I love my farberware stove top percolator! I have had it for12 years and is still like new and makes great coffee! It takes 12-15 from pouring water into to the pot, to finished cup and ready to enjoy. I highly recommend it! I had an electric percolator and only lasted 8 months and stopped working so I switched to stove top. I have gas stove but have used on it electric stove top and still my farberware stove top works great!
The Presto..hands down. My parents had one for over 40yrs. Now I have one, going on 10yrs. I use a filter. It keeps things clean and super fast to clean. Best coffee maker, in my opinion.
Don’t use filters. Better to invest in a relatively inexpensive grinder like the Baratza Encore. Percolators are designed to use coarse ground coffee not ground coffee like you use in a drip machine. Or, some stores have a grinder where you buy the beans. It only takes a minute to grind the beans on a coarse setting and doesn’t cost anything.
I have an expresso coffee machine but these percolators make such an especial coffee, I'm using more my electric Westbend percolator now than the expresso..highly recommended ❤😮
I need an electric perculator with a timer. I bought a perculator, I think it was the Presto one and it doesnt brew long enough to make good coffee. It just gets to boil and stops brewing. It wont be good unless it brews it for a few minutes or so. I dont know whats wrong with all these perculators but Ive literally only seen like 1 decent one on the market, that has a timer, so I bought that one and love it. WTF though? GOd all these other ones suck, or I dont know what Im doing wrong then.
Just bought the Presto cordless to bring to the table for large guests so they're not using all of my specialty coffee. Presto cordless works great for me. Coffee is piping hot and delicious. Not sure what model you have, but my model has an indicator light that turns on when your coffee is ready.
Yea I bought this model. As soon as it start to perculate, it stops and the light comes on. Makes tea coffee. I only buy timed strength adjustment ones now. This piece of crap made me mad. Not sure how you got good coffee out of it. Multiple reviews on it have the same problem as me.@@nathan3647

Does this have any plastic components that touch the water?

Is “expresso” the same as “espresso”?
What 10 or 12 cup electric stainless steel coffee percolator lasts the longest time in terms of longevity??
You cannot go wrong with the 12 cup Presto. I paid 43.00 on Amazon.
