for it. Sometimes, I just go into a conversation expecting confrontation rather than just being respectful and seeing how it goes. Glad he came around.
At least the angry guy came back after he cooled off and apologized, he brought a cold drink with a lid and straw as well, very thoughtful thing to do for someone working outside.
Wow, why do people always see the bad? You guys are just as big jerks for judging what you don't know. He apologized and said he appreciated what the guy was doing and even brought him a drink. How many people have you guys helped for free or apologized to someone who you have wronged?

That was very considerate of the neighbor to come with a drink. I've never seen someone cleaning up the yard after dark, that shows how much you care about helping out others. Thank-you for caring for others. You did wonderful cleaning up that yard.
How many times do you suppose the neighbor stopped the home owners from mowing because of the noise? And then the crabby third shifter admits he was the one who turned them into the city, instead of helping his struggling neighbor. Neighbors like that make the struggle even harder. The way you dropped the edger and flipped around ready to defend yourself was amazing.
I’m trying to get on top of my yard that for 2 summers I couldn’t keep up with because I was struggling with leukemia. I’m in remission now and getting stronger everyday. That evolved to light landscaping and now he, his dad, some family members and friends are in full swing, primarily helping the elderly in desperate need, doing all kinds of external repairs to the houses, recovering gardens completely taken by brambles and so on. I wish I knew someone from Northern England to give you a hand. Meanwhile, check his channel. It's awfully inspiring and uplifting to behold. Sure....You can see the neighboring homes well kept but not one of them moved a finger to volunteer and go mow the lawn of those in dire straits ! Most people have become too selfish and with a heart hard as rock these days. The whole society is crumbling with every passing year.

Remember the old saying. “No good deed goes unpunished.” You just witnessed this for yourself. God bless you!
Very cool that the neighbor not only came back to apologize but also brought you a drink. Not too many people can admit when they make a mistake and try to make amends.
This is very true. Most people are too prideful to admit wrongdoing and apologize
It’s fake😊
Understood, but I am far more impressed with people who don't make that kind of mistake in the first place.
That big buffoon confronted the guy about making noise during broad daylight just because he needed to sleep. Tough.

People want to complain about others but they sure as hell don't want to help out either!

The man said he knew they were struggling, then why didn’t he mow their grass? Nobody is neighborly anymore!
Why don’t they mow their OWN f*cking grass? You’re not helping anyone.
Truth!

As a person who works night shifts I not once thought im going to say something to that neighbor for cutting his grass. That dude was ridiculous.
Ive worked nightshift nearly all my adult life throughout the years. You gotta plan accordingly, its just that simple. The world doesnt operate by our schedule and thats something we all have to learn to work around.
Ya, even though he reported them to code enforcement in the 1st place. Knowing what all they were going through. The guys still a big time jerk....
