    I definitely agree! On it all! I too love Akatsuka hybrids! I was gifted Akatsuka Mami Volcano Queen and it blooms so regular and many times! It's a strong cotton candy fragrance which later turns a little perfume. But it NEVER disappoints! I too love Little Stars! It's my favorite night fragrant orchid. Great video 😊

      Thank you Paula! I am blown away by the vigor on the Hawaiian orchids. I think that's what made me expand my collection so much. The fragrance is also a nice bonus. I hope you have a fantastic weekend ❤️😘

    I love your videos! I would have to say my easiest grower is definitely my Brassavola Perrinii. It was my first seedling and even through every mistake (and there have been several) it is still the most robust grower. My second easiest is the Brassavola Cucullata. Haha. There’s just something special about Brassavola I think 🌺🤗😁

    Definitely any of the RM hybrids are good for beginners, but not all of them are fragrant and fragrance seems to be one of the things beginners want the most. So even though Pcv Golden Peacock is lovely, vigorous, easy to bloom and produces a lot of little orange blooms, it is only there for the visual.
    I'm a bit surprised you didn't include your little nobile hybrid.

    • @NicoleDeanna
      @NicoleDeanna  Рік тому

      Golden peacock is cute, but I agree with you on fragrance being important! I didn't include the Angel baby because it's a little harder to find.

    Hi Nicole. Can you please share how you take care of the Pinocchio? I got one a couple of years ago and it has never bloomed for me. It's very leafy and healthy looking but not sure what I can do to get a flower spike.

      I have a bunch of repotting videos to get through, but I can probably do a Paph care video in a few weeks. How much light is it getting? It took mine a little over a year before the spike carne.

      Charleston s.c. I had 1 years ago but lost it during a move. we only have 1 garden shop that gets orchids other than regular phals. They have never had one. They get ones in bloom as gifts. . Occasionally miltonias , cattleya if they are in bloom and a phaph once. Since they are mature and blooming they are really expensive. Our box stores and grocery stores have reg phals but not in good shape. There is a nursery in N.C I believe but very expensive plus shipping. Carter and Holmes. But haven't seen one on their site. Hausermans doesn't. .... only ones I have seen was from ETSY and was $80 plus ship! I was afraid of shipping from Hawaii but if yours made it, ! Glad I came across your channel.

    Are all paphiopedilum orchids sequential bloomers? No I feel silly for cutting my paph’s spike after the bloom faded 😢

    • @kimdreyer4970
      @kimdreyer4970 Рік тому +1

      Pinocchio is a sequential bloomer. Most Paphs aren't. Maudiae and the American hybrids aren't sequential bloomers. Some have more than one bud per spike, with all spikes visible when the first starts to open (delenatii and philippinense, for example).

    • @NicoleDeanna
      @NicoleDeanna  Рік тому +1

      No, they aren't all sequential, some fade and dont bloom for a while, you're probably good:))
